Photo Hunt (Square)

Square is this week photo hunt theme. My father had an interested in slang talk, literature and words

I kept thinking of the word square in the slang text “Hey man your so square man” I haven't heard or read or use the term square in any form of slang for ages.

So On the 23^rd of April my friend Qunella and I went to Boundary County Earth Day Fair. I was total surprised how well it went over.

There people in our area who are friendly toward any environmental idea, being Earth friendly there known as “Environmental Wackos”

Put it seems like more and more people are becoming more environmental friendly and those who aren't friendly toward our earth could be possible known as “square”

So I hope all those who attended the Earth day fair is not square

Confession time...When I was working I couldn't be all that Earth friendly because I was all wiped out.

But now I'm trying to be more earth friendly.

I started sorting our garbage somewhat. I sat 4 boxes one is for newspaper and magazines, glasses, plastic and tin cans.

The first and third Wednesday the recycle man from the land field which I still call the dump comes and parks in Safeway parking lot.

But I'm using less prepackage foods. But still there quite a bit of card board which I was surprised

When the weather is nice which seems not much this spring. I hang out laundry to dry. Confession time...I don't hang out whites I have trouble with hanging out my hubby white tighties. 

 

 

Since I'm not working as much I can save on fuel. I decided a deck of cards will decided if I'll be working 2 or 3 days in week.

I know I'll have to work Monday for Murphette and most of the time on Tuesday for Faith.

This is how I will decided if I'll work for Murphette 2 or 3 days a week on Sunday evening I'll get deck of card and pick a card if it comes up with a red card I'll work Monday and one other day.

Then if it comes up black I'll still do my Monday and two other days.

But of course with doctors days can be altered but there less and less.

So with gas at $3.69 a gallon for regular I'm trying to cut down driving.

So cutting down my carbon foot print may make be a wacko but I rather be a wacko then a square.

I'm Forcing Ostra Out of Hiding

If one looks at calendar one would say we are in the spring season. But as one would look out window around would say it heading toward fall.

Truth be known. There a few small sign of spring.

The bluebirds are back and got a nest. Plus I got anther bluebird house which need to be hung up and I know this year we won't get a family of bluebirds, to late in the season.

                                                                               

My crocus are finishing up. I have a few Easter hyacinth but there sure not all that great. Actual there kind of straggly looking.

There a patch of violet hiding among the star of bethlehem stars which in desperate needed of thinning and finding a new home for. I could add them to my patriot flowerbed or give them to a friends. There also chance the name of flower bed to good neighbor to honor people of France or Great Britain but I know there other flags of the world that is same color as ours red, white and blue.

But this Monday the 25^th of April when I was taking care of Murphette I notice there was some dandelion which usual mean a sign for morel but it really to cold. It cloudy and windy but what the heck Daisy and I can take quick look in draw where the cattle are out in summer pasture.

Plus it would get me some walking in.

There was no Morel or I couldn't fine them.

I took a few minute down in draw among the trees to look up sky stuck the camera on top of my head and snap the button.

I planted a short roll in the vegetable garden. Guess What! I'm going to tell you they broke though . There spinach, beets, lettuce, and carrots.

I went over and weeded the strawberry bed. Although I know I didn't do very good job. We need anther hoe and weed popper thing.

In corner by strawberry bed I have rhubarb plant. I notice the ones in town is about two weeks a head of mine.

I'm actual looking forward making rhubarb pie. Canning up some rhubarb and or maybe some victoria sauce.

Photo Hunt (Dusty)

I knew it would be impossible to show what I want to for this week theme of “dusty” there plenty of dust when I clean green-ware.

I haven't yet start to cast ceramics molds. I knew I wouldn't be able to pour any ceramics until May.

But there plenty of dust in our living room so one day I went though and dusted with basic H. I have trouble with cleaning product I have to be careful what and how I use it.

Usual I cease up in my lungs when some product bothers me.

This is what I been working on in ceramics and in hope to market this fall.

I bought this bunny at a thrift store and finished it up. I probably won't be getting this mold.

Photo Hunt (Road)

This week theme for the hunt actual remind me of Willie Nelson song on the On The Road Again Simple it feel like I'm on a different road now.

I don't know if any of you recall when I started to do person care for Donna it would be part time so I would be re building my ceramic shop. But I couldn't!

So I'm on the road again doing ceramic.

I recently fired my kiln but I need to order a part for my small to mid size kiln actual a control dial.

I clean out the poor table of flies.

Plus been slowly starting to a few piece.

I haven't yet been going full force yet down the road doing ceramics. One may say “one needs to drive slow on bumpy road but I know this road leads out to the highway”

I know there no way I could be ready for a spring or summer show. I could be some what ready for a fall or winter show. But I could add inventory to someone else both for a Halloween, Thanksgiving and or Christmas show.

I believe the general rule of thumb is to give them 10% of what you sale. I don't believe I could even make 50% of inventory for anyone.

So I need to figure out or ask what is fair to help on the booth fees.

The main reason I need help getting the pour table ready and I don't expect Murphy to help me. It spring dig at the tree nursery and it would take two people to make up this tank of ceramic slip. I had slip in and it dried up.

So for now what I'll do is hand pour and use the pour table for a drain.

I know this road of ceramic I wouldn't be making the money right off doing personal care. I took a $750 month cut in our income. If one interested in what happen on walking off the job click here

Oh don't worry my other client Murphette if I was on her road for more then 8 hours a week of “obedient” and “submissive” I would quickly find my self sitting on “Burn Out Road”

Walking Off The Job

I quite my client Donna a good week it been closer to two weeks now. I've complain how much I hate my job and would come home and become abusive to Murphy.

I was total drain out and couldn't function after a day with her plus. I had two other client that suffer because I couldn't preform the task properly with them.

Let get right to the morning now. I came to work and pretty much right off the bat she want to know how many appointment that Murphette was going to have on Thursday. I said “I don't know but that the only day that the nutrition is up in Bonners Ferry. But I believe it should be less because her numbers been in a good range.

Then she said “My days are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday” I thought to my self there no compromising or working with this lady and got my stuff and walk out.

Plus I know she was also pissed that I had to Murphette to a doctor in Courd'Alene on Monday the 11^th.

I knew it also bothered her that Faith had a appointment on one of her days.

Ran into Murphy told him I walk out and didn't need to be treat like this. Next day I called up my supervisor told her that I walked out and would not return.

and e-mail her telling her I got hold of my supervisor and was mailing her key to her.

I know things are going to be different I took a $750 cut in pay but I was ruining my insanity and health.

I now feel like I can function more normal now.

Two things I would like to state Statement time..I also thought Donna was less flexible then my two other clients where.

I have desire to wish only good in life and after a while I would even visit with her in a solid 2 months or more.

It would be a extreme break if I would every go back to work take care of her.. Would I every go and see her of course I would

Question time..I wonder if I had some type of nervous break down?

So now I'm doing things small things around the place although Murphy did a really a great job. But still there was small projects that never got done.

The hood of the stove never got cleaned really. So I took out the filter and washed up and clean the outside of the coffee pot, toaster making it all shinny. Confession time...There sure not prefect but a lot better.

I notice when the sun is shining though the kitchen window in morning it looked pretty bad so I got out latter on climb and wash the window outside and in.

Then the next day I did the sliding glass door off the dinning room. It had doggie and kitty art. Now how many of us do art from our nose and mouth.

I don't know when the last time the kitchen curtains been washed.

Took everything out of the fridge and clean it out actual Murphy kept up on it pretty good.

In the past I had a weekly chore list but when I went to work I couldn't hardly do anything. So I been doing things off the weekly chore list but with little bit of oomph behind it.

I clean the light/ceiling fan above the dinning room table plus remove the light covers so next time I do dishes the light covers can be washed.

Then I got a chance to do out door stuff. Like plant some spinach starts, then did a roll of carrots, beets and spinach all in one.

Now the coffee grounds been going around the trees.

A little cleaning in the flowerbeds. No I'm not going to do any extension on those just to keep care of them.

I would like to but in white lilac

But all in all the weather seem to be hold on to cold.

I can focus on my health I can do more raw which I believe is a good thing. Recently I did a green smoothie what I call “Slip on sun shades”

1 cup of water...may want more depending on texture you like your smoothies

1 cumber

1 to 2 celery

1 banana

1 mango

1 20 oz can of pineapple (fresh one is fine but I would use ½ )

3 to 4 romaine leaves.

There was one day I wanted to do a roast beef and the cheapest one was just over $10 buck which I didn't want to pay that price.

So I got a chunk of cod and will make batter fired fish. So we will be having fish and chips for dinner on Wednesday.

Well Thursday I took Murphette in to see the person who helps her on her diet. Her numbers was good and Donna got all bend out of shape how dare there was appointment on one of her days. I tried to explain that I didn't know but I thought the appointment would be farther apart.

Murphette numbers been good so now she doesn't have to see the person who helps with diet for entire year.

Plus this month they got her off two of her medication.

Editor note...Murphette did change her appointment to following week because Donna had cousling appointment on the 7th to the 14th.
Donna behavor was some what like mt dad but when I was younger. No way of explain anything when one was in rage. But I have to say my dad was a lot worse.

Living in North Idaho trees is an easy theme to this week photo hunt.

At one time lumber was king here. But mainly do to political climate it isn't any more. I've briefly posted about it read posting here but this can kind of give you an ideal what happen. Confession time...I been posting way to much on political

but now there quite a few tree nursery.

There also having there ups and downs do to the economy.

Murphy just loves working in nursery, he been doing it for over 20 years. And he earn the nickname of “Captain”

So I decided to take a picture of a bird nest in one of our yard trees.

Photo Hunt (Close)

I was hoping our taxes would been done and I had thought of using that for this week photo hunt theme of close(d) but they weren't.

So today Murphy and I went for a walk close to home. We been more frugal with our money considering gas is almost $3.60 a gallon. Every time or quite few times when I go in a store my jaw drops because of the prices. The other day in harvest foods one couldn't get a can of coffee for under $10.00.

The other day I got notice in mail that there making our progress notes lot harder and more stressful. I showed Murphy and he thought it was bullshit.

I told him this job is driving me nuts and stressing me out. I told him I need to draw a line in sand on how much stress I'm going to let them add to my life.

I told him two more stress factors in a six month period.

Actual I make pretty good wages for area I live in $12.27 an hour for what they call attended care and $10.41 for house keeping. I wish they would round it off to $11.00 and hour.

I guess they cut my wages in attended care to $10.43 and housekeeping down to $8.85. Round off to $9.63 an hour.

This job isn't worth running my health over.

Plus Murphy doesn't want me working any more hours.

I guess I kinda of got off track this little quarts crystal I found walking with Murphy on our residential road. If If I'm stress out any more from my job it sure look like I might be staying closer to home.

Didn't get the rain gauge set up for the month but it seemed rainy.
