Today Is Wednesday. September 3, 2025: This Is What Happened.

As my husband was having his last catract removed. I went for short walk, and took a photo in Sandpoint. I decided to take part in WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Paid on our medical bills, which 2 of them our from our hospital. One for Murphy and the other is mine. Plus Murphy had one from the hospital in Coeur d' alene. I got them three fourth paid off. There a small one from the hospital in Sandpoint on an X-ray. That one will be paid off in full. Plus paid my house insurance or anthor year.

As hubby was in surgrey I was reading my book, The Diary Keeper. It a book of people who kept diaries in Netherland during WW II. The people of Netherland was encourage to keep a diaries. Not sure if other people from other countries did or not. Two things I found interesting in this book that it comes from not nessuary the Jewish population. Sure there was Jews who kept a diaries. These diaries had to be kept in hiding from the Nazi and it so called partnership of other organization lean that way. At this point no diaries was found. The other thing I read and learn, non jews wore the yellow star in protest of how the Jews was being treated. I now wonder how many protesting non-jews was hauled off to a work camp or to an concentration camp.

It been plenty hot here, and I just learn about URBAN SKETCHER. So far I don't see any in my area. But I notice there is some in Spokane Washington.

Today Is Thursday, August 21, 2025: This Is What Happened

One thing I'm doing for this post is sharing some photos. I plug in my camera and took off some pictures.

Murphy had his surgery yesterday, and all went fine. Had a check up today, and that was also good.

With running Murphy around things got a little out of hand. It has been more crazy here. Got things caught up. The neighbor was having a sale. So I got recliner for $60. Looks brand new and it clean. I also got some queen sheets for $10.00

I been playing around with a little family history. The surname of McCalmant, for some reason the name Robert comes up. Mostly Robert went by Rob or Bob. I don't think they use that name much these days. Their a Robert the 3rd would be my 3rd great grandfather he came over from Ireland, a place called Delaware. He served in our American Revolutionary war. And got paid by a land warrant. The United States government gave him land.

Looks like before they came to the United States they lived Northern Ireland and Argyllshire Scottland.

Off to the senior center and here is photo of Robert McCalmant the 4th. And his wife Catherine Pealer. They look like they lived such hard life. He lived to 84 years old.

Today Is Monday, August 4, 2025: This Is What Happened

Yesterday, the 3rd of August. Murphy and I went for a drive up on Burton. It a mountain on the Selkirk range. West of us. The road was sure rough. A little sore from all the bumps. I had plan to take my sketch book. Like the majority of the time. I forget something. This time it was a pencil. I looked though the pick up to find one. No luck. So I thought I would share some photos on the adventure of Burton. I have wonder about things left over in a bond or campfire. Why would someone in middle of mountain put in a muffler to burn.

We're waiting for package to be drop off. Sawyer pick up broke down here last time he was up from Oregon. Well it's the transfer case. He planning to come back up in middle of this month. I will be glad to see him, as always.

Let see what are three things I did this morning. Took a shower, exercised, and took a shower. Now for three things I might do. Well in all odds I will do them. Take out kitchen garbage, read, and do some prep work before I mow the lawn tomorrow.

As for non chores. Like family history, creativity, and etc. I don't have routine and I don't do them on daily thing. I now don't blog daily. Yesterday I was on Chat Gpt, and wrote something and ask which Dark Shadow characters does this writing matches up with. Well I had two. But the one I like to share is QUENTIN COLLINS and Angelique Bouchard.

Writing Prompt: The Ghost in the Mirror – A Conversation with Quentin Collins

Prompt:
Your character walks through a strange house and finds someone waiting in a forgotten room — not quite alive, not quite dead. He introduces himself as
Quentin Collins. He says he knows what it’s like to be haunted by your own past more than any curse.
Write the scene that follows.
What does your character confess?
What advice does Quentin offer them that no one else ever has?

Blurb for Your Blog (To Introduce or Link the Prompt)

Lately, I’ve been journaling through characters and archetypes — blending tarot, memory, and literary figures to better understand myself. One entry led me to imagine a quiet, powerful meeting between Dora (a version of myself) and Quentin Collins from Dark Shadows.
This prompt came out of that moment — a space for anyone else who feels like they’ve been “paying” for mistakes long past. Maybe you’ll meet Quentin too.

I really didn't know how to face the person in the mirror, and we all have our Quentin that just won't let us go. Maybe there some reason Quentin hangs around. Everyone that count for anything had forgave us. Those who refuse has pass and lives in spirit world. Those who walks among us who refuse to let go. Might have there reason. In my world I want to know why they can't let go or refuse to. Is it a form of control? Control the free will. So my question is why we are poses by our past. And who is blame for it. Let look at the birth of Jesus for a minute. Could they made up the story of him being born to an Virgin. Let look at this bible verse for second. Deuteronomy 23:2 (KJV)
"A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.", Wisdom of Solomon 3:16 (NRSVCE)
But children of adulterers will not come to maturity, and the offspring of an unlawful union will perish.”
And Wisdom of Solomon 4:3–6 (NRSVCE)
But the prolific brood of the ungodly will be of no use, and none of their illegitimate seedlings will strike a deep root or take firm hold.
If the story of being born to a virgin what would've actually happen if people knew the truth. It strong possible one of my great grandfather was born a bastard. For 4 generation we been told a cover up story. He took his old maid aunt name.

If we don't understand past history we will repeat it. And refuse to look at it from all views. We're doom to repeat and it will like an leg iron with heavy weight we drag. But I honestly think we do have the key to our own free will. But where do we store our belongings. That we can meet them on our own terms. I have a storage area to place my possessions, a make believe safety deposit box. Even my possessions is place in my art journal. Not all possession one can hold in there hand.  I should open these on my term. But I don't.

Today Is Sunday, May 25, 2025: This Is What Happened.

Just finished the book, A MATTER OF CLASS, by MARY BALOGH. Last two books was under the genre of RENGENCY ROMANCE. But there also other genre that is connect to REGENCY. The last two of the books I enjoyed. And would consider looking into other books by Georgette Heyer and Mary Balogh. I don't see myself putting to much effect in finding these author books. I will get them out of my local library. I know our library has quite a few Georgette Heyer books. Not sure what the stats is on Mary Balogh.

I just start to read FRIDA KAHLO THE BRUSH OF ANGUISH. Our library has given me a few Frida Kahlo book. I can only guess why. She has be come quite the icon. Some time I would like to read a book on her husband Diego Rivera. That catches his inter being his make up. What made him tick.

Both hubby and I plan to go up into the mountains. We both slept in this morning. And got a slow start to the day. We got slow start. But the good thing is we got a few smaller project caught up or decent stab at some others things. Quiet pleased, and no reason why we can't take drive up in the mountains.

Last Friday evening I went to a new moon ritual down by the river. There was only three of us. We as pagan need to be careful and use common sense. Just like the LGBTQ+. In lot of ways the far right here is more scared. They think the gay community can groom or convert. The the pagan don't go out and proselytism. I find it just plain ass rude to go around and shove one's belief downs one mouth.

Today Is WORLD TAROT DAY.

Saturday morning I went to art insight, and we all did ugly birds.

As far as ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE it here. Now what we do with it is up to each of us. Like anything else we need and should set bounds on it. Like anything else in our life. It has an off and on switch of some type Just like my camera, lap top, phone, vacuum, dishwasher, television, coffee pot and or etc.

Today Is Wednesday. May 21, 2025: This Is What Happened.

I decided to play WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
I like sardines. When I was young, every so often we’d have sardines and cheese—sandwiched between two saltine crackers. The other day, I got some in olive oil and really liked them.

Let’s see what I’ve been doing. I’ve been out mowing the lawn, but the mower ran out of gas, so I’m waiting until I can finish.
I’ve also done other household chores around the place.

On Monday, I went to the library and looked into getting Windows 11 installed. My current system won’t take it. I don’t quite understand why—and honestly, I don’t have much desire to figure it out. So I’ve started looking around for another laptop.
Windows 10 support will end on October 14, 2025, which means updates and services will stop. This laptop is running fine for now, so I’m thinking of seriously shopping for a new one sometime between July and September.
One of the main reasons I went to the library was to see why my laptop isn’t reading a thumb drive I have.

In the world of creativity, I went to my first live drawing session last Sunday. I didn’t quite finish the page I was working on. I also worked on some collage papers. I learned that photo paper doesn’t work well on Gel Plates—it sticks too much, tears, and leaves indentations. I didn’t know that at first, but later found out you're not supposed to use photo paper on Gel Plates. Still, it gave the plate a bit of its own personality, in a way.

Today Is Thursday, April 17, 2025: This Is What Happened.

Best laid plan always doesn't come to life, or even take a breath. Had plan to post an blog two days in row and two days off. Let see if I get something posted.

Yesterday Murphy and I drove to Courd'Alene to an nose ear, and throat doctor. Well they stuck an rubber hose up his nose. Don't worry it wasn't a lawn hose. And looked around, and found a small sis. Which they hasn't to worry about it. But they would like him to get x-ray. The type of x-ray he can do in Sandpoint. Our local hospital doesn't have the x-ray machine to do such a picture.

We stop over visited Murphy sister faith.

As we were gone, quite a wind storm came through and knock down some large tree in the draw. So today the neighbor kids and us load up bunch of tree branches.

I recently found sky art. I been watch it though you tube. It art show competition. At this time I'm not sure if I can watch off one these CHANNEL. List in Wikipedia. But I did just discovered this over in on google, GOOGLE.

Today Is Sunday, April 6, 2025: This Is What Happened.

It been a while since I posted a photo. Still having issue with my thumb drives. This week I'm planning to stop by our local library to my an appointment to see why my thumb drives isn't doing there things. I made some MOLASSES COOKIES. Let just say it been a while since I baked cookies.

The two main goals this week. Is take Murphy to the eye surgeon. His appointment is at ten in morning, down in Sandpoint. A little over half hour drive. Around 30 miles. We should know when he will be having his cataract removed. The other thing is get things ready to take in the paper work for property tax reduction.

Sure there other things I have on my to do list. But those are the main ones that needs to be taken care of.

Paid the electric, water bill, and WiFi. The WiFi is paid quarterly.

Today is Saturday, March 1, 2025: This Is What Happened.

Neither I or my husband spend any money yesterday. We took part in economic blackout. Trying to find out the status on it.

Slowly getting photos of my laptop, onto a thumb drive.

Took a short walk today.

Stop at the thrift store. Spend seventeen cents. And let them keep the change. This thrift store helps animals.

Went to art insight journaling. At LORE

Start to set up the month of April in my bullet journal.

Today Is Wednesday, January 22, 2024: This Is What Happened.

This morning, I meant Qunella at Under the Sun. Their plain black coffee is under $2.00 a cup, and you can get all the refills you want or need. They also carry a great lunch menu. I'm hooking up with

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

I arrive at Under The Sun before Qunella. I went up to the loft and had my coffee. Practice drawing one of their couch. After coffee, I walked over to the post office. To buy an international stamp. They were out of them. The postal clerk wasn't sure when they would be getting some. (The libra is inflamed and the pyramids – 1921 – Style Dada – Genre abstract – Location Unknown)

Stop at the store. Eggs are still expensive. Once Trump was in office, eggs and gas would be super cheap. Dozen eggs are just under $6. And gas, in the last week or so, has gone up .20¢. Regular gas is running $2.75 to $3.00 a gallon. (Five O'Clock Tea – 1917 – Style Futurism – Genre Abstract – Location Unknown)

Today's art movement is FUTURISM. I will be only sharing two works by JULIUS EVOLA.

Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Today Is Wednesday, January 15, 2025. This is what Happened.

I usually don't start my blog post this time of the day. I thought I would get a start on it. Considering I'm having bite eat with Qunella at super one deli. They have good soup. Super reasonable priced. Afterward I'm going to my watercolor class. (The Annunciation – 1849/1850 – Located at the tate)

I thought yesterday was Wednesday. But today is. My shoes and sock was the last thing I put on today. I'm connecting with WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Made to lunch at small bowl of Lobster bisque. It was $2 something. I need $3 for the donation can. It is for my watercolor class. (Dante version of Rachel and Leah – 1855 – Located at the Tate)

Today art movement is AESTHETICISM, which I never heard of. But I have heard the term “Art for art's sake” I will be sharing the work of DANTE GABRIEL ROSSETI. At first I didn't recognized his name put I did recognized these art piece. (Proserpine – 1874 – Located at the TATE.)

Today Is Wednesday, January 8, 2024: This Is What Happened.

For the last couple of days, I've been trying to get a post up, but there have been roadblocks all over the place, although nothing bad.

There are 357 days left in 2025. As of today, my camera and computer are on friendly terms. So far, I've taken three photos. Yesterday, I drove down and picked up Liz at the Spokane airport.

So, I will mention taking a photo a day. I won't be sharing them all here on my blog. Occasionally, I will post a picture of the day on my blog. I will try to post them daily on my INSTAGRAM account.

The other day, the coffee pot went out. Right now, I'm using an old camp coffee pot. I ordered a new one, though, at Wall Mart. For the other photo, I just held my camera above my head and snapped a picture.

On the tired side. So, there is no art movement.

Coffee is on.

Today Is Saturday, January, 4, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Today Is Saturday, January, 4, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9
questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love to answer the questions, however, and here is today's questions!

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it HERE.

  1. We're beginning the year with a song about new beginnings. What is something new you'd like to try in 2025? I'm usually up for an adventure. Go up hot air balloon.

  2.  The lyrics recall what was said "in the mist of the midnight hour." Where were you when the new year dawned? Asleep. I'm dull. But usual dull keeps one out trouble. Right?

  3.  The Axwell of Axwell and Ingrosso is Axel Hedfors. He began as a drummer and moved on to experimenting musically on the computer, eventually mastering music sequencer software. Do you consider yourself more a technophile like Axwell, who loves technology and digital devices, or more a technophobe, anxious about learning new programs? I like to try some photo editing. Or all the do-hickies on my camera.

( In the park-date unknown)

    4) His musical partner is Sebastian Ingrosso. Sebastian became interested in dance music when he accompanied his father, a choreographer, to the studio. When you were young, did you ever go to work with either of your parents? My father worked on fright trains. I went to the yard and he took me on tour. I even went in one diesel engine. And blew the horn. My mother ran a raspberry and strawberry patch. I picked berries. People ask me if I'm good and fast picker. Well the truth is I'm not.

    5) Axwell & Ingrosso gave their premiere performance at the 2014 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City and their last concert at the 2017 Ultra Music Fest in Miami. Looking back on 2024, did you attend any outdoor music or theater performances? I went to my first drag show. Does that account. Also I went a local play.

    6) In 2017, when "Something New" was released, we lost the TV star who could "turn the world on with her smile." Without looking it up, do you know who that is? No

(Portrait of the artist life - 1915)
  1. Also in 2017, Today Show anchor Hoda Kotb announced she had adopted her first child. Do you know anyone who is adding to their family in 2025? I don't know

  2. Have you made any New Year's resolutions for 2025? Not really. But I try to be the best person I can. Hopefully it helps make the world a better place.

  1.  9) What was the first thing to make you laugh in 2025? I was laughing watch some ole TV show, couple night go. But I don't recall the show.

Yes, I never heard of this song before or the artist. You can add your LINK HERE

I haven't tried uploading photos from my camera for a while, and I haven't even taken any. It seems around the end of the year or the first part of the year for some reason. The camera and computer aren't on friendly terms.

(Nude combing her hair-1903)

A couple of packages arrived, some hard candy and powder eggs. There are still some books I ordered for Christmas gifts for those down in Oregon. Now it says it will be there on the 8th, a day earlier. I am not ordering anything in February.

I will be ordering in March. I know I will have to order Art Journal for my Granddaughters Claudia and Bree. I will also give each one a little more, plus their siblings.

We went to art down at the local tea shop and had some ginger-flavored tea. We wrote a letter to the year 2024 and did a page opening to 2025.

Today's art movement is Neo-Impressionism. I watched a few videos on this subject. I like most impressionist work. Today, I will be sharing the works of HIPPOLYTE PETITJEAN, whom I had never even heard of. He didn't do that many works, So I'm leaving a link for those who want to look at his works. The painting I'm sharing's location is unknown.

Coffee is on.

Monday, December 30, 2024

Today Is Monday, December 30, 2024, This Is What Happened.

I still can't get my photos off my camera. I'm not sure what's going on, so I will set up an appointment with a techie at our local library.

This is not much of a post. I went to the store and bought some marked-down crab. It had a $5 off coupon on it, but I ended up paying $5.24. What a treat!

(Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe-1923-place unknown)

Today, I went through a few boxes. Some went to the trash can, and some went into the box that contained things that needed to go to the thrift store. I managed to get the rest into one box. I need to go through the box again. Some of the items are my sons.

(The Year's at the Spring-1920-Place Unknown)

Today's art movement is ART AND CRAFT. Well, here is a link to the difference between arts and crafts. But I would guess some creativity would fall into both categories.

Today's artist is Harry Clarke, and I noticed some of his works are in groups with the same name. I'm leaving a link to his work.

(Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen-1916-Place Unknown)

Today Is Friday, December 20, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I had planned to do my blog post before this. It is almost 6 pm here in the Pacific time zone. The news is on. The other day, Murphy called my attention to the sunlight shining on Roman Nose. Part of the Selkirk Mountain range. The other photo is the Purcell Mountain range. This morning, I opened the slider and took the photo. I like the haze. I'm hooking up the SKY WATCH FRIDAY.

I've been going through things. I put the rings together, and my jewelry is in a box. I've also got a few more things straightened up, like hanging a painting, putting some stuff in my pagan box, and hanging some mix-and-match curtains in the smaller bedroom.

Yesterday, the 19th, I went over to Regis. He was someone I took care of. He and I hit the two local thrift stores. Here are a few things I got. I also took in some items and donated them. Plus, today, I got a few bags of items that I took in before Murphy and I went and had lunch at the senior center. They also had a Christmas gift exchange. I got a cribbage board. I know how to play crib, but Murphy doesn't.

It will be a couple or maybe slightly longer since I took part in FRIDAY FACE OFF. I will be getting my faces off WIKI ART. The faces I chose are from ALGERIA and MOROCC.O. The top face is by HOURIA, NIATI. And the bottom face is done by CHAIBIA TALAL

Coffee is on.

Today Is Saturday, September 6, 2025: This Is What Happen.

Don't recall last time I shared any sort of stats, so I thought of sharing 9 stats from last month. I try to get the weather ...
