God rest Queen. Elizabeth II of England has passed. Now they'll be Charles III who will be United Kingdom king.
I went and had Libby app put on all of the devices I have. Libby is an app that I can check out books and magazine. Plus listen to audios. I'm sure reading books on line will be find. Right now I go to Sandpoint 2 to 4 times a month. I can check out books than. But once I retire I'm not sure how often I will go to Sandpoint. Hopefully things will settle down. But who knows
I been lazy when I comes to my well being. Not saying haven't been taking care of my self both physical and or mentally. I need to get back drinking my water and exercising. It lightly smoky here from the fires. But a wind shift could change that. Last night I could seen the flames from Katka fires. We do have a tread mill.
So I need to pay the house insurance. Plus I should be able to finish up my current read.
Coffee is on and stay safe
I do love being able to read on electronic devices. Checking out books on ereaders is so nice.
ReplyDeleteI have an iPad, a kindle paper white and a nook. I seldom have a printed book.
ReplyDeleteI have cried all morning for Queen Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteCertainty is a sad day for Egland and the world. I doubt we will ever see a leader with such grace, class, dignity and dedication and caring and listening of her people of the country. World leaders need to take note. She was an amazing woman.
ReplyDeleteGood you got the Libby app
ReplyDeleteI hope the fires stay far away from your area, Peppy. The area needs lots of rain obviously!
ReplyDeleteHope the fires stay away from you. The Queen will be missed! Valerie
ReplyDeleteWe are sad about The Queen, she was a unique and special Lady. Enjoy your Libby app, sounds really practical.

All the best Jan
I am still crying over the Queen... All of the news programs are so difficult to watch. - How are you liking Libby? I prefer my books in paper form but it's good to have books on my devices too.
ReplyDeleteFires struck terror in our hearts. We have had some really bad ones in the last few years.
ReplyDeleteAudiobooks are my new favourites. I can continue to crochet or paint or even cook while listening
So very sad about our dear Queen Elizabeth. I have been crying since I heard the news.
Now we have a king. I hope he does his mother proud
I blogged about the late Queen today - the news put me in a bit of shock although it was expected. I hope Charles III can fill her shoes but that will be near impossible for anyone. I don't use the electronics of my local library, but I can take ebooks out of the New York [City] public library as a New York State resident, and I love the convenience. I can also put up to three e-books on reserve. I would be terrified to be able to see a fire, even a distant one. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
