Today Is Friday May 22, 2026: This Is What Happened.

It been some time since I wrote a post of any length. It seems like a blog hop is an great way of doing a blog. BLOG HOP....A blog hop is an online networking event where bloggers in a similar niche write posts on a common theme and link to each other’s sites.

I decided to give FRIENDLY FEEL IN. for some reason I believe I done this before. But it been more than a decade. So here goes.

  1. I would be willing to pay more for CREATIVE SUPPLIES.

  2. I refuse to spend money on PORN AND POLITICS.

  3. My finances since we paid up our rigs insurance for the next six months. is is a bit chaotic.

  4. 4. A fun fact about me is that I can find something positive, even if the day seems like crap.

Please click here to TO READ OR TAKE PART.

I decided to answer to question form past blog post. At this time I'm going to answer a question from, HELS , and her question is Is voting compulsory in local elections? Voting isn't compulsory any place in the United States, to the best of my knowledge. I know people who never register to vote or cast ballot. Most of them claim to be anti- government. Personally I find this being pro- government. The reason they are freely letting people rule there life. What I notice they use government program. And if their government benefits gets cut they wine the loudest. OPIOION TIME...I FIND THOSE WHO VOTE IS MORE ANTI-GOVERMENT THAN THOSE WHO VOTE. THEY'RE LETTING WHO EVERY CONTROL THERE LIFE.

Our county of Boundary county has about 8,500 register voters. And in our we had roughly 3,500 voter show up to cast a ballot. So about 28% showed up.

I don't have any issue of of register to vote, and showing identification. OPIOION TIME.... I WOULDN'T HAVE ANY ISSUE HAVING COMPULSORY VOTING, AND ALSO HAVING VOTING THOUGH OUT JAIL AND PRISON SYSTEM.

I mention about people using the government benefits. We use social security, Medicare, and heating assistant.

I'm a fan of history, of all genres of it. So last night I was looking though my dad Grandmother on his paternal side. Not going into her history much. But I looked up the town she was born VanHornville, New York. I was wondering the history of the name VanHornville. Her two siblings was born in Dowagiac, Michigan.

My Great Grandmother Isadora (Dora) is the one in dark blouse, her sister Jeannie is in light blouse, and her brother Charles in the back.

Not sure which a.i program I turn my great grandmother, and her sibling into clown.

VanHornville... The surname Van Horne is Dutch, meaning "from Hoorn" — referring to the city of Hoorn in North Holland, Netherlands, one of the great Dutch trading cities of the Golden Age. Horn in Dutch refers to a horn-shaped peninsula or cape of land. So Van Hornesville literally means "the town of the man from Hoorn, Netherlands" — a tiny New York hamlet named after a Dutch city across the Atlantic.

Dowagiac Michingan...The name Dowagiac comes from the Potawatomi Indian word Ndowagayuk, meaning "foraging ground," reflective of the area's abundant supply of wild game, fruit, vegetables, grain, and medicinal herbs.

I'm hooking up with FRIDAY FACE

Murphy and I went at lunch at senior center, and we got three bags of groceries. It helps. Did one load of wash, and general cleaning. Worked on my essay about journals. And did some creative journaling. About the youngest Granddaughter birthday party back on the 9th of May.

Today Is Wednesday, May 20, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Not surprise, but dis-pointed how our local primary election. Went on May 19th. I won't go much into it. But a few small facts. Those I want to send to Boise, our state capital to represent me didn't make it.

State Senator result for dist one...Hendron got 56.8%, Woodward got 43.2%. Now for our representative who goes to Boise. Razor got 64.%, Lowman got 36%. And the other representative got J Sauter got 53.9%, M Sauter 46.1%. Plus those who goes to Washington D.C is follower of Trump. My county election to me went my way.

This morning I went and had my tire checked. Got some supplies. Gas still at $4.69 a gallon. And going to eye doctor in Sandpoint later on today.

Today, Is Monday May 11, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Decided to start with Sunday Five, and I know it is Monday. If you want to check out others please click here at PENGUIN

1: Where are you going this week?  I know I will be leaving town this Thursday to go to see the surgeon, who did my boob reduction. I will stop in Walmart and get a few items. I don't see spending over $10.

2: What will you do this week? I have a few things plan, not saying I will totally complete any of them. Here is three things I hope to take a stab at or complete...Mop, toaster, and yard.

3: Will you watch the sunrise one morning this week? I would say the odds are real good to see the sun come up.

4: What will bring you joy this week? Lot of things will bring me joy. My husband asthma getting under control.

5: Who will you tell that you love them this week? My family.

Today Is Sunday, May 10, 2026: This is What Happened.

I did go to my Granddaughter birthday party yesterday. But I first want to start with RIVER question. Why are there chains on your lawn? Can you rake the lawn before mowing?
I hope three weeks at a time isn't too much for you, the travel time can be tiring too, though I know you are younger than me. I know I couldn't do it, I can manage a few hours with the twins once a week and their mother is still there the whole time too!
It would be nice if your new neighbors can keep an eye on your house and get your mail.

The simple answer was at times I can be stupid. I know one should walk the yard to look for items that could cause damage to the lawn more. We had a chain that braced up a rock. And I don't recall the reason it was removed, and toss in yard. Not taken care of.

We have an riding lawn mower, and I ran over the chain and it was caught up in the deck, where the blades are at. We got the chain out.

Had a great time at Bree party, she got a lot of gifts. And she was one happy girl. Lot of kids there.

My son Sawyer came up from Medford Oregon. And both also my son Bart and his wife was there, with there 2 girls. So glad I had the chance to see my entire family in one spot.

Beef here is so expensive, and the senior center is serving Beef Stew, and with biscuit, and apple crisp. As I'm in town I need to drop of my water bill. Pick up some photos to give to Qunella, and make an appointment with someone to help me with a techie problem I'm having. Other people took photo on phone and send them to me. I like to put get them on google photos.

During last week, I was working on photo book for my sons and there family Christmas gift. I had fun playing around with this photo. The man in the background is Charles Stansell (1864–1938), the 3rd great-uncle of Bart and Sawyer.
The woman in the light-colored blouse is Jeannie Stansell (1861–1941), their 3rd great-aunt.
The woman in the dark blouse is Isadora “Dora” Stansell (1852–1923), their 2nd great-grandmother.

Estimated date: circa 1895–1905.

Wednesday, I need to go to the doctor who did my boob reduction Thursday. This should be my last appointment. My friend Qunella mention about going down to Sandpoint to get a few things. I wonder if she want to take a trip that day.

This last week I did a little art. Not sure if my friendly little monster, had his quotes. And the flowers, in my watercolor class.

Community is not a fix box-it's layered”

We are stitched together by spared space. But we also choose which space we stayed in”

Belonging is fluid identity is relational”

At times that the same person can appear in the same box”

I'm taking part in SUNDAY IN THE ART ROOM.

Today This Friday, May 8, 2026: This Is What Happened.

I plan to blog yesterday. But I was dragging though most of the day. I took the wrong set of medication. I took my evening pills in morning. I did mange to do my usually chores.

I had set bounds with my son when it comes to watching the kids. I told him, that I would be willing to come down for three weeks. And then I will go back home for two weeks. If needed Grandpa or I would come back for anther three weeks.

Actual I would like to figure how both Murphy and I could go down the same time. We worry about someone squatting in our home. The closes house is empty. Then the next closes place is a quarter mile away.

Going to my youngest Granddaughter Bree birthday tomorrow. Not sure if Murphy going or not. He been having issue with asthma. Personally I think he should go to the doctor, and get around of steroid or a shot. But majority of the time, one can only suggest. After the senior center I will come back and wrap up the birthday present. I will stop in at the thrift store , and find birthday card. Usually they're under .50¢. I find price of cards ridiculous. I need also stop at bank and get $20. For Grand children birthday we're donating $20 for them to get there book printed and or publish.

The other day I was mowing the lawn, and ran over a chain. And it got sucked up in the blade area. Last time Murphy mowed the lawn, he did the same thing. I even went and picked up the other chain, and for some reason, I didn't see the other one. Got one of the boxes that was full of bedding done, under the stairs. Monday I will move on to anther box.

Now for the good news. I notice someone is moving into the place next door. Notice a kid walking across the drive way. We don't leave all that much. But hopefully when we're gone they can watch our place, and pick up our mail.

Today Is Thursday, April 30, 2026: This Is what Happened.

I made the choice to take part in Thursday 13, which we list 13 items. I'm listing 13 things that start with the letter B. And my thoughts on each of them. Here is the link to other PLAYERS

  1. BLUETS-The other day I ran into a word. I didn't know what it meant. It flower that grow low to the ground.

  5. BIRTH-I gave birth twice. Generally speaking giving birth was fairly easy.

  6. BOUNDARY- Is the name of the county I live in. To the east it boarder with state of Montana, and that county is called Lincoln. To the south it boarders Bonner county, still in Idaho. To the west it boarders it Pend Oreille County, which is in Washington. Than our the Northern part goes into Canada.

Well today and once again. I end up randomly pick NICOLE. And her is her comment...

Idaho has always been republican and I venture it will stay that way. One of the reasons we left there 17 years ago.

I do recall a time Idaho, the Northern part wasn't all wack out, what I call White Christian Nationalist. It seems like when Reagan came in to office. Idaho got swept by becoming super conservative ideals. I don't know if I will be around to see any changes here in Idaho. I'm worried at this time about these three candidates. HENDRON , CORNEL RASOR , and JANE SAUTER

Today Is Friday, April 24, 2026: This Is What Happened

I wasn't at the pearly gates. Or Gate of Hell. I have no ideal why I haven't been blogging. But here I am.

Nothing big going on. Which I'm excited about. For me it the same oh thing. Just different day.

Went to the senior center and they served Chicken Marasala which was really good. Plus for desert we had Champagne Salad.

Yesterday I went to art up at Greta place, she lives east of me. I notice gas price is ten cent higher then in town. I figure by Monday our will be matching it.

Today Is Friday, March 27, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Our senior center feeds us quite well. So the day Murphy and I eat there. We have a lite or snack for our dinner meal.

I had a book printed. No, I'm not going to have it publish. Maybe some period I will. For this one. I'm consider it a practice run. Like a lot of things in our lives.(Night Cafe Picture)

We don't rake our leaves in the fall. But we're doing it now. Plus my crocus are blooming. Don't have much for flowers any more. Deers are so hard on gardens around here. Both vegetables and flowers. I might as well mention fruit trees and berries.

Last few days I been under the stairs. Not making great head way. But head way. (Night Cafe Picture)

I found on you tube, portrait artist of the year (au) - season 1 episode 4 I'm up to date on the United Kingdom both portrait and landscape competition. The trouble I have is I don't know my pop culture of Australia. (Night Cafe Picture)

Yesterday evening I was watch PBS news and they had story on SOCIAL MEDIA and teenagers. When I grew up some people had land line phone. I even remember pay phone. Not sure how many watch the video. It less then 8 minute long. I don't know if any time they teach about the dangers things out there. When I was young they told us that you don't get In car with a stranger. And such. I wonder if any school here in the United States teach about how to be safe on social media. Opinion time...Algorithm is a major issue, causing rift among people. Most of the things I see though social media or what I see I agree with. I'm sure it happening to others as well. Personally I think it to over feed our ego.

(Night Cafe Picture)

Just sign up for the THE LITERACY PROJECT OF NORTH IDAHO. I'm in the Sandpoint and surrounding area, including Bonners. The two county has population of 60, 382. Which covers all groups of people. At this point there only 58 people taking part in it. Some place of I believe facebook thought they should close all library here in Idaho. I do wonder if other states is do this.(Night Cafe Picture)

I wasn't going to link up to FACE OFF. But since Queen came up, and some smaller faces. I thought I would included mine.

Today Is Thursday, March 19 2026: This Is What Happened.

I'm sure this will be done in two parts. Yesterday I went over to Jacksonville and went my little favor coffee place. My son doesn't have internet. He says it's over 100 month where he is at. I pay not quite $65 a month. Sawyer is an head aviation mechanic and plus he can inspect. I shouldn't say much. I'm thrifty as well.

I been reading. But I really don't want to get any more books. So I will pull something off my son book shop. At this point I think I will start with this one, “LDS Preparedness manual” 2011 edition. I have no ideal where he got this book. The only book I know for non-members is “Book of Mormons” Haven't seen one.

Doing home care I took care of couple “Jack Mormons” Crazy as Jay Bird. But they weren't nasty piece of shit.

I been to couple of art exhibit one here in Medford. Plus I went art and friends. The theme was St Patty day. Plus I toured the gallery.

When I was in Ashland I stop at the Schindler gallery The theme was in “Pursuit of Happiness” Enjoy both gallery.

Oh, The gallery in Medford. The lady volunteer was from Port Hill, which is north of Bonners Ferry. Port hill is the crossing between United States and Canada.

I went to the Unitarian Universalist service, in Ashland. The theme was “Letting go” and or Letting be”

Been to two of senior center in the area. Let just say I wasn't impress with the one in Jacksonville. Soon as I ate and brief talk to the volunteer I went over to my coffee shop. Good thing it was right next door. The one in Ashland is pretty active. On Tuesday they have discussion group. And after lunch they play cribbage.

Now the head lines of Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Went to the senior center, and took part in the discussion group they have there. No set topic. I don't recall what we all talked about. Some of this and that. Stayed for lunch, and want to head back. We had corn beef and cabbage, corn, green beans, and slice of bread. Plus a piece green cake. They toss in green dye in white cake. I left right after lunch, so I could get back to home base. The dog would think I would be gone way to long.

Here in Oregon, and I guess other place they OLLI which stands for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. It for people over 55 years old. There is annual fee, I believe is $125. And you can take as many as class as you like. Here is five they offer here in Medford area. The Comedy Classic of W.C Fields, Killing For Coal: The Ludlow Massacre, Historic and Artistic Coins of the Ancient Greeks, Home Maintenance and Repair, and The Poetry of Resistance, Rebellion and Revolution. I mark the classes I would be interest taking. If all works out, I'm leaving Friday I believe is about 11:30. But my son in Manila had some type of change in his flight. Plus I been hearing there been cancel and taking out flights.

Now it the 18th. As I type this Sawyer is flying over Pacific ocean. His text say he isn't looking forward sitting on plane for 12 hours.

I told Daisy, that I would stay home today. I had plan to mow the lawn, but couldn't get the handle in correct position.

Now it the 19th, I'm here in my little fav, coffee shop. Good Beans over in Jacksonville. Lot of chattering going on. My son is in Seattle, and will be back home a little before one. I'll pick him up. I just got more data. I'm flying out tomorrow. Staying at friend in Spokane. Murphy will pick me the next morning. Next time I blog I will be back in Idaho.

Hope you enjoy some random photos.

Today Is Sunday, February 1 2026: This Is What Happened.

January, Noticed: A Month in Small Measures

This January I experimented with tracking—not everything, just enough to see patterns. The goal wasn’t improvement. It was attention.

Weather came first.
I took temperatures four times a day, most days. Mornings were the coldest, dipping as low as the mid-teens, while afternoons occasionally surprised me by brushing forty degrees. Evenings cooled quickly again. What stood out wasn’t the extremes, but the rhythm: winter has a pulse, and it repeats whether I’m watching or not.

Health was uneven, but honest.
I logged exercise on some days, water on fewer, digestion support on more. Pain showed up too—my hip more than my shoulder—and that mattered. The data didn’t shame me; it explained me. It reminded me that health is shaped as much by limits as by intentions.

Hobbies carried more weight than I expected.
I read often, wrote regularly, and picked up my camera enough times to know creativity wasn’t absent—it was active. Some hobbies rested entirely this month. That didn’t feel like failure. It felt seasonal.

Money told a clear story.
Most of my income went to essentials: food, utilities, healthcare. Very little went to extras. Seeing it laid out didn’t spark anxiety—it brought clarity. My spending reflects necessity, not neglect.

And finally, self-credit.
Out of thirty-one days, I only formally marked things down ten times. Still, I showed up every day. Tracking isn’t proof of effort; living is.

January didn’t ask me to optimize. It asked me to notice.
So I did.

Chat gpt help me write this.

Today Is Saturday, January 31, 2026: This Is What Happened

Thought I would start with a few meals we will be having in February. On the second we're having Shepard's pie, Texas Toast, and baked apples. Than on the sixth we're having, tomato soup, Ham and Cheese Zombies, green salad, and peaches. On the 17th we will be having Capriese Smash Burger, French Fries, Mixed Veggies, Bread and pears. 27, they will be serving Pizza, salad, and fresh fruit.

I went over to chat gpt and asked them the cost of these meals. I asked to figure the cost of two people.

Chat told me it cost to make per person is between $9 and $10 at home. If ate in a cafe it would cost $16 to $18. I know our senior center cooks for a larger crowd.

I'm afraid what's going on in my country. Hopefully our mid-terms will put my country in a better direction. I feel it not going to happen once the election is over. I guess it depends on which way it goes.

This morning I watch on you tube, a short video on student writing letter to ICE AGENCY. I found it quite sad, and it even brought tears to my eyes. I can't imagine the horror these people are going though. It reminds me of the third Reich and how the so called Brown shirts and the S.S would remove who they felt was undesirable. Currently I consider Ice now the fourth Reich. Last Thursday we made up cards to send to the people of Minneapolis. I believe Ice will move on to cause more terror, mainly in blue states. And who Trump has personal grudge against.

The other day Murphy and I went into the thrift store. Both us got jeans, which each was slightly under $5 and I got wallet, that was under $3 Today we went to a sale at the grocery store, and got few things on sale, and non sale items. Here is two thing we got Cream of Wheat for $5.98 and pound of ground sausage for $2.98. And got 2 package of sausage. Just finishing up January bullet journal, and will share the stats with everyone tomorrow.

Yesterday, I made up my first photo book. Using CHATBOOK. They said one can usually do photo book in 10 minutes. It took me longer. Everything is on learning curve. When I do my February book up. They will be a few things I like to do different.

I let night cafe do up a few picture by coping and paste in prompt.

4. Green...I used the color of green in my art journal today. Not sure if you can see it. Or not.

5. Gravy...It been a while since I had homemade gravy. But our cook at our senior center make home made gravy.

6. Garlic...We use a lot garlic around here.

7. Georgia ...Not sure when I will read this book, BOOK. Or If I will. But the author is from Georgia.

8. Germany...I have 18 books list that has connect with GERMANY

9. Greece....I have 5 books list that has connect with GREECE

Today Is Tuesday, January 30, 2025: This Is What Happened.

Do I crawl in a corner and cry.

Do I stand in middle of the store, and laugh uncontrollable.

Do I locate a brick wall, and start banging my head against it.

I decided to go and take a photo with my Kodak camera. None of the photos will go on to my lap top. While back I also plug in this camera. And today for some reason none of my photos. I can get photos off my SD card. My Lumix camera I have no issue. After the first of the year I will have one of the people work at library help me.

I never know what to get my sons and there wives for Christmas. This year I got them a role of duct-tape. And their wives some hand lotions. I seen those photo book. I been quite impress with them. So I found monthly subscription one, called MONTH BOOKS. I have always want to take photo each and every day. I thought this would be good way to meet my goal.

Murphy and I went to senior center for lunch, and they had chicken Parmesan. But we stop at grocery out let, and they had slippers on sale. Before I bought them. I ask if I could return them. They said I could if I had the receipt. Fair enough. After we went and look around in the community thrift store. Got nothing. The main reason, between now and the 5th of January my bills should arrive.

Look like only one package need to be send back to Amazon. They didn't send the correct amount. I never yet had any issue about returns with amazon. My complaint is I have to go into Sandpoint to do it. A little more than 20 miles. There places will handle shipping, but one needs to print out there own shipping label. I'm clueless how to do it. And I don't buy much and hardly send thing back.

I figure why not. I copied and paste my blog post into NIGHT CAFE.

Coffee is on.

Today Is Thursday, June 10, 2026: This Is What Happened.

I decided to take part in Wordless Wednesday, My granddaughter Maud and Bree was up for a visit. And we built a big bird nest. It look ...
