Today Is Monday, December 30, 2024, This Is What Happened.

I still can't get my photos off my camera. I'm not sure what's going on, so I will set up an appointment with a techie at our local library.

This is not much of a post. I went to the store and bought some marked-down crab. It had a $5 off coupon on it, but I ended up paying $5.24. What a treat!

(Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe-1923-place unknown)

Today, I went through a few boxes. Some went to the trash can, and some went into the box that contained things that needed to go to the thrift store. I managed to get the rest into one box. I need to go through the box again. Some of the items are my sons.

(The Year's at the Spring-1920-Place Unknown)

Today's art movement is ART AND CRAFT. Well, here is a link to the difference between arts and crafts. But I would guess some creativity would fall into both categories.

Today's artist is Harry Clarke, and I noticed some of his works are in groups with the same name. I'm leaving a link to his work.

Today Is Sunday, December 29, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I might as well make my January 2025 prediction. In general, January will have relatively few news events, or stories will be short-lived.(Self Portraits, the frame-1938-located at  Georges Pompidou Center, Paris, France)

Two guests from an adversary country will attend the inauguration. My hunch is Kim Jong Un and Viktor Orban. They will be on American soil for less than five days.

Deporting illegal aliens won't happen as Trump wishes. The legislative branch will be dampening his plan. Trump will get a big percentage (Over 75%) of his cabinet. Still, grumbling about the legislative branch. He will blame it on the deep state.

People will be staying closer to home. Not going out as much.

I can't figure out why I can't get the two ATC (artist trading cards). I went to visit Lolita. She worked in her art journal. I gave her some creative supplies. Hopefully, tomorrow, I can share what I did over at Lolita's place

(What the Water Gave Me-1938-location- Daniel Filipacchi Collection, Paris, France)

Last Friday, Murphy and I went to the senior center. For the food giveaway, I got some broccoli, which I like very much.(Portrait of Diego Rivera-1937-location Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection, Mexico City, Mexico)

Murphy and I are watching the Munsters. I like the Munsters better than the Adams family.

Today's art movement is Primitivism. Some would consider outside and brut art part of primitivism art. I'm sure there is a difference. Today, I will feature one of my favorite artists of today's art movement, FRIDA KAHLO.(Fruits of the Earth-1938-location-Banco de México Collection, Mexico City, Mexico)

Today Is Saturday, December 28, 2024: This Is What Happened

Last weekend of 2024: Hubby and I have been watching some old Alfred Hitchcock television shows. We just finished cleaning the dining room ceiling. I think on Monday, we will go and work on the dining room walls. (Shell- Year and place unknown)

Later, I will contact my friend Lolita and see if she wants to spend some time doing creative things. I plan to go up to Liz and do some chores around the place, like emptying Addie's litter box—as you can guess, Addie is her cat—and emptying the fridge. For some reason, she lost her power to her place

When she gets back, I will show and explain to her about bullet journal. But the choice is hers. (Shepherdesses spinning -Year and place unknown)

Last evening, Murphy and I made an upside-down pineapple cake. It was the first time I had ever made an upside-down cake.

In the next few days, I plan to post my prediction of January 2025.

IMPRESSIONISM. is today's art movement. The basic impressionist movement lasted about 20 years. Since it seems such a popular movement, I wanted to know if there are any current impressionist artists and who they are.

I'm featuring a few pieces of NICCOL CANNICCI. (In sight of San Gimignano-1891-location unknown.

Today Is Tuesday, December 24, 2024: This Is What Happened

Christmas eve. It will be quiet around here. Later on, Murphy and I will open our gifts. This evening. I won't be blogging tomorrow. It will be Christmas, and I will be on my way to Post Falls. I will post a photo of our Christmas gift on Boxing Day. (Eos-1895-location unknown)

Not much physical work done today. More mental work. I went through and sorted some crafts, like paper. Is what to do with them. I'm trying to get all art and craft supplies to one area. I plan to send creative supplies to my granddaughter's home after the new year. I'll give Lolita some so she and her grand-kids can have craft time. Some of my grandchildren live locally. (Earth Bound-1897-location unknown)

Instead of butter on my pancake, I put on Cool Whip. This is not the healthiest choice.

Today, the art movement is SYMBOLISM. A lot of the time, I wonder why certain items might be put in a piece of art. Let's say why did the artist paint a brick home. Or if I'm reading a story. Why did the Author name, let's say, a mountain in the story the mountain is called Parker? Today, the artist I'm featuring is EVELYN DE MORGAN. (Cassandra-1898-location unknown)

Today Is Monday, December 23, 2024: This Is Happened.

Let's have some fun.

I got the guest room bed all clean off. I still have more to do in that room.

(Partenon-year unknown-place unknown)

Murphy and I went to the senior center for their Christmas meal. They had prime rib roast. But before we ate, I got to play Scrabble. Four of us played. I came in second.

But before the senior center, we took care of Liz's cat and picked up her mail. Then we went to Larson and bought two gifts for granddaughters Claudia and Wendy.

Got a package for Christmas. Murphy needs to wrap it. It is a gift for me.

(Pie-year unknown-place unknown) Question time...I wonder what feet have to do with pie?

I did manage to find a short video on NATURALISM, which is today's art movement. I'm going to start going through the category of modern art, which started in the 1860s and continued until the 1970s. Here is what Wikipedia says about modern art. It looks like we're in a contemporary art movement at this time.

I'm sharing the works of JOSE GARNELO

Today Is Sunday, December 22, 2024: This Is What Happened

It my kick back day. Not doing much today. So I took part in Penguin

SUNDAY FIVE.

1: I recently revealed in a comment, that about 100 pounds ago I owned a pair of black leather shorts, booty shorts would be an accurate description.  What is the most embarrassing item of clothing you have ever worn?  I doubt that I wore anything embarrassing. I could do an entire post on embarrassing. Or a page in my art journal on subject of embarrassing.

2: What item of clothing from your past would you like to own again (in a size that fits you today)?  Black dress.

3: What is the oldest item of clothing that you still wear and any special history on it? I haven't bought any clothes for a while. I would guess I haven't bought anything over two years.

4: Do you follow fashion trends?  Not really.

5: What is most important in how you dress?  My clothes need to clean. I don't want to look like an homeless person.

Today Is Saturday, December 21, 2024: This Is What Happened.

First day of winter in the northern hemisphere. As I look out my window the world is foggy. Today I'm going to take part in two memes. Or I like to call around of question. The first around of question is from. Taking part into day, SATURDAY NINE and it “Happy Holiday” version. Than I just went to on line generator of RANDOM QUESTION.

    1. As you can see, when Sam Winters was a little girl, she loved giving her annual wish list to Santa. If you could ask Santa for anything at all, right now, what would it be? People would just take time and listen, with and open heart and mind.

    2. Are you currently on the Naughty or Nice list? How did you get there? I want to be on honest list. I'm sure from day to day. I could be bumped between naughty and nice list.

    3. Are you traveling this Christmas? If so, are you going by car, plane or train? Car. Christmas day we will be going down to Murphy sister, Faith place. Unless the roads are to bad. Looks like the roads will be clear.

(Banks of the Oise-done in about 1863-location unknown)

    4.  Did you ship any gifts to friends and family this year? If yes, which one traveled the farthest? To my son Sawyer in Medford Oregon.

    5. Did you buy yourself a gift this year? Yes. It should be here Monday. I will have hubby wrap it.

    6. Which do you prefer: candy canes or gingerbread? I like both. Now If chocolate cherries was tossed in there. I wouldn't picked them.

(Sunrise, banks of the Oise-done in about 1865-location unknown)

    7. Close your eyes and tell us the first carol that comes to mind? Hark the Harold Angles Sing.

    8.  What's your favorite winter beverage? Right now I will say eggnog. A little later on I will have some with rum. Toast in yule.

9.Share a memory from last Christmas. ? I bought both my granddaughters. A instant print camera. My husband thought they would have been flop. They loved them. He made the remark that we had to eat EAT CROW.

    1. If you lost all of your possessions but one, what would it be? I would say my art journals.

    2. If you where vegetable what would it be. Artichoke. I would have pokeys on me for protection.

(The Themes in Erith- done in 1865-located at MUSSE)

    3. What would be on your bucket list? Gee single 2024.Is almost gone. I never though bucket list for 2025. I will only list 3 things. Visited my son in Oregon. I'm looking to go down there around my birthday which is February. Finish up that bedroom I been working on. Let say I should be done before May. I pretty much work on little bit daily. Read 21 books in 2025. Didn't meet my reading goal in 2024. I had plan to read 34 books and only read 14 books. It more than one a month. Here is my READING REPORT from Good Reads.

Murphy and I did some wall and ceiling washing in the kitchen and dinning area. As many of you know I been taking things to the thrift store. Here is what is in my thrift box container. I will take it in Monday and donated to the Community thrift store. Confession time...There part of the Seventh Day Adventist. And they some what promote there faith. All though not pushy. But they do have there pamphlet there. I don't know why it bothers me that they don't take Halloween items. They do take it over to Animal shelter or suggest those who are donating Halloween items to take to the other thrift store. I guess I can say I do have hang up supporting some religious business.

Let see what else have I done. Wrap up some gifts, worked in my art journal. In a little while I will take up again. And worked in my bullet journal.

Today art movement is REALISM . I'll share three works of CHARLES DAUBIGY. To words I was curious about was Erith, I would of guess it was something to do with docks. But let see what actual ERITH MEANS... and now for OISE.

Today Is Friday, December 20, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I had planned to do my blog post before this. It is almost 6 pm here in the Pacific time zone. The news is on. The other day, Murphy called my attention to the sunlight shining on Roman Nose. Part of the Selkirk Mountain range. The other photo is the Purcell Mountain range. This morning, I opened the slider and took the photo. I like the haze. I'm hooking up the SKY WATCH FRIDAY.

I've been going through things. I put the rings together, and my jewelry is in a box. I've also got a few more things straightened up, like hanging a painting, putting some stuff in my pagan box, and hanging some mix-and-match curtains in the smaller bedroom.

Yesterday, the 19th, I went over to Regis. He was someone I took care of. He and I hit the two local thrift stores. Here are a few things I got. I also took in some items and donated them. Plus, today, I got a few bags of items that I took in before Murphy and I went and had lunch at the senior center. They also had a Christmas gift exchange. I got a cribbage board. I know how to play crib, but Murphy doesn't.

It will be a couple or maybe slightly longer since I took part in FRIDAY FACE OFF. I will be getting my faces off WIKI ART. The faces I chose are from ALGERIA and MOROCC.O. The top face is by HOURIA, NIATI. And the bottom face is done by CHAIBIA TALAL

Today Is Thursday, December 19, 2024: This Is What Is Happened.

Last Thursday, December 12, I participated in THURSDAY THE THIRTEEN. This round, I'm using things that start with the letter "E," which is the second letter in the name Peppylady.

Ďľ Education. I believe our education never ends. I did make it through high school and have some college credits.

Ďľ Eat. I do like to eat, but there are only a few foods I don't care for. Lima beans are dry. The other two are sugar in hot coffee and chocolate-covered cherries. The last two are too sweet and become bitter.

(The Odyssey was done in about 1858- location unknown)

Ďľ Elmira is a town in Idaho. It is not far from where I live. It is the first town across the next county, BONNER COUNTY. The store/cafe once had one of the best hamburgers. Now, as gossip goes, it was bought by some maga person. I haven't been in. At one time, they had steam engine trains. It was a place where they got water and wood to keep the train running.

Ďľ Experience. One of my fifth great-great grandmothers' names was Experience. This is on my paternal side. She was born in Connecticut in 1726 and died in New Hampshire in 1767. Murphy thought the name was someone who could be involved in prostitution. I have never meant anyone named Experience. Her surname was Coit or possibly Colt.

Ďľ Elephant. The only elephant I've seen has been in a zoo or circus. Here is the spiritual meaning of an ELEPHANT

(The Duel After the Masquerade-done is 1859-located at the State Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, Russia)

Ďľ Eel, I think they look creepy. I understand they're pretty tasty. Here is the spiritual meaning of an Eel

Ďľ Electricity. Our electricity costs a little over .8¢ a kilowatt. I read that the average American uses about 800 kilowatts.

Ďľ Extraordinary. I have no extraordinary gifts or talents. But that's okay.

Ďľ Empty. When the empty gas tanks, I know it will cost over $35 to fill them up.

(Phryne before the Areopagus-done in1861-located at the Kunsthalle in Hamburger Germany)

Ďľ Elbow. Rarely does my elbow hurt.

Ďľ Elm. We have an elm tree in the yard. Here is some FOLKLORE. on the Elm tree.

Ďľ espionage. I have never attempted to be a spy.

Yesterday was a lazy day—Tuesday night, both hubby and I slept like crap. A couple of other people I talked to also had an off. It could have something to do with the cosmos.

Wednesday, I went into town and did a few things around. I went to our local bookstore and got books for my granddaughters, who live in Spokane. I also got a $10 gift certificate for tomorrow's gift swap at the senior center.

Today, I had my teeth cleaned and two x-rays. It cost $172.00. Before that, I went to Regis, and he and I went to our local thrift store. I have been deep cleaning our place, and I took a few things and donated them to the animal shelter thrift store. And yes, I got a few items. But still, I'm making headway. The last place was the grocery store, where I got eight items that cost me $37.73. But I got $10 cash back.

Got some eggnog—a half-gallon cost $6.68. Plus, I got just under a pint of dark rum. Cost me $10.45. This is the only eggnog I will get this season. I will toast in winter yule season.

Today, the art movement is ACADEMIC, also known as an academic ism. Today, I will share the works of JEAN LEON GEROME.

Today Is Tuesday, December 17, 202: This Is What Happened.

Murphy and I have been watching The Lone Ranger. It's an old western made before I was born. We went to the senior center for lunch. They serve chicken dumplings, which I'm a fan of. Plus, they had a food giveaway. We got a bag of oranges and Boston Cream pie, plus some other food items.

(Mistress With Fan-location unknown)

Murphy and I washed down the north wall of our kitchen, including the stove and cabinets. We only did the upper ones.

(Game of Billiard-Private Collection)

I made some of my own wrapping paper and wrapped up my granddaughter, who lives in Medford, Oregon. Art supplies! I will take them to the post office and ship them off. Also in the package is a Sawyer model rocket.

Today, the art movement is ORIENTALISM. Which I have yet to hear of. I will be sharing the works of FRANCESCO BEDA.
