Strange Tales of Ziggy and Daisy.

I have a cat name Ziggy and dog name Daisy. Some time I believe they ought to go to a shrink.
They have a strange relationship.

Daisy is a blue healer and most healers are on the brave side not Daisy. She loves chasing her ball and actual likes that more then food.
Well Daisy is sacred of the dark so at nighttime she sleeps in the house.
Between ten and midnight she comes into our room and gets me up to check and see if there nothing outside that may go bump in the night.
She also has me call in Ziggy she must figure it not safe for the cat to be out either.
So once I get Ziggy in she washes his face by licking him. Well Ziggy gets this discussing and anode look on his face like he saying, “gee mom my face is just fine”
Usual Ziggy likes to sit or lay on kitchen chair which Daisy real don’t have any trouble with that.
But if for some reason Ziggy goes some place else in house Daisy is first to inform me of his move.

Ziggy is much braver then Daisy he will go out in the field and hunt for mice and gopher.
One day Daisy decided to help Ziggy with hunting out in the cow field which is across the road from our place.
Well Ziggy had Daisy get on one side of the hole and she just sat there asking “now what” and soon she moved and Ziggy had to explain to her that anytime something might pop out.
So between the two they watch the hole but I believe nothing came about.
Ziggy usual brings me his prizes he catches.
But one day not sure is Daisy took or stole a gopher from Ziggy. Or even Ziggy just gave it to her. But she kept throwing it in air and playing catch with it.
The cat just watch for while and was thinking “What will this dog do for entertainment”

One day Ziggy must had enough of Daisy overly mothering him and bit her on leg no blood.
But I can understand why the cat get anode with the dog.

Photo Hunt happens on Saturday and some place it already Sunday in World.
This week Theme is View I was about to sit this one out for two reason I couldn’t think of any thing for view and I was going to get on my soap box but I’ve had the crud and my brain isn’t in full gear.

I decided to get down and take a picture of how my dog and cat my view the world from there level

This is what our dog Daisy may see looking out the front door looking toward the west. She doesn’t like to go out at night because they may be things that may go bump in night.
Plus she thinks the kitty should be in to. So she can wash the kitty face and that drives him nuts

This is what Ziggy the cat sees from his level. This is taken from our back yard by our bench looking east.
Ziggy is a little more to ground level then Daisy

I haven’t played Fridays Fill in for ages. So I decided to give it a whirl

1. doing some projects like cleaning out my closets, dressers and flower beds are some of the things I'm most looking forward to in October.

2. Sometimes I I get flustered that my ceramic shop isn’t going how I would like it to but I know I need to be more organized

3 Making unreasonable statements that we as human real don’t have any control over and that's why there is a saying, "never say never"!

4. When I'm down, I tend to munch my way though the day and usual it’s junk food

5.home or at work is where you'll find me most often.

6. A rainy day is good for plants, making the air fresh, jumping in puddles, singing the rain or even doing a craft project

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to to be more recuperated from this nasty cold , tomorrow my plans include restand Sunday, I want to a least do something fun or quite this nasty sniffle or cough!

In the know (Fall/Mabon)

Welcome to In the know Once a month on the 25th I ask question about something. This month question What is Mabon or Fall like in your area?

I don’t know why I consider the first of September actual the beginning of Mabon season.
Our weather in North Idaho starts to cool down and usually more of breeze picks up. I notice at end of August a few trees start to turn color.
Each day more and more are changing colors.
I notice two of our trees in back are pretty well naked of leaves.
I thought last fall our larch trees start to change there needles to a beautiful gold as I look out towards the mountain in our back or front yard there no goldish glow coming off the mountain side yet.

I planted sunflower in front by Bart window and they form heads but no seeds. Maybe next time around

Honest time…I let things go in the hot summer months My flower bed real look like crap.
During the heat I real neglected my flowerbeds now there full of weeds.
I was going to buy more bulbs but I decided I needed to take care of the ones I got. So far I clean out my patriotic flowerbed.
I did buy some white daffodils.

When it comes to fall I start think more in line of making soups or stews. Actual using the oven a little more

Like spring time it actual I start to do some projects. Because with out the heat.
I then become more chipper and like doing projects around the place.
I went thought our bedroom closet and got rid of some stuff some went to the thrift store, other went in trash and others went in the garbage can.
It looks a lot better but I need to do more

I wonder what my ancestors of the pass did this time of year. I recall my parents had a garden and my mom canned and froze things for the freezer.
I heard stories of my Grandma Olive (My mom’s mom) who had a little farmer cart and she sold produce from her garden in Nebraska they lived there from about 1923 until 1937.
The money she earn from that she bought the school clothes for her children.
I wish I could see a picture of it.
Most of my pass ancestors were blue color worker and farmers who weren’t afraid to get there hands dirty.

I guess the only one thing I would like to meet more people who’s faith is more Earthy Base ones.
The closes thing to that is at the gardenia center which to me more Interfaith.
A least they excepted other spiritual path then just one way

One last thing when I was young I did not like the wind. But now I do it brings change

If I would say if I could change one thing in the area I live in it would be “Let people be more open mind though changes”
I’m not sure what bloggers heard and read about Idaho but anything different here I notice people have a hard time excepting.

I recall I was eating an Avocado and soon one my relatives point out I was eating hippy food.
Then I know some one who had dread locks and they where clean and went into one of our local pizza place and the manger came up and said, “we don’t serve your type” (although this place isn’t in business any more)
When the ERA was part of the political issues. Most people here had an opinion against it.
So Idaho was one of the last states to approve it actual I don’t even know if they did approve it.
Now there the issue of the same sex marriage. Like the ERA most people I know are against it.
Because I know there people think people that Homosexual are out to turn heterosexual people in to homosexual.
Opinion time…You can’t change one sexual ordination to anther
If you aren’t an some type of Evangelical Christian or believe in there teaching. Your consider a devil worshiper.

Basically they use the bible to scare people on different issues here. Which real gets my goat.
Sure I’m sit in my ways but gee I hope I don’t get so narrow minded that I won’t want change or excepted change in my life.
To me people who won’t except change never grows

I would say is to offer these people information on different issue from all points of opinion on all the issues.
I believe Education is key to becoming more informed as a person.
I know their people who won’t read a opposing or listen to one. Confession time…every so often I listen to CBN News and also PBS News
I’m starting to find more people who think like I do or not as close minded.
I assume people thought I had opinion as my relatives do “ultra right wing and dubya is doing a wonderful job in white house”
Well I never voted for the man either time.
But like I said I think out side of the box and more I’m out side of the box. I like my self

Time Off

I’m taking a week off of work. I won’t call it a vacation because Murphy is still working and we real don’t have any plans to go any were.
Donna who I take care of I had some over time with her and I won’t get paid for my overtime hours I put in.
So what I’ll do is fill out a time card and that how most of us take care of the overtime we work with our clients.

So I have some project or I should say two groups of project I would like to get done.
One is to clean and organize the closet in our place and also to do the dressers here.
I know this doesn’t sound exciting and actual I’m not all that thrilled about it.

I’m taking one day and I’m going out and have some fun. Maybe hit the thrift stores in Sandpoint or so
I never been to auction here on Thursday I just might check that out.

Out and About

I haven’t blog hop for ages and I thought I would give it a whirl and see where I end up at.
I’m starting with Meow who lives in Vermont. I don’t what it is but I think of Tom and Jerry Ice cream when I hear the wood Vermont.
I decided just to dive right in and go and visit the first one on her blogroll “We’re all mad here”
Not sure why I real I picked this blog Giggle and Bubbles but I did and I end up in the state of Utah and the only place I been there is the airport in Salt Lake City.
I decided out of the blue to take a ride from her comment (Sept 14) now I’m heading over to Stace’s place still in Utah. My goal is to go some place else.
I have to say the first song on Staces blog sure have a nice beat to it.
I tried Flee and it got me no where so I’m back at Meow and we both do photo hunt on Saturday and I’m taking off from the first one who left her a comment there which is Criz Cat Sanctuary which landed me in a country far away in Malaysia.
I was going to take off from the last person who left a comment on Criz blog but some how I kept messing up so I’m moving down one comment on Meow blog which would be Warm Stone I have a strong feeling this is the same place which I was trying to go from Criz blog.
Well I’m winding down I enjoy visiting some old and new blogs.

Our roads aren’t very exciting but I have to say “I never seen a road that I would say wow about”
In the towns here the roads are paved and new of the county roads here are mostly not paved.
The road above is a farmer’s road between the grain fields. Which I start jogging on but haven’t yet jog the entire thing just started

Sky Watch Out ( Behind the Forrest Service )

It time for Sky Watch Friday

As part of my job I walk Rex plus it gives me exercise. Plus there been a lot of geese out in these fields because the combines went out a harvest plus there been droppings of different grains so the geese get to have feast until they burn off the stubbles.
So I got lucky and got a picture of some Canadian Geese flying over.
There was a hawk sitting on power line pole tried to get a picture of it but it just wouldn’t play nice

When I was young I recall laying on the lawn looking up at clouds and thought I was looking at heaven and hoping to see someone sitting on clouds.
These clouds sure don’t look like the type of clouds one would set on.
Then I got older and didn’t look up as much but since I start being part of sky watch now I look more at clouds

ABC Wednesday I Is For...

I been trying to become more healthier and I been keeping track of the inches I lost.
Some of course I gain or I don’t remember how I measured.
I don’t recall if I measured my boobs with a bra or not.
I took a minute and looked at my fitday and I somehow got my measurement mix up (fitday is on my side bar)
Well I lost 2 inches around my belly and .75 inches around my biceps

It Happen Again

About this time last year our Nephew Nate committed Suicide. There lot of question about life in general.
Last Thursday or Friday there was a sophomore (10th grader) at the same high school that my boys went and so did Nate went to.
Well this boy took a gun put it to his chin and pulled the trigger. It missed his brain and blew off his front of his face. He is in a Spokane Hospital and what I gather he will recover.
I start to once why last two school years why there was two suicides in our local community.
I know in lot of way people can feel or be isolated. Unless there is a mean of transportation by friends or family.
With Dubya in office lot of programs that would help someone out where cut or don’t know longer exist.
My friend Alice who was part of the mental health counsel because of funding no longer exist now.

It Could Of Been Drama

I’m not sure if today real went all that smooth but real no drama either.
I took a lady to Sandpoint to the eye doctor.
But for day I had no Internet services then I gave them a jingle. I thought it was due to billing.
Our Internet service was billed by our electrical company and there not doing it for what every reason.
I thought because I didn’t get hold of them they discontinued our service but that wasn’t the case but I needed to up date them with billing and e-mail.
So dial up is $19.00 a month and that’s the only thing available here unless I want to put in satellite and the monthly fee starts at $40 a month.

Rock Gathering Sunday

Murphy and I once again went on a rock gathering trip up placer creek with friends of ours Earl and Quenelle.
Well we met them at the Three Mile.
Murphy drove up there and I look at JC Penny Catalog shoe catalog. Statement time…I feel like I need a change in my life, most be going though mid life crisesand as I was looking at catalog I was thinking that my mom and I have trouble buying shoes but for opposite reasons.
Her feet were narrow and mine is wide.
So it always seem that the pretty shoes don’t come in wide width.

So as always we met at the three mile and as usual I drove our pick up and Murphy rode with Earl.
Earl and Quenelle has a strange relationship or let say a non-marriage.
Some day I at anther date or time I’ll blog about it.

As I was driving and ready to turn up Meadow Creek and right before it. I wasn’t pay attention were I was.
So I drove on buy and notice I was almost to the Moyie turn off. So I pull in the store on highway and flip a U turn and got up there.
And it didn’t take us long to get to our spot

We found a new area. We showed Earl and Quenelle it but they didn’t think they were physically able to do it. Earl was hurt in road construction job that we has working on.
And my friend Quenelle never has been much into physical labor.
Statement time…I wish I was a weakling what no physical strength Murphy has no trouble asking me to help him do manual labor with him I sometime wonder if I was sick or injured he would ask me to help him

Well Murphy and I stayed above the road and Earl and Quenelle went below.
Murphy and I were gathering a different size shapes and texture of rocks and next thing we heard was strange voice down the creek bed.
Couldn’t get the drift of the conversation but Quenelle voice caries.
In a short time we heard Earl yelling we got to go. So Murphy dump out the rocks we have gathered.
I carried down bamboo poles, which we use for a stretcher to carry out the larger rocks out on.
Plus I haul out the bar we used to move rocks.
I’m not saying Murphy didn’t push out an empty wheelbarrow. He took out netting, bucket, and the chain saw out.

We got down to the rigs and Earl explain that a cop was talking to them that they can’t collect rocks from the federal forrest with out a permit.
I ask them which agency it was and as I gathered it was forest service law enforcement. But I won’t bank on it either.
You see I think it was two weekends ago Murphy and I was getting rocks and the fish and game showed up.
Asked me what we were doing and told him gathering rocks and he said have a good day.
But this one told our friends we need a mineral permit to get rocks from the Forrest land

Oh well I’ll go and talk to the Forrest service tomorrow and see what it takes and all the detail

It Saturday and it’s time for Photo Hunt This week theme is WILD and next week theme is “road”

This week theme is wild and part of my job is to walk Rex and Friday we went out behind the Forrest Service building which is a large grain field.
I’m not sure how far we walk but I can tell you it was 16 power line pole and back to the car.
All the grain been harvest and I was hoping to see some large game but no such luck.
There a lot of Canadian geese getting their belly full from the grain that fell from the combines that harvest the fields.
Let me say wild geese is might good eating

I’m not looking forward to next week I work everyday. I’m wonder if I’ll get anything done around the place.
Or anything else like yard work or chance to work toward my ceramic shop. Sometime I feel hopeless

Well my son Bart got a job on weekend at Northern Home Center making $8 an hour

Sky Watch (No Action)

Its that time for Sky Watch

Can’t recall the evening but it was some time this week. During the evening I heard thunder and saw some lighting flashes and grab the camera.
“The old saying lighting never hit twice in the same place” or maybe a little bit of Murphy law can play also.
If you’re looking one way to get a picture of some lighting it happen some other direction.
So I tried the video part of my camera, which I’m total clueless about.
It something I want to learn to do is to make video clips.
So I ended up with a no action.

Drip Drip and Some Pounds Did Drop Off

I went to the doctor today because my ears feel plug and there this drip in back of my throat.
Anyhow it allergy problem.
And they weigh you and I lost 3 pounds since the last time I been on pair of scale. We don’t own a pair of scales even.
It seem like everytime I loose a few pounds what I do is celebrate my lost by eating or if I don’t loose or even gain I eat once again.
So I decided not to own pair of scale at this time.
So most people I know have a scale in there bathroom so I can hop on it and weigh in.

Part of my personal fitday they have a place for your body measurements.
So far I lost about half of inch around my bicep.
I was going to give you the measurements of under my boobs but I messed up.

I use to have a milage counter on my blog and every 100 miles that I put in my walking I would go out and get a piece of jewelry.
But for some reason I can’t get it back up.
The more I think of it and someplace I walk keeping track of the miles isn’t all that easy.
I’m going to switch over to every 25 days I walk longer then 20 minutes then I’ll get my self a piece of jewelry of course it will be costume.

My activity level is same thing day in day out and I real like doing yard and gardening work.
I’m thinking of doing some type of reward for gardening.

Well today I went though some of dress drawers and the top 3 pairs are little tight but the buttom one is more then a little tight

Well the good news I’m down to 196 pound. So by Halloween I want to weigh in at 190 pounds

I forgot to post about Small Town RN here what she briefly says “Then I got another idea. I know bloggers are such a generous group, I wondered how they would feel about knitting a basic square. I thought if I could get enough squares I could make maybe another afghan or maybe even two and then donate them to the Mental Health Society.
So what do you think. Are any of you interested in knitting a simple 8x8 plain old garter stitch square that I could make up into an Afghan? Please don't feel pressured I just thought, there are a lot of generous bloggers out there that might want to help out a cause.

Halloween I actual get excited about Halloween some may even call it Samhain Once school opens and I start thinking on how I can do my home for the spooks. Confession time…It seem I do more thinking and planning. Then actual doing

I’ve heard this breed of cattle is tuff ole thing. I guess in western shows of time gone by and it sure doesn’t look like an easy life going across some dust ole trail for miles on end

Huckleberries Huckleberries grows in the mountains here. Jam is real good made out of the berries. As you can see I’m about ready to eat a peanut butter and Jam sandwich.

Couple of things I want to remind my readers about what I know is going on in the blog world.

Heads or Tail (Box)

Every Tuesday Skittles hostess a meme called Heads or Tail and each week she things of a theme to post about and this week theme is BOX and next week is “recipes”

One thing I did was that I clean out from under our stairwell. I went though a lot of boxes.
And organized them.
Some of the stuff went out to the shelves in shed/barn.
Then other things went back under the stairs but I made boxes for certain items. Glassware, towels, and office supplies all got their own box.
But as I went though the boxes I ran into family heirlooms of all sorts of items.
All brought back memories of different sort.

If I got have a box for present day. I was going to put it in my future box but why wait.
In this box I would put in: peace, good will, good health, faith, kindness, hope, tolerance, joy, love, friendship, hope, understanding, and any thing that would do human kind right by.
This box would have plenty and never have a lock on it. So anyone could help them self to any of the items in it

Will I Do Any Thing

I don’t know if middle age is hitting home or not but I feel like I need somethings change in my life and other places I don’t.
Ok I real don’t want to change my hubby or place of residents. Honest time…their some change I would like to make in the home organization and décor

I’m thinking of doing some fashion changes in my life. If you call what I have in my closet fashion.

There Off and Running

Now the conventions are over for this time around for our presidential race. I real bet know one gives an ass rat what my opinion is but like I say it’s my blog.

When the campaign begin even before Super Tuesday it all seems the ones I’m cheering on gets out quickly.
It seems the two main one left I’m not all that thrilled about.

Now let take the republicans. I have to say I sort of like Earl Huckbear Confession time…I real couldn’t bring my self to vote for a preacher of any faith. I’m afraid they might have trouble keep the state and church separate. it would matter which basic sect they where from. I couldn’t even vote for JJ
Now of the rest of the candidates on the republican I have to say if any of them got it. I’m sure glad it was McInsane.
Although I won’t be voting for him.

Even my hubby is thrilled about Rock (I guess that I’ll call him for now) but for some reason I like him but I’m not all that thrilled with him as it seems a lot of people are.
When November comes and the polls show Rock leading by a large margin. I’m going to write in the little Martian for president.
When I tell people I like the little Martian policy they keep telling me he believes in ufo. Oh well I like his policy and for Vice President I’m going to write in Won although I real can’t stand most of his domestic policy but I real like his foreign policy.
But if it start to look like McInsane had a change of winning I’ll vote for Rock.

Some may ask me if I’m pro choice or pro life. I am “quality of life” I believe everyone should have a good life although not prefect from time of conception until the day you die.
Opinion time…It real gets to me when these pro lifer votes against any programs that would make life better for other then fetus
They vote against any school program, funding for anyone who takes a breath and might need to use a safety net

I’m usual an earlier raiser as Ben Franklin said “early to bed early to rise makes a man health, wealth, and wise” I’m non of those.
I usual get up before the chickens and I kept watching the sun come up and Honest time..As I watch the sun come over the mountain I real didn’t think there was going to be any cool sky picture
Then I peaked out my kitchen window and behold what beauty I see.

Open Doors (4 sets of dreams)

I’ve had a busy week so far and I want to be part of this photo challenge called “opening doors” which is being hosted by Heaven In Belguim and Thursday was the only day I could get this in on.
I did lot of my posting over last weekend

This is our door from the outside unto our basement. Two things I would like to in basement is to be set up and do all types of art mainly with clay. I would like giving my hand at wheel throwing and sculpturing.
I know nothing about woodworking but I have to say I admire it a lot. So I thinking I like to have a little wood shop in the corner.

The slider to our home needs to be replace and it goes right into the dinning area. Oh I could serve you some tea or coffee.

As I sit at dinning room table I thought I could be an interior designer, be a writer of many things a speech, a play, or even books. I guess my blog is my book of my expression and life.

This is the front door right into living room. Notice the geranium. I’ve been told that they keep evil out of house.
Oh well I guess evil spirits has two other doors they can use but we won’t share that with them.

My mom had this saying about people who came to your front door. “Only tramps and sell people comes to your front door”

Now this door goes into my kitchen. Actual I’m a good cook and better creative in the kitchen.
Would you like to stay for a bit to eat.
Dinner to night is watercress soup with bok choy and green onion.
Add a little miso for flavoring.
Then along with your soup I did open face sandwich with ground turkey cooked as patties.
Oh I real just want to cook up some chicken breast. No small package in the store.
Add some slice olives, slice tomatoes, slice mushroom, slice avocado, and melt cheese to hold it all together.
One thing I’ve dream about in kitchen is to be a catering chef.
I have no desire to work in a fancy or a cheap café.
Notice the broom I can make sure that the evil spirits are swept away.
