I got up later than usual—seventy-thirty this morning. I had my morning coffee and watched a little bit of the news. Murphy got an hour later than me. Around the time hubby was getting up, I went for my walk. My month of May distance is seven power line poles. It takes me between twenty and thirty minutes to get there and back.
The trees are just looking great.
Did up the dishes.
I went to town. My first stop was the thrift store to drop off a few items. I did pick up one item: a leaf punch. It cost me seventy-five cents.
I went to the local art gallery and traded in my artist trading cards. These are the ones I ended up with.
I took back the book I had finished, The Bobbsey Twins, and picked up my other book, Killer of the Flower Moon. It is a completely different type of read.
Stop and visit Liz. She got way too much food for a single person, but she gave me some of it. I'm Thankful for it.
Tonight's dinner was pork chops, potatoes with mushroom gravy, and broccoli. Liz gave me the mushroom soup, so I made it into gravy, and I had fresh broccoli.
Coffee is on.
Wow, from "The Bobbsey Twins" to "Killers of the Flower Moon" -- one extreme to the other!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the trees is gorgeous! It has certainly been a very beautiful spring here...one thing after another exploding with blossoms. It's been quite the show.
ReplyDelete730!!!!! Don't feel bad, I don't get up till 10 on weekends, and heavens forbid anyone interrupt my lie in.
The trees and surrounds are so green.
ReplyDeleteAs we are heading into winter our trees are losing their leaves
