Today Is Saturday, May 11, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I got up later than usual—seventy-thirty this morning. I had my morning coffee and watched a little bit of the news. Murphy got an hour later than me. Around the time hubby was getting up, I went for my walk. My month of May distance is seven power line poles. It takes me between twenty and thirty minutes to get there and back.

The trees are just looking great.

Did up the dishes.

I went to town. My first stop was the thrift store to drop off a few items. I did pick up one item: a leaf punch. It cost me seventy-five cents.

I went to the local art gallery and traded in my artist trading cards. These are the ones I ended up with.

I took back the book I had finished, The Bobbsey Twins, and picked up my other book, Killer of the Flower Moon. It is a completely different type of read.

Stop and visit Liz. She got way too much food for a single person, but she gave me some of it. I'm Thankful for it.

Tonight's dinner was pork chops, potatoes with mushroom gravy, and broccoli. Liz gave me the mushroom soup, so I made it into gravy, and I had fresh broccoli.

Coffee is on.

Today Is Saturday, September 9, 2023: This Is What Happened.

It has been a while since I took part in Saturday Nine. Today's theme comes from CHEESE BURGER IN PARADISE. Unfamiliar with this week's tune? HERE IT IS.

1) In this song, Jimmy Buffett briefly attempts a healthier diet, which includes sunflower seeds, carrot juice, zucchini, and Bulgar wheat. Do you pay attention to your daily consumption of vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, etc.? As I get older, I do watch I eat more. I keep track of the foods I read. As well as my exercise. Using MY F.AT SECRET. I like to keep my calorie count around 2,200; that way, I lose between half to a pound a week. Really not getting hungry.

2) Jimmy sings that he'd like french fries with his burger. Do you prefer to dip your fries or drizzle the ketchup over them? I'm a dipper. Actually, I will ask for a side of Roquefort dressing.

3) Which cheese would make yours a cheeseburger in paradise: American, cheddar, Swiss, bleu, Muenster, or Monterrey Jack? No one can have too much on hamburgers. As for which cheese. I can't decide. I prefer a sharper cheese. I've never tried blue on a burger. But one thing I do like on my burger is mushrooms.

4) Buffett fans call themselves Parrot heads. Concert attire for a well-dressed Parrot-head often includes a Hawaiian shirt and a foam fin hat. What will you be wearing tonight? What I am wearing is black jean shorts and a flower pullover top. I thought this might be an excellent place to put a link, PARROT AS AN SPIRIT ANIMAL

5) Jimmy is very busy for someone with such an easygoing and laid-back vibe. His business ventures include liquors, restaurants, and hotels. He's also published eight books. All this in addition to making music! How would you rate yourself this morning on a scale of 1 to 10 -- with 1 being lazy and 10 being highly motivated? 3.7. I have been pretty sore the last couple of days. Will explain later in my post.

6) Jimmy has some very famous fans. Paul McCartney asked him to play at one of his parties, and Barack Obama invited him to perform at a fundraiser. If you could invite anyone -- anyone at all! -- to play at your party, who would you ask? Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks.

7) Jimmy was born on Christmas Day. Does your birthday fall on a major holiday? If yes, do you mind "sharing" your special day? My birthday is the same day as Abraham Lincoln. My middle name comes from one of my maternal great-grandmothers, Ann. And she was born Lincoln last birthday. He was shot the following April.

8} In 1978, the year this song was popular, the Susan B. Anthony Dollar was first minted. The initial design was not a hit with the public because vending machines could not accept it. What's the last thing you bought from a vending machine? I haven't used a vending machine this year. I hardly use them.

9) Random question -- If today's your birthday, your zodiac sign is Virgo. When did you last check your horoscope? Since I have seen this question. I thought I would take a quick look and see what it says for AQUARIUS

Now, I want to extend my answer on number 5. If there is a slight chance that someone is going to be frustrated. My anxiety kicked into high gear. As some of you already know, we are painting the house with primer. My muscles got really tense and froze. Muscles wouldn't relax. So I drove to Cour d Alene to see my ear, nose, and throat doctor. Came straight back home. I drove it pretty well without a break. I stopped in Sandpoint and had Reuben Sandwich at Arbys. With Fries and a special sauce to dip it in. I'm curious if having tight muscles can cause damage to the joints. If I sit too long and be in the same position for any time, I seize up. Well, about every two hours, I walk around the house. It helps.

During Gunsmoke, I work on my embroidery project. I decided to get back on the quilt I started a while back. I cut a few sashing strips for the quilt. I wonder why they called it sashing. It would be easier to call it framing. As one can see, I press some fabrics.

I have been reading the letters of JOHN ADAMS, and he talks about growing flax, hemp, and Hyssop. I knew flax and hemp could be made into fabrics. But I didn't realize that Hyssop could be made into cloth. The little I read on Hyssop is made of material. It is a sturdy fabric.

Today Is Monday, July 31, 2023: This Is What Happened.

Been doing this and that. I was finely getting things done. Murphy and I got some yard and garden work done. And I highlighted vacuumed, which means I didn't move anything—plus I swept the kitchen and dining area.

Still trying to figure out what going on. But Regis doesn't have a caregiver. Not sure what going on. See. Regis tells everyone a different story. As I understand, he hasn't got his psych pills, and his other support people suggested he talk to his neighbor in the apartment, and they can take him over to pick them up.

It is not good; Regis is not good to go without his psych bills, no less than 72 hours. Someone or he could have dire consequences because he is not on his psych medication. I will get ahold of his social worker and or his therapist to see if he got them. If not, I will pick them up tomorrow (Tuesday, August 1, 2023)

I'm planning to eat lunch at the senior center. If I weren't, I wouldn't go and pick them up.

One of the neighbors informed me not long ago that he walked out in the nude.

Besides some of his things, he could take Medicaid transport or the local spot bus. Well, the odds are 1 to 12, 046 that I will go back. Our county population is about 12,380 people.

I start to read Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe. And I Thursday (August 3, 2023), I will pick up the book "A Separate Peace" library in Sandpoint. And some DVDs. Quinella and I are going down there that day.

Coffee is on, and stay safe.

Today Is Thursday, July 27, 2023: This Is What Happened

I got the ball rolling for my social security. I set up an appointment for my interview with social security in mid-September. I have a lease of two regular paychecks coming. Possible a third one. The third one will be less than $75.

After the amount of social security is determined, we can apply for other programs to help us along. But it takes one to three months to receive their first retirement check. We're ahead on all of our monthly bills.

Today Murphy and I loaded up some ole fence posts and hauled them up to the land field. Or some would say "The Dump."

I did this and that, like embroidery, reading, and working on mosaic pieces. I need to catch up with my bullet journal.

Coffee is on, and stay safe.

Today Is Friday. July 21, 2023: This Is What Happened.

Enough heat outside. This morning hubby and I dug up a couple of fence posts. That was around the garden.

The fence was falling down, and the post needed replacing.

Personal in my thoughts, our garden needed to decrease in size. There is nothing better than fresh veggies out of the garden.

Gardening on a smaller scale would be much better.

I have been working on some creative things, like embroidery. The hardest thing for me is separating the floss. Then I have been working on my art journal; one of the things I have been working on is flowers, coreopsis. Or called tick-seed, which I had never heard of tick-seed. I'm not sure if I want to add leaves or any type of greens. Or how I want to do it. Or the technique to do them.

I'm taking part in FRIDAY FACE OFF and 3291. One day, my anxiety was almost full throttle. Two terms my mother's side described anxiety as "Being On Pins and Needles" or "High Strung" Anxiety tends to run on her mother 'Olive" side. All of the grandkids were warned not to be wild around about Grandma's nerves.

Also taking part in SKYWATCH The first cutting of hay is done.

Coffee is on, and stay safe.

Monday July 17, 2023: This Is What Happened:

In about 45 minutes, about 11:15, our power will be cut out for about 2 hours. So in about 15 minutes, I'm going shut things down. Right now, it is 10:45 in the morning.

I'm back typing my blog post, and our time is 6 PM.

Yesterday we went to Spokane and saw my chicks and their families. Plus, all four grandchildren.

I have been trying to get a family photo for some time. I like to get one every five years. I will start bothering them until January of 2027. And hope someone we all get together before 2030.

We went to an aquarium in Northtown Mall in Spokane. I saw the one in Seattle and San Francisco. The girls enjoy talking to the mermaid. Plus, they had a few other animals, birds, and reptiles.

It sure has been hot here. Usually, the lead stories are about weather or climate. For the last 24 hours, it has been windy. And it is super dry, which isn't good. It could be hard on firefighters who are out fighting wildfires. At this point, there are no wildfires in my area.

Before I went to work, Murphy and I put a fence around a maple clump of trees. So the deer won't eat them. There is plenty to eat for the animals.

This week sometime, I will post a family photo.

Coffee is on, and stay safe.

Today Is Saturday, July 15, 2023: This Is What Happened.

We now have smoke in our area, although not heavy. Plus heat.

Since retirement is on the horizon, it means I have more time to blog. But I have other things I want and need to do.

Question time...When it comes to posting blogs, replying, and visiting them. Please tell me how you handle this.

I post my daily happenings or if a something I want to talk about. Sometimes if I have time, I reply to comments. And I am visiting blogs. On my days off, I usually visit all my regulars. And then I usually stop by somewhere around 10.

I picked a few raspberries. Walk around the house a few times and worked on the quilt block that I had been embroidery. Toss some wet clothes in the dryer and put them away.

The DVDs I watched today were THE PEOPLE SPEAK

Today Is Tuesday, June 27, 2023: This Is What Happened.

Since Sunday, my mind has been recovering. I did manage to get a walk in the morning. But I need to take a walk in a different area. The change-up will do me good.

I visit with my therapist. And talk to my brain being in a fog for the entire week. The reason is that I went too long with the E.D.M.R.

Not sure what event from my past shut my thought process down. I know one brain doesn't shut down. The correct term is dissociative. Marijuana will put my brain in a dissociative state, as did the abuse I had in my younger years. Plain and simple, I didn't like when I was younger, and I don't like it now.

We also talked about conniving. I think I talk enough therapy.

I'm happy I lost a little weight. If I keep my calorie count between 1800 and 2200. I lose weight, and I don't get grouchy.

I hear thunder rumbling, and it sounds like it is coming this way.

The garden fence is coming down a lot easier.

WASHINGTON STATE is where today's musician/band comes from. Never heard of the band POSTAL SERVICE. Here is one of their song, CLARK GABLE, and here is the LYRICS.

Today Is Sunday, June 25, 2023: This Is What Happened.

It would be a good idea if I posted earlier than later.

Murphy and I got the fence down around the garden. I don't know what condition all the post is in. A more extensive garden isn't for us. But I do like fresh veggies and such. And so does hubby.

My mind is feeling better, not up to par. I am walking about with brain fog. Well, it gives me a panic attack. Not as bad as it did in the past.
Having my mind completely quiet is freaky to me.

I have been working on my art journal. And I need to work on my bullet journal a little later. This is my last week of working three days a week. I'm going down to two days a week.

Coffee is on, and stay safe.

Thursday June 22, 2023: This Is What Happened.

Yesterday I went for a walk, now I'm going up to the filth power pole. The wild daisy are in bloom. And I saw little bird sitting on the power line.

Murphy and I went over to the town of Priest River, to see a friend. We also stop at library there to look the exhibit of SPARKS OF INNOVATION. I don't know why, but I thought it would be bigger. I enjoyed it. Plus I got my hit of culture.

Also walk though the library in Priest River. And mange to get some photos around the area.

Plus I went to art and we did a sun. At sometime I would like to do a serious of suns. In what I call my spiritual creativity art journal book. It been sometime since I worked in it.

Last few days I been working on my creativity.

Also yesterday, I did tarot card lay out. For the summer solstice. It mainly about change. I know each day I been getting closer to retirement, and I been working on my thoughts. With the help of my therapist.

Murphy and I been working on redoing the fence. Taking down the garden fence. And re-wrapping it around the raspberries. We don't need as a large of garden.

It sad that all died on the submersible are dead. People such be above safety and profits.

Today musician comes from the state of WASHINGTON. Featuring the band PEARL JAM. The song BETTER MAN. And here are the LYRICS.

Coffee is on, and stay safe.

Today Is Sunday, May 21, 2023: This Is What Happened.

Yesterday was our monthly read-in at the library park. Yes, they have a local book banner. They say they aren't book banners. But they're trying to remove books from shelves. I call that book banning.

So here are the books that were read yesterday

  1. The Invisible Life of Addie Larue, by V.E Schwab.
  2. Mrs, Dole Is Out of Control, by Don Gotman.
  3. Diary Of a Wimpy Kid, by Jeff Kinney.
  4. What They Fought For 1861-1865, by James McPherson.
  5. Can't Hurt Me, by David Goggins
  6. The Christopher Killer, by Alane Ferguson.
  7. Klara and the Sun, by Kazuo Ishiguro.
  8. The Little Library, by Poppy Alexander.
  9. The Quest For Cosmic Justice, by Thomas Sowell.
  10. Zen The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance, by Robert Pirsig.
  11. Caste "The Origins of Our Discontents, By Isabel Wilkerson.
  12. A Handful Of Quite, by Thich Nhat Hank.
  13. Superhero Therapy, by Janina Scarlet.
  14. Travel With Charley in the Search of America, by John Steinbeck.

Then we had one more person, who usually reads with us. She is on vacation in Maine, and books he is reading. Me and Girl Name Earl, and the Dying Girl, by Jesse Earl.

I've been weed-whacking around the place. My flower beds got out of control with grasses and such. The one I called my "Royal Sunshine" flower bed. I have been thinking of taking it out. Putting a tree there.

And replanted the "Royal Sunshine" flower bed. But the question is where to put it. The deer are just hard on plant life year. It all most not worth having flowers.

I remember the last time I posted about my personal D.N.A. The first one is STOMACH VALUE AFTER MEAL. If I overeat, I somewhat have heartburn. So we eat around five in the evening. And I need a small snack around six-thirty. It can be simple as one saltine cracker. If not, I don't sleep as well. So it could be to say. "Compared to some, my fullness has its own clock."

I only meant a few that didn't have the POST CANNABIS MUNCHIES. It has been years, and I mean years since I did cannabis. And usually, I got chips with them.

TEA CONSUMPTION. I enjoy most teas. I don't have it more often. I like them, primarily red ones. The truth is I need to be in the habit of making teas.

Looks like a pretty quiet week at work. Need to set up two medical appointments. One for my colonoscopy, that time of year. The other one is to check the nodule on my thyroid. If there are no chances or growth. I will be totally done with that doctor. Plus, get hold of I.P.I.C (Idaho Partner In Care) and see how long Regis's new care person will take to be ready to go. It was his old one, and he moved to the southern part of the United States. He passed the background check before. I don't know if he has to start from point zero. Which is filling out a bunch of paperwork and fingerprints. I'm hoping I.P.I.C. (Idaho Partner In Care) can give me a period when Regis's new caregiver will start. So I can talk to social security about moving ahead on retirement.

The band I'm featuring is from OREGON. The band from Oregon is called PINK MARTINI, and the song SWAY, with LYRICS.

Coffee is on, and stay safe.

Today Is Saturday, March 18 2023; This Is What Happen

I'm stupid! Only some of the time. Last night instead of turning off the laptop, and should have done some reading in my current book, Song Solomon. And went to bed more at my regular time. Instead, I stayed up watching different star treks. And going through what my ancestors might have read during their time. I will try to read some of the past books that people might have read.

Then I look at books that came out when my granddaughter was born.

Here is a list of popular books from the year I was born. 1960.

One book that caught my eye was KLARA AND THE SUN. It was a book that came out in 2021. The same year my youngest granddaughter, Bree.

My brain doesn't feel safe making any major decisions at this time. So I'm sure not organizing. But I have been going through papers piled up in different spots in the house. Placing things safely in the trash. Which needs to be in there.

It starts to feel like spring. A few spring bulbs are beginning to show in the flowerbed below the front windows.

Some bare ground and other spots are still covered with snow.

I start to watch Saint Barbara, a foreign film. I have yet to watch many foreign movies. It has a subtitle. Sort of like reading a graphic novel.

It will likely be tomorrow or Monday. I will be sharing music. Plus, I will be going through each state of the union and posting about a song from that state of music that came.

I don't know how I will be sharing music.

So far, I have shared art from all countries in the world.

Today's art is from ZIMBABWE.

Coffee is on, and stay safe.

Sunday, August 07, 2022

Today Is Sunday August 7 2022, This Is What Happen.

Today is my third grand daughter Wendy today and she turn 4. Her dad Bart and Molly with some friend went camping. Not sure when they will celebrate her birthday. But since I do my count down to when I go part time on my job on family birthday. One can look at my count to part time work. 149 days, 4 months 3 weeks 6 days, 21 weeks 2 days, or 3576 hours.

I been sort of trying to figure out what going on work this up coming week. We're in for anther HEAT WAVE. Regis place is so hot and stuffy. On super hot days I will be going in morning. He has a doctor appointment on Tuesday.

Anther story on civil rights. City of COEUR D ALENE is responding to an ART PIECE. I doubt much would be said about the Nazi hand sign. Personally I don't care for it. And there books I don't care for. I wouldn't tell some one what to think or believe.

I still like to host two more read in this month. One on a Saturday during the farmer market hours and one in morning, during the week day. But I hope to hear from my son Bart and to give me some ideal when the party.

Thought this was good enough area to do my “Sunday Weekly Review” Less to pick from this week. But that ok. I feel break from blogging was good. First comment I will be using was left by SANDY...Sound like you been busy. Drink extra water, with temps like that you don't need to be dehydrated. Banning Books me want to scream from rooftops. We must fight these far right narrow minded people. We must learn from the past, not pretend it didn't exist...Having a job keep me busy. With heat and working in apartment that is hot and stuffy. Can zap a person. No one as adult going tell me what I can read. It parents responsibility to guide there children and correct material for them. Here in North Idaho the Christian far right gain to much ground. I hope and other here can push back. Second comment I will be using comes from ROBIN...Keep up the good fight on book banning! We can't let the fascist win...We're pushing back. No we can't let fascist win. They already gain to much ground. Now for third and last comment, which came from IRIS...Oh! I enjoy temps! 29C right now, wish I could sit on the balcony! Nice art, too and wow. 2 days of work sound good...More heat on way. There global warmer and climate denier here. But I think it spot on. I been enjoying putting different artist and there work from all over the world. First month I will be down two days starting July of 2023. But still they might have my replacement.

Let see what went on AUG 8 2014. We haven't had much as for pagan celebration. We had May day pot luck at the Pearl. Wow I found a bloggers who is still active....CAROL CASSARA and STUNNING KEISHA

This morning I went out pick some raspberries. Well they should have been picked a while back. There small and dried. Although tasty. One of many things I would like and need to move the raspberries. Plus the fence around the garden. When we survey our property the garden went over on my Aunt Eve property. Plus the fence need to be replaced. Last night we had beef ribs for dinner, and they were down on barbecue. At noon today is was 86.7 (30)

Today Artist is SERGIO ZANNI who is from ITALY

Today Is Sunday. September 13, 2026: This Is What Happened.

I decided to set down and try to type out a decent post. It been raining most of the day. This morning I took out the bigger vacuum. And ...
