Today Is Tuesday, October 29, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Murphy and I went to the senior center. Not many there. They were serving lamb. A little earlier in the month, they served ground lamb. Murphy thought they would have been more there. I didn't. The senior center had a small gathering last time they served lamb. Most of North Idaho isn't keen on change. I took my saddle into the basement. I got a set of winter tires that are in good shape. Don't fit on any of our rigs. So we're going to try to sell them.

I put the saddle in the basement when someone looks at the tire. I don't want them to come back and steal it, and our garage doors aren't all that great.

I sorted out the crayons. I made six bags. Two are going to be friends. Qunella said she would find a good home for them. Lolita has plenty of grandchildren. She does arts and crafts with them. I made a bag for myself, a bag for my granddaughter's Christmas present, and two bags—one for Claudia and Wendy's school.

I've been looking for art supplies, and crayons are one of them. I put mix art supplies in a pencil pouch, and I even find art supplies at the thrift store.

There is plenty of art with rivers in it. Their two rivers here are the Kootenai and the Moyie. The Moyie goes into the Kootenai. Today, the art is called "Meandering Landscape With River."PIET MONDRAIN created this painting. Here are some of his WORKS

Today Is Sunday, October 27, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Yesterday, Saturday. We went to Spokane to see my son and his daughter. His wife was down in San Diego. She went down to see her college play football. She graduate of WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY.

We went to Claudia's school, HIGH BRIDGE SCHOOL, which had a fall festival. We stopped at Burger King. As Bart was driving, I saw a place called THE THRIFTY SCOTSMAN. I had a chance to do some art with Wendy. She did this pumpkin in school.

Saute some onion, carrots, and celery in red wine. They're to be put in a beef stew. I'm not sure if this page I'm working on in my art journal not sure if I'm half done or not.

I didn't want my "Q" search word to be either "queer" or "queen," So over at Wiki Art, I did the word "quiet". I chose to use the artwork called. "Quitebuff" Done by EUGENE BOUDIN. And here are some of his other WORKS.

Today Is Friday, October 25, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Today art is from Wiki Art is called “The Ponds With A Herons” the painting was done by CHARLES DAUBIGNY. Look like he did little over 90 WORKS.

Yesterday. We didn't do anything. Or should I say very little.

Today. Just some odds and ends. I still need to get hold of few of my friends. To see if they would be interested in crayons. I got way too many. I will add some crayons for my Granddaughter creative supplies for Christmas. I'm looking and thinking of getting an CRAYON MELTER. But before that I need to get rid of few things. Plus I could go though some of our cookbooks. Usually we use recipes offline.

Keep meaning to get a paper shredder out of the thrift store. Usually there priced under $10. Paper clutter is issue we have at this resident. There paper I don't need float around.

Steve and I went to lunch at the senior center and they had nachos. And they food give away. We got plenty of zucchini. Thinking of making Minestrone soup.

Not sure if this art page is a third, fourth, or half done. I can truly say it not done.

Today Is Wednesday, October 23, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I had a great time in Sandpoint with my friend Lolita. Our first stop was the library. One of her friends got a DVD there. We just took it back. Then we went over to the YELLOW ROOM. We did hands. There have been times I could use an extra hand.

After class, we stopped by the pie hut. But they were packed. There were no tables for us. We left and came back later. Since I'm talking about the pie hut, Lolita had a small bowl of soup—something with Jalapeno in it—half a sandwich, and a piece of pie. For me, I had a large bowl of Italian squash chowder soup and a piece of chocolate pie. All very good.

We stop at the Pend Oreille Art Gallery. There is a lot of art in that community. I went and picked their brains about bringing more street art to my community. The girl working there was exceptionally helpful. They have a studio and work area in the back. They were a woman painting. She asked me if I was an artist. I said well, I guess one could say that. Lolita and I thought she was a snob. She was using one of the best brands of acrylic paints. They had an art exhibit by CHICO SUNDOWN.

Afterward, we went back to the library. The lady who was taking care of the art gallery told me to check the library; they have art classes. The art classes at the gallery were generally out of my price range. They do have arts and crafts I would be interested in. Because of the distance, I knew I couldn't make every one of them.

My last stop was Dollar Tree. Well, now it has higher prices, but I still bargained. I got a 2025 calendar, one with larger writing space, a large padded envelope so I can send some books down to Medford, Oregon, and two bags of candy—all under $5.

Today, a painting from Wiki Art is called "A Girl by the Oven." I searched for "Oven" mainly because we turned off the switch to clean the oven. I recall oven cleaning the oven by hand. ELIN DANIELSON GAMBOGI did the painting, and here is her WORKS

I got my hair cut and my Covid shot.

Today Is Monday, October 21, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I went to the senior center for lunch. They had bean soup, which I like a lot. I did a few small things around the place. I got a few more items to take to the thrift store. I sorted through a box and found a few things I could use for my granddaughter's Christmas gift. If it looks new or is in super good shape, I use items I get from the thrift store as gifts.

Lolita and I are going to Sandpoint and art class. We're making a few small stops, like at PIE HUT, which has great food. We're also going to stop in at ART GALLERY on Second Avenue, which has classes. But it's something I can't afford. I want to see if I can find out any information on ALLEY ART in Sandpoint. The last place I need to go is the dollar store, where I'm looking for four-leaf clover stickers. I'm not sure if Lolita needs to stop any other places.

Two words I try to avoid are "always" and "never." But today, the word I used for wiki-art is never. So today's painting is called "Never Look Back." Well, for whatever reason, we look back, as long as we never spend too much time in the past or future. MICHAEL BELL painted this painting. This painting is listed in the genre ALLEGORICAL, Which I never even heard of. I had to look up the word ALLEGORICAL.

Today Is Sunday, October 20, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I'm unsure how I feel or what my opinion is on my college turtle. I will set on. I doubt it. I will make any changes. I guess I can say I learned other techniques I could use if I did another collage. I'm sure I will.

It was a laidback day. I did some walking and put some weather striping around the basement door to the outside.

Today Is Saturday, October 19, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I got another page of artist trading cards—nine of them. They came from Idaho and Washington, and two are unknown to me.

I went to art class at the tea shop in Bonners Ferry. We made a collage turtle. Mine isn't done. Hopefully, I will have a chance to work on it tomorrow.

Before art, I stopped and filled out the form to borrow a book through the inter-library loan. I'm trying to get THE RED BOOK.. I've Been slow on reading this year.

I guess one could call it a rally. A group of people stood by the highway, just as one would leave Bonners Ferry, holding Trump and Vance signs and also signing "vote no on PROP ONE." I'm voting yes on this, mainly to get rid of closed primaries. But the odds of Prop One passing are narrow.

Since I'm in politics, I hope it's peaceful, regardless of the outcome. Confession time: I'm worried about the Trump Cult. If he wins, will he attack those who aren't one of his followers? If he loses, will he still cause such an uproar? It will be more or less like a coup.

Today's art theme from Wiki Art was merchants, a well-known subject of art. According to Wiki Art, nine artworks are titled " money ex-changer," but I bet there are more.

I also look at money exchanges as political.

ALBRECHT DURER did this piece, and here is his WORK.

I would like to try to create my version of a well-known painting or scene, like a starry night. I have some others in mind.

Today Is Friday, October 18, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Yesterday, Murphy and I went down to Post Falls to visit his sister Faith. She will be having back surgery sometime next week.

I am not counting childbirth or colonoscopy. I have only had three things done in a hospital in my lifetime. Tonsils, hernia, and tubes tied.

She sure has a different perspective on money. Her income is quite a bit more than ours. She takes weight-loss drugs. They cost her just under $150 a month, which is almost 12 % of our income.

We had lunch at the senior center. They had chicken fried steak, which was tender and tasty. I stopped by the community action center to see about the energy assistant. The form isn’t there yet, but it could be possible at the end of this month or the beginning of next month.

We drove up to Northern Homestead, got some weatherized items for our outside basement door, dropped off some items at the animal thrift store, and just looked around a little.

Also yesterday. I got some artist trading cards. I did a little art this afternoon. And did some general chores around the place. Today, art for Wiki art is called “A worker with a lamp,” which was done by FERNAND LEGER. Here is more of Leger, WORKS

It took me long enough to complete the quilt block. I recently found SU.E. KREITZMAN on YouTube. She loves color, and so do I. I’m also linking to FACE OFF and ART FOR FRIDAY.

Today Is Wednesday, October 16, 2024: This Is What Happened.

My first autumn painting is in my art journal. I went to a water class at the senior center. The girl reminds me of SUE BONNET SUE. All done in watercolors and lined with a black Sharpie. I’m sharing it on ART JOURNAL JOURNEY.

I forgot to share yesterday. I got my Medicare card, but I can’t use it until February. Today, I met Lolita and Qunella at the senior center, and they had lamb. I stopped at Lolita, and she shared some of her goodies from her overflowing freezer.

Did floor exercises, cooked breakfast, unloaded the dishwasher, and loaded the washing machine with jeans. Watch some YouTube videos. LUCIAN FREUD., Who is an artist and Grandson of Sigmund Freud. I don’t know if being a jerk is inherited or not. But Grandpa and Grandson come across to me as an A HOLE.

Today’s artist is Mary Cassatta, and the piece I’m sharing is called “Head of Sara in a Bonnet Looking Left.” Christie sold this painting in 2001, and it went for six figures. Gee, I was 41 then. My search word was “look” in Wiki Art.

Today Is Tuesday, October 15, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I took a short walk this morning to the end of the road. I did a little bit of cleaning in the back bedroom. I got a few more things to take to the thrift store. I also have a small pile of creative items that I will see if Greta wants for her intuitive art class. She is visiting her sister. So I will get hold of her this coming Thursday or Friday and see if she is interested. If not, I will drop them off at the thrift store.

Murphy and I went to the senior center for lunch, and they had a nice chicken dinner. I really like mushroom gravy. There was this guy there who believed that our government is full of lizard people. He was a teacher at one time.

I still need to call Magic Jack, my VOIP phone.

I still like to go through my drawer, where I keep my bags. It takes five minutes or less. I also keep stamps, pencils, and pens in that drawer.

I was goofing off at Wiki-Art. In their search, I put in the term "kinder" and came up with a KINDER ALBUM I didn't look all that far, like who did this album of kinder, but they do have a WEB SITE.

Today Is Monday, October 14, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I had fairly big plans for today, but I'm a little on the tired side. Even after the small hike Murphy and I took, my brain is not firing on all cylinders. I'm walking around like a zombie. I slept super hard. I'm still not totally awake. I was going to call Magic Jack and talk to customer care. Hopefully, I will be more alert.

I have been watching OUTSIDE ART on YouTube. And just maintaining the place. Oh, yes. I did some art also today.

Today Is Sunday, October 13, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I have no reason why I haven't posted in the last 24 hours. As you see, the world is still here.

Murphy and I took a drive up Ball Creek and did a short hike. I made a brief list of things I want to get done for the coming week, like calling the company that handles my VOIP. And I can tell you one more chore I have on my list: get my application for energy assistant. It helps me with our heating for 4 to 6 months of the year.

Don't ask why I even thought of this. But this would be the worst case scenario. That Trump wins the popular vote. But lose the Electoral College vote. It doesn't matter how it comes out of the election. Unless Trump wins, it will be rigged. What a jerk. Well when trump was running against Hillary Clinton. Trump never got the popular vote. Trump popular vote, 62,984,828 and Clinton popular vote, 65,853,514. Looks like Clinton won the popular vote by 2,868,687

Today's artwork is by SALVADOR DALI. I don't think I've seen this piece of his art. I'm having pizzia and green salad for dinner.

Today Is Friday, October 11, 2024: This Is What Happened.

For some reason, the landline doesn't work. Our line land is actually a V O I P. We pay $45 a year for our phone. I tried looking up the local phone company to see what their base monthly cost is. My friend Qunella still has a landline. I still know my parents' phone number. Now, I hardly know anyone's phone number

Murphy and I went to the senior center for lunch. We had fried chicken. I had a drumstick. What I like the most is the mashed potatoes and country gravy. Before that, we went down to the post office. I picked up an international stamp. The last time I bought one, it was .95¢ and today I paid $1.65. When we got home, we removed the air conditioner from the bedroom.

Today's painting is "Two Peasant Boy With a Kite" by Alexey Venetsianova. Here are some more of his works. I don't even recall last time I even flew a cat.

Today Is Wednesday, October 9, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Simple day. Like over 97.3% of my days. I had coffee with Qunella at Under The Sun. Stop at a thrift store and just looked around. I bought nothing. Stop at the store. I got a package of pork chops. So, we had pork chops with some noodle dishes and fried apples for dinner. I got the apples at the senior center food giveaway. I thought everyone knew about fried apples. One of the people asked me what I was planning to do with the apples. I said fried them. She never heard of fried apples. The last thing I ate was Mandarin. One more thing. I have jury duty. I have to show up to court in the morning.

Today's art is by ROMARE BEARDEN. I found his work when I was over at WIKI ART. Do a search using "Jelly." Here is some more work by this artist.

Today Is Tuesday, October 8, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I'm taking a short break. I just vacuumed the inside of my car. After I get my post up, I will take a damp rag and wipe out my car.

I went to the senior center, and they had chicken tortilla soup with a nice green salad and peaches. Plus, there was a food giveaway. I called the tables for the food giveaway. I thought it was nerve-racking—calling numbers, that is.

I went through some more books. I have some kids' books to send to my grandchildren, but I need another book. The piles of books aren't even. I doubt it would bother anyone, but it bothers me. I might even work on my books.

Murphy and I had a nice hike yesterday. It has been ages since we've been up by the Canada, Montana, and Idaho lines. We sure don't hike the distance we used to.

Today Is Sunday, October 6, 2024: This Is What Happened.

It's been a while since my hip has bothered me. Well, today, it decided to act up. I definitely didn't tell it to act up.

Murphy and I went to town to get a few items. I thought it would cost around thirty dollars, but I was $10 off.

I keep looking at pumpkins to carve, but I send a good chunk of my retirement check off to my credit card. I just want to get paid off. Darn lawn mower. Usually, I can pay the credit card off in one or two months. Pumpkins are .49¢ a pound. So no jack o lantern.

Before the store, stop and slip a check at the water company place. They have a box with a slit—water bill for the month: $68.

There are less than 30 days until our presidential election. We don't vote for the President. We actually vote for ELECTORAL. Idaho has FOUR ELECTROL VOTES. Opinion time...Something needs to be done with the electoral collage. My state isn't in play. The majority of people here will cast for Trump. I will be glad when this election is over. I'm staying in my home for a few days after the election. There are too many crazies out there.

I got my to-do list done. One thing is to go for a hike up in the mountains.

Today Is Friday, October 5, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Took a morning walk right around 9. I love watching the colors change.

I've been watching plenty of YouTube videos. It finally came across the television. I figure it could get out of control. One of the bounds is that I don't watch it before 10 a.m. I need to come up with two more bounds.

I took the old lamp out of the larger guest room and put in a new one that works. Murphy and I wrapped up some trees today. Deer are hard on them, mostly the alpine fir. There have been deer found with CHRONIC WASTING DISEASE. The deer around here coming into winter look fairly good.

Did two artist trading cards today.

Coffee is on.

Today Is Friday, September 19, 2025: This Is What Happened.

Before I went to the senior center for lunch I decided to stop in at one of our thrift store. In search of a laminator. They didn't have...
