Simple day. Like over 97.3% of my days. I had coffee with Qunella at Under The Sun. Stop at a thrift store and just looked around. I bought nothing. Stop at the store. I got a package of pork chops. So, we had pork chops with some noodle dishes and fried apples for dinner. I got the apples at the senior center food giveaway. I thought everyone knew about fried apples. One of the people asked me what I was planning to do with the apples. I said fried them. She never heard of fried apples. The last thing I ate was Mandarin. One more thing. I have jury duty. I have to show up to court in the morning.

I bet the pork chops were delicious with those fried apples!
ReplyDeleteHow do you prepare fried apples? There’s a restaurant here that serves a dish called warm cinnamon apples,I think your apple dish might be similar
ReplyDeleteCan you tell us how you do the fried apples? Sliced and fried in butter perhaps? Add a little cinnamon? I like apples.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of fried apples but they sound rather nice. You could sprinkle them with cinnamon after they are fried.
ReplyDeleteJury duty?! Curious.
ReplyDelete...dinner sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteSimple days are always good. The food sounds good too. Seniors are exempt from jury duty here.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of fried apples. Baked apples but not fried.
ReplyDeleteNope, never heard of fried apples either. It's interesting what we think of as normal. Good luck with your jury duty.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of fried apples. In Vermont, I had an omelet with apples and cheddar cheese cooked inside of the omelet. I don't know if the apples were prefried or just apple pie filling, but it was good. Good luck with jury duty. I hope you don't have to pay for parking and your lunch, like you do where I live. ReplyDeleteGood luck with the jury duty!
ReplyDeletePork chops and apples go well together.
ReplyDeleteHope jury duty goes okay.
All the best Jan
Fried apples are good! We call them "Äpfel im Schlafrock" ("apples in a dressing gown")
ReplyDeleteAll the best from Austria and lovely October days,

Oh yum!! I love fried apples!!!
ReplyDeleteI make the apples into hand pies. They're fried if you want to call it that, with sugar, cinnamon and butter, before filled into the hand pie pastry and baked. They freeze well that way.
