Little Project

I've mention about our possible future retirement. But at present time we're holding our own. Murphy and I hire our grand nephew to help us with a few things around the place. He young and strong.
Personal I think it would be a good ideal to hire him twice a month. Or six hours a month.

I did of course the house work. And one load of laundry. I bought some stretch jeans and wash them twice and put over deck railing.
It had has a strange chemical order.
There comfortable, but not sure I real want to wear them or not.

One thing we had our nephew is help with the bottom step landing. Well Murphy bought to much concrete and I took it back, what we didn't use. So I went to town and return 5 bags.
Got a few groceries at local store.

It sure been Windy and I went around the place and took in our summer yard decoration. But them in the barn/shed.
Still need to pick some green beans.

I think I'm going to make a you tube video and try to do some editing. I want to try to slice and or piece it. Who knows how it will come out.

Wednesday Meme Number Eighteen

Miss last Wednesday meme I take part in. The three I take part is ABC WEDNESDAY,WORDLESS WEDNESDAY and WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY
I have trouble figure which order I want to do this meme. It my choice and it not going change the price of tea in China.
So this time I'm going with Wordless Wednesday to start with

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Still the pattern was still not quite over $2.50 yet and there was a lot fabric which was on sale. Sandra thought she could BESPOKE a few wool skirts and blouse to go nicely with them.

But before she could start to sew her item. She knew she had to help her husband Terry with redoing the FENCE line around the berries over time it became week and was leaning.
So after a short time they had the FENCE secured around the berries.

The table in her craft room was covered with things for an up coming yard sale and known hopeful this week she will have time to go though all her children POSTERS when they were still living at home. Last left seven years ago.

So she will be using the dinning table to cut her piece out. Since the yellow plaid wool was pretty much end of the bolt and moving pattern pieces around for a moment. Suddley she remember that she had skirt made out of the same fabric and color. Haven't wore it in ages.
Although the style was quite a bit different and between the two she could do some SPLICING and end up with anther skirt.

If it wasn't for her husband and his carpentry skills. That made her sewing room a friendly ERGONOMIC and it made easier for to use.

Her sewing add about twenty percent to there income and help for those little things in life.

In a short time she did up up three lady skirt all size 14 and one little girl skirt a size 7.
Then my story for WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY and these will be the words I will be using BESPOKE, FENCE,POSTER,DRAINED,SPLICE,and ERGONOMIC

Just like a lot of things. Actual I like more things then I don't like. I might try a mix of you tube video's and writing blogs.
Good news I did make my quarter weight lost goal. I'm under 205. Now I'm starting to work on my next five pounds.
So for 2018 I will have lost 20 pounds.
They want me to come up with a contest for our weight lost group.
Wednesday posting will take a little more time. And my hubby bought and fixing one of my favortive meets, liver.

I Just Change The Title

I sat up a poll on my face book page and decided to do the same one here. It not on religion or politics it won't or should get under any one skin. And I was going to put it on the right hand side of my blog.
Well I can't find the items you do poll with....So Do you like apple pie or crisp best?

I was ask on my last POST if that was my voice and I was taking a walk. The answer is yes. But this video was done some time ago.
The one in my last blog was made three years ago and this was made a short time ago. I walk down to end of my road.

Yesterday I went to Northwest Pagan Circle Festival...The local pagans got together and had day of celebration.
It was going to be a PAGAN PRIDE but we ran into some legal troubles. We got a letter cease and desist.
So we change it to Northwest Pagan Circle Festival, and the ideal was to educated and promote paganism.

Still because some are uncomfortable with the pagan faith and fears. Confession time...I have to watch my self on evangelical Christians. I tend to be quick to have negative opinion on this group.
But there paganism who would be found out and worried about loosing there job. So photos and such needs to be carefully considered.

Local belly dancer entertain us.  And I thought I could flip it around but I didn't


Now talking about video and you tube. I still would like find a baby boomers who done a few video on variety of subject. Not grumble on and on about one subject.
Confession time....Not a big fan of talk radio.

This is real. I would guess she a baby boomer. But wish she continued. I can't talk look how I did with you tube.

Two of my goals today was to clear off both dinning/kitchen table and the living room coffee table. I figure this is half way though.
Actual I did get both clean off. Photo on my next post.

Murphy and I did put the frame to the steps together. We luck out and found some per cut metal steps, which safe us some money.

Course there a few more things I did like garden, laundry and I just don't want to mumble on and on about what every.

Didn't Make Wednesday and Not Going Make Friday

On Wednesday I usual take part in ABC Wednesday, Wordless Wednesday, and Word for Wednesday. Well I didn't do anything with either.
But I won't be doing Friday which I take part in Paint Party Friday or Sky Watch.
I like doing these hopeful I will be back on track.

Now for some ramblings. For some reason my key board on my smart phone isn't working. I haven't tried it for a while.

I made a few you tube video and can't find them. I done a few on my weight lost and improving my health. And look like last one I made was in 2015

Today I watch a lady open a mystery box and her make up looks perfect. But her attitude drives me nut.
Now I wonder if middle age people do you tube or go live on  social media. I need to look that up.

Well what happen today....I made chicken noodle soup. Oh it was good.
Did a load of whites before I went to work.
Stop in at the chic n chop a local restaurant and had pieces of apple pie and cup of coffee. Came to I believe $3.50
Most of there pie had dairy, from the cream. The chocolate cream and Reese did sound good.

Our garden fence is falling down. I believe and I talk to Murphy and we going to take or majorly cut back in veggie garden.
His shingle taken him for a ride. Although he is doing much better.

On my facebook page I been asking a daily question. So Yesterday I ask...Question time.....What is your voice trying to say? and today question was ....What cabinet department would you like to spend the day with? Yes I'm going to give my blog fans a look at tomorrow question...How do you like a story to end.

Not Much On Yesterday

Yesterday post was on what I might get for our OLD AGE PENSION. I do have other money in saving and investment. But it still I sure not going to be living high on the hog. At present time I don't.
But maybe I should take a little bit of time how our pension system work. Although I don't have all the answer.
We call our SOCIAL SECURITY.
When you go to work they take out of course your federal taxes, and some time your state tax. Not all state has a state income tax. Idaho does.
But we pay tax called F.I.C.A and this goes in fund. Right now I'm and other who working is supporting those who are  retire now. Once I retire and those in work force support will pay into the system.
But I live in lower income area and didn't have the opportunity to make higher wages. Which I'm not blaming others. It just a fact.
So there people who work all there life for lower wages will get something like $750 a month and those who are top wage earner will get close to $2,700 a month.
Not sure exactly how they figure what someone will receive once there retired. I have friends who is drawing there pension. One of my friends get $980. $850, $350, $1,200. $777, $1,905, and $1,600
As you can see there wide range of amount when it comes to social security pension, those who have a private type of pension it doesn't effect there social security.
I need to move on.

Since Murphy is dealing with SHINGLES and both our temper is hard to maintain. It sure different taking care of your mate then my client.

But I was hoping to get a little father on quilting. I did choose the colors I want to use.

It been a while since I actual did anything in the kitchen. I don't mind being domestic goddess and I hardly get the chance.
So tonight I made up beef barley soup with biscuits
Right now I'm trying to built up my pension.
I thought the perfect job would be work six month of the year, at $30 an hour and then for the next six month draw unemployment. So I can be domestic goddess. But I assume there short coming to this ideal.

I took our flyers up to both boarder we have to customs, EAST PORT AND KINGSGATE then I drove over to PORTHILL AND RYKERTS
I still working on the paper work so I can get a past port to do a little traveling.
It been ages since I drove and still as pretty. Stop and got photo of the kootenai valley.

Looked and Wish I didn't

Went on line and check what I might be getting from social security and  OMB  which help low income people pay for the medicare and the other cost that goes with it.
Both my client is under QMB they both get SSDI and SSI. They have nothing taken out there check for there medical insurance and I'm not sure if federal or state picks it up. But medicare covers 80% and medicaid from the state picks the 20% up.
Well then I have a friend that she got QMB and it only picked up the insurance premium but the 20% that medicare doesn't cover she was responsible for.
Simple she has a resident and property. But my client has no property, they both rent and receives subsidized housing,

After all that. In my own mind I start to go though a "What if" and figure all the decision was made by me or other that effect were I am or will be.
I know I don't want to complete depend on medicaid or SSI. But my friend Alice wish I didn't look. I know I wouldn't be getting that much.
But for me to get $1,000 a month look like I will wait until I'm 70 years old. Some time between 63 and 64 I was going to either cut back my hours or quite.
I wasn't going to sign up for social security until after 67 years old.
This is what my social security might look like. If I take it at 62 which I don't see it $369 a month, 63 I would get a little more, and then at 67 I would get something like $766
I don't know if this is still option or not. I could possible get 50% of my husband, and continue to work. I believe I have to be over 62.
 He doesn't get that much from his social security, $777 and they take out $108 for his medicare.
If I didn't work or have the asset we would have to pay his medicare premium or 20% that medicare doesn't pick up

My friend Alice ex-husband get $350 a month and not sure why he isn't get his SSI , which would bring his income up to $750 a month.

Guess blame can go away around. I thought I would of do little better finical, although I knew I wouldn't be global trotter either.
 But I do know how bureaucracy work because of my job. My home is paid for, and my living cost isn't all that high.
Blaming isn't going solve the problem.
And there always way to cut corners, there usual something out there to get one though about anything. And do have my ceramic molds I can still put it in basement and bring in a little income. In reality I believe I could bring in extra $400 a month.

Just a short ago the neighbor who own the property across the street. Stop over and said "I'm going to cut down two dead COTTONWOOD TREES, I'm worry they might fall on the local neighbor kids"
Well they logged behind the trees, but I can't located where they cut the cotton wood trees.

Last week I said I was going to post some different Art other then my tarot cards. I was quite busy with work and dealing with my husband shingles. And lot of my goals this week didn't get done, including my art.
This is my version of the four of wands in tarot. This card makes me uncomfortable. In up right position three key words is...Celebration, Reliable, Establishing Roots and such. But if it up the three key words could be...Incomplete, Jilted, Insecurity and such.

Wednesday Meme Number Seventeen

bunion, forlorn, estate, plush, clump and rags. These are the words I will be using in my fictional story. There is a second set words and some people use both set. Please check out WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY 

The orchard been on this land for five generation. Our 5th great grand father came over from a little town in Namborn Germany with his three siblings.
Once the ship landed in Helen Delich Bentley Port which part of Baltimore. And his parents had a little money, but enough to get a wagon and pair of horses. 
The church members that came on the ship divided up the supplies among the congregation.
And the Gredig headed to Indiana.

As they settle in there new home and started to clear the land, and it was established that when they left there ESTATE in Germany they brought some apple seed that there great grand father had planted an orchard and the apples was sweet and juicy.

The home and the out building went up over the next five years and they became part of community.
Even a few PLUSH items one might not say that a quilt from RAGS wouldn't classify as PLUSH.
But all the beds had hand done quilt and most of the fabric came from clothing they wore and even brought on ship when they came over.

Beating the CLUMPS of sod to plant the orchard and after a season of that, one would be FORLORN and to settle one nerve they would get jug of wine that was made from pin cherries.
Well the apple orchard was planted and even put in some American varieties. One was called Pearmain.
One year and not sure which year it was. But notice one trees had BUNION on some of the branches and the apples had trouble maturing and would fall off the tree before they even ripen.

But one of the neighbors to the south of them also had some apples and like the Gredig came from all country and brought some apple seeds. Start a orchard.
So over toast and they decided to graft a tree from Namborn and to one from Masovain. So the apples was called "Gutcraz" and the farm been in the family for five generation and now there known for many wines, beers, and other drinks all under the brand name of Dobry Geist.

Since Murphy has shingles and some of sores are in his mouth he now heat up the juice. which I like over cold juices
But maybe I will try heating my orange juice up.
So for ABC WEDNESDAY and juice is my letter J

Monday Post

Well I just can't come up with a good title. I don't see my self just talking about one subject. Well I picked up the house chores a little more.
Hubby got the shingle and I know I mention it before.

Today I stop in our local library and finish up the flyers for the "Northwest Pagan Circle" We were calling it Pagan Pride event but there quite a bit of legal ramification if we use term "pagan pride"

Trimmed up the bag of fabric I got at antique store. I just finish washing them and now I'm about ready to toss them in the dryer.
Well one last thing I did was had some quilt pattern copied.
But I'm to tired to deal with them.

Little better on steps, over 5,700 and I wear my fit bit a little longer.

Got My

I start to use my fit bit once again. I lost my doogle do hickey thing. Just start to use it and I see I majorly need to step up my game.

The other day I took Regis to local antique place and they have a fabric section and they offer fabric by the bag.

They have a laundry basket and large garbage sack full of scape fabrics. So one can take a gallon zip lock and stuff full for three dollars.
Then they had per bag stuff of fabric for five dollars and these bag weigh one pound.
If my math is correct I got some where between 3 to 4 yards of fabric.
And looks like high majority is usable.

Confession time...I real don't need more fabrics. 

I take part in a quilt block exchange and this is one I recieved this last week. I send out three blocks. Actual this block came from Tennesee.

Some minor digestion trouble. Shrimp was on sale for $8.98 a pound. So we had fried rice and shrimp. Hubby and I split a pear.

Now it Time To Tell

First time every going to a renaissance faire. Nothing to compare it to or if it was pretty close of being to date. Well a few things they had there I question if was total correct.
The renaissance period 14th to 17th century.
Like the modern mirror. I know in Egyptian use certain metal like copper for reflection.

The little bit I research that renaissance period they didn't belly dance. But I thought it was quite interesting. They belly dancer sure wasn't skin and bones.

They had the JOUSTING games and I understand why they let just say "dummy it down" I was lucky enough to sat by someone who knew something of knight fashion.
I'm fairly sure woman didn't take part in jousting.

The word renaissance means "rebirth" like any advancement there is those who missed out. which is those of less MEANS

Let Just Start Out

Today spending was $39.88 not going to break it down. Work or having a job can be quite tiring. I still want to share a few photos from the renaissance faire went to just out side of Sandpoint, hopeful this weekend I can do a post on it.

Hubby been battling with shingles, he went for his check up with his doctor. The thing they was mainly concern with is puss in his ears.

Well I need to take a lunch Regis just have to much sugary food at his place.

Haven't had the nerve or time to tackle both words, But I will be tackle the first set which is hitch, quack, curtains, deplorable, mundane, and ravelled.

Fay and May both lost there husband in last few years. There small retirement check wasn't all that much, so Fay decided to try to sell her place and move in with her sister on the other side of town.
Well both of ladies had done a ton of quilt and never sold a single one and usual they were given away as gifts.
But as she was cleaning out closet she found a bag of her late husband Chris flannel shirts and she decided to go though them and actual they were in fairly good shape. But mainly around the elbow, cuffs, and the very bottom it was starting to RAVELLED and she knew a little trimming and she figured she could make 2 rag lap quilt that would be good for two of her great grand sons.

But soon the phone rang and it was her sister May and since Fay lost her husband she been trying to get her sister to use her doctor.
But Fay feels that the doctor her sister use is "QUACK"

Well May husband actual been gone a little longer then Fay husband and her place start to fall a part.
But it seem May had a little trouble adjusting to widowhood. She seem to be in a MUNDANE mood but her children was quite concern and helped her though this time of grief.
Although her DEPLORABLE  neighbor who had no empathy would take advantage of her and this is anther reason the two sister would be living together, both of could keep an eye out for each other.

Fay was waiting for her brother son David to come and take the CURTAINS  and she wasn't sure what she want or need to keep.

Ring Up That Cash Register

To me it seem like REFINERY29 which is part of the MONEY DIARY . Well to best of my knowledge they seem on in the female and the generation millenniums. But also glancing at income there seem to be quite a few six figure incomes.
Not all have a six figure income.
Today I spend $39.79. Well I will briefly post what I spend the money on when I was in town. Breath mints for my car, cat treats for Buddy Regis cat, candy
I had my dues for my weight lost group and pay mine monthly $5.00 and we're also having a fall rally to go to. Each group makes a basket which raffle ticket will be sold. So I got two adult coloring book which came to $11.98
The first of the month our group does a veggie/fruit basket and every one is to bring in a piece of fruit or veggie.
I got a nectarine and that was $1.44
For lunch I stop in at Soul Shine and had a harvest apple sandwich which cost me $10.00 and I left a 15% tip.
Idaho is still a state that doesn't pay there tip works the federal wage of $7.25 AN HOUR so I always leave a tip.


Weigh in today and I was up .75 a pound. I need to start walking and packing my lunch.
Hubby moving right long on the side porch, stain more of the frame and he ready to cut the very top boards.

Starting September Not Much Change

This morning I was watching the news and they had interesting or thought it was interesting about our thinking about money.
It one of those taboo subject.
I went over to MONEY DIARIES and thought it was interesting. But they seem pretty much interested in the millennials generation and haven't notice any posting from other generation such as like me a baby boomer. There a few from the greatest generation left and they survive the dust bowl and WWII. Well I won't mention all the generation and those who are born in year of 2000 will be leaving nest soon or all ready have. This generation is part of GENERATION Z. Both of my son are millennials and both hubby and are from baby boom generation.

Just balance out the check book and I do keep a check register, As for my payments I run up to the nearest dollar. If I purchase something for let say $17.75. I will take $18.00 from the account.
But if I make depoist I round down to there nearest dollar. Let use my paycheck and let say it $356.12 when I put in my check book it will only be $356 and leave the cent off.
Currently the bank says I have 2,193.08 and I say I have $1934 in cheaking.

I did my BULLET JOURNAL a little different then I did my last one. My weather chart and finance.

One of my friend and her husband came to visit I knew her since grade school. She brought up beef stroganoff and way to much dairy in it, and I paid the price this morning.
She was a personal care giver, same job I do. She ended up being on disabitly, her check is $1,200 a month.
Saturday and my clients went to the renaissance faire just out side of SANDPOINT and just haven't had a chance to look at photos.

August 2018 Check In

Now I'm going to_________. But I would guess we could fill in the blank. Well I did get things done during the month of August. Life did happen.

Here in North Idaho we hardly every see a 100 (37.7) well we did here. End of the month we did get a little bit of rain about 2/3 (1.5)
Biggest grip was the smoke here and it was so thick we couldn't see the mountains surround us. But it beautiful with blue skies.

Did mange to get some small loards haul to the thrift store. I just need to take the pick up and it would haul the rest of my items in our basement.
I went though both my closet and dresser. Got rid of stain and items with holes in them. Three things happen to these things. In the trash can they went, rags, or possible a reuse them in a project.
I have lost weight this year and I did mange to take a few items that didn't fit which was given to the thrift store.

Half year is in our past and I drop a little over 10 pounds (4.5) and these last few pounds for my quarter goal just seem to hang on.
But I like to finish up the year 20 pounds (9.07) down.

I did enter a few items in our local fair and half of them I place. It not to win or loose it was to be part of something, community that is.
I will enter hopeful next season.

I can't think of any creative I completed this last month. Oh cheese in my grand daughter rock collection. The color "Nectar Coral" is some what diffucult to cover.

Well I still need to see what I call my PERSONAL INSIGHT or my interself sight.
