Just Plain Not Doing It

Usual on Wednesday and Friday I take part in a few memes. But snow removal and work makes this girl a dull person, and sore.

Not holding my breath but there been a break in snow fall. I understand we're having anther round of it.
So in bit I will head to work for a while.
Well I got Liz hour back except 15 minutes. So after her social worker I will go up for a while.

Before Liz I'm going to our local library and get a copy of quilt block which I did. I need to make it slightly bigger. I done a few of these block and there suppose to be 12 by 12 inches, well there not. When done there about 8 by 8 inches. Some thing just not right.
So I want something closer to 12 by 12 for my block exchange.
Then one of my friend husband has I believe is brain cancer and basically they had a unlivable place her in North Idaho, and headed down to Oregon to be with some friend of theirs until he passes.
So I been send her cards and little notes. There one of those who don't have computer and some what paranoid that the government is watching them.
It seem like these people flock to North Idaho and I know there all of the world.
My life is so uneventful and I'm not that interesting, so who been interested in keeping an eye on little boring me.
Confession time...I even have trouble at times to figure what to blog about.
Well she use to do some paintings of door way entrance and I also told her about the BROOKLYN ART LIBRARY and gave her there physical address.
And I want to send a few example in her card of what others done in there sketch book project.

I believe my lunch is about done and I need to take one of those diary pills so I can have pizza.

Round One Round Two shortly

Murphy blew snow out of our drive way to and cut trails to all of the entrance. I shovel the steps and landings.
We both got work out and I feel though out my body.
And snow is still coming down. I would guess we have some where between two and three feet.
And I thought we could slide by this winter season with less then 10 inches of snow.

Had plans to go out for dinner on my birthday but weather change things. So we end up having liver and onion. I know must people doesn't care for it.
Potatoes and mind had nothing on it. Murphy put milk and butter on his. Both of us had green beans.
Hopeful before the end of month we can have dinner out.

I miss work and the snow removal for our county came sometime after one afternoon. Also the mail wasn't picked up. Or delivered.
No big deal just paying bills.
I wrote a letter to one of my cousins, and it been a while since I wrote.

At this point I have in 3,820 steps. Our weight lost group cancel and I would be up slightly. So back at it. I been eating little to many nuts and chocolate. I know nuts are good for you.

One more thing and I thought we been watching what we ate. But hubby has to go on METFORMIN his numbers wasn't had they should of been.

Worked a little bit around the smaller bedroom closet and this one is worst of the three I sat forth to do.
I did waste some time glancing though LIBRARY of sketchbook project. I'm still on fence about getting mind digitized.
I did enjoy cruising though the sketch book on line. But I believe there would be more joy of handling books it self.
I found out they take these sketchbook out and not sure how they choose which one goes. But each artist book a lease visit three different places.
I did contact them and it seem mainly they visit place 500,000 or more. Sure there where some smaller cities.
In my contact I suggest visiting some smaller place between 100,000 and 250,000 population.

Not For Real But Can You Please

4320 steps. It been a while since I wore my fit bit zip. A little later on I will record my steps and work on getting into the habit of wearing it.
My weigh in is tomorrow. I been fairly happy that I'm not gaining. Although if there bunch of snow usual our T.O.P.S meeting our canceled

Over on my Facebook page I ask a question and I will ask it here....Question time....What three items would you give to national archives?
One thing I would send them is something from social media, although I'm not sure what. But the other two things I would send is a personal weather almanac, and personal financial record.

In yesterday post about the SKETCH BOOK PROJECT as in yesterday post I wonder why they didn't include visiting communities with population of 100,000 to 250,000 and ask them nicely they could do something for a smaller community. I wouldn't expect them to do some as lavish as they would in San Francisco.
Well I decided my sketch book theme will be "Under the Surface" and it going to have astrology theme from planet Pluto.
Some of I will have to work those brain cells to come up with something.
In one of our local Facebook group I did announcement on the sketchbook project, it would be nice a few locals would do a book.

Did a little clean by the smaller bedroom closet. I mean little clean but two metal boxes with the other metal boxes.
And put up the domino game, and clueless how long that been on floor.

Lacking Not So Fast

Yesterday worked a wee bit on closet, and found a few things I put in it place. A found a sweat shirt that fit and now I'm wearing it, considering it only got up to 12.
And two T shirts went in rag bag.
But looks like a few items need to be send down to Sawyer.
Then it looks like I can tackle the smaller bedroom closet.

This morning Murphy snow blow the drive way and it look like we need a part to blower. Only half of auger is moving.
So it takes a little bit more time to blow out the drive way.

Sunday morning is a day I weigh my self and didn't have goal in mind what the scales should read. It said I was 202.8. But I would like the scales at T.O.P.S to read 201.50 or less.
For lunch we had a tuna fish sandwich, can't remember last time I had one. One thing I like a tuna sandwich is raw onion.
For mayonnaise or salad dressing. I like miracle whip. I know those who don't care for miracle whip, calls it miracle crap. Confession time...I also called miracle crap.

Didn't sleep all that great last night, went to bed with headache focus right between my eyes. Before I woke up I was dreaming.
That I drove into a strange neighbor hood large home. I would guess these homes was well over 3,500 square feet. Some how I took a wrong turn and end up in this strange neighbor hood. Lot of signs in area "No Trespassing" "Gated Neighborhood" "Private Property"
I felt uncomfortable and was quite willing to get out of there. Ask one gentleman with a crew cut. How to get out of the neighborhood and he was more interested interrogating me, then helping me.
I notice there a bridge as I drove maroon colored pick up toward the bridge it was flooded out, by the river.
And Murphy woke me up.

Got a few things to do today, pay the bills and do up my bullet journal.

I just finished up anther tarot card, magician. Not sure if I'll do anther card or something else. But I would like to get anther quilt block done and send off next week.
I decided to take part in SKETCH BOOK PROJECT
There been some exhibited of these SKETCH BOOK, but what bothers me and it just not  this project. But others it seem smaller population area seem that no one interested in visiting or taking part.
We who live in smaller area love our arts.

Beautiful Creative Meme Number Eighteen

It looks like quite bit of snow. I thought there would be a lot more. I kept hearing that a major blizzard.
But it actual less then 3 inches. I like about six to twelve inches from December 17 until the January 8th.
Now the days are getting longer slowly. We just had IMBOLC and I always want to make Bridey doll.
SKY WATCH

Still slowly working on my personal tarot cards. This my version of the three of pentacles. Some might even been tired of me saying. Tarot cards or any divination but it can be a helpful guide if used wisely.
But also what other cards are in the lay out will also have an effect on a reading.
Three positive words for three of pentacles...Building, Teamwork, and Plans
Three negative words for three of pentacles...rubbing other the wrong way, not understanding, lack of skills.

Wednesday Meme Number Twenty Seven

Ms River is once again a host for WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY and it seem I'm some what press for time and I will be only using the top section of words for a story...consternation, tourist, attached, fresh, specific, and memory.
But there others who might use bottom half, all of the words, or some type of mixture of words.

The clouds really was quite dissipated though the town of Birdton but for some odd reason most of community was a little consternation over the hanging of John McNeil a fine citizen which everyone thought.
But he cross a certain line with Yeckles of North side of big hill.

Not sure what went on between the Yeckles and John, it been said John could wapp any one in game of "Grand Trick track" but over years it was known it was best to let the Yeckles win. Simple known as sore losers.
But John know it was ok to win if you stayed in boundaries of what every.

It been while since the town of Birdton had a hanging and over something so trivia. Adds was place in local paper. And a large community event for hanging. The town was going to make money.

So it was decided the hanging would take place on August 9 a Saturday and this was when most people had a lease a pay check and hopeful a few tourist might even join in celebration.

Nothing in memory has taken place quite like this. Yes for capital offence they were public hangings. But nothing for a scrabble between two people.

A large paper up the East River got hold of the story and Dr Hoffland a psychiatrist who wrote several article about people who want to watch or being part of mutilation or someone being torched.

Dr Hoffland packed her car and in hope to find a small place to rent and be come part of this community and learn the specific of why community would want to do a public hanging.

Not long Dr Hoffland found a small two bedroom just out side of town. One bedroom which was a little large she had twin bed and a desk next to that a cabinet where she start to put her research paper from old magazine and paper clippings.

About twice a week Dr Hoffland would ride her bike to one local coffee and pastry shop. In hope to have fresh cup of brew and hope to get chance to learn some thing about the psyche of this town.

It seem all was going ok toward the hanging of John and local high school graduated about 87 people and most of these people moved on.
Crops and such were starting to harvest.

But it came first of August there was were flyers but about town asking for volunteer to build a gallows for hanging.
Maybe it was a little late notice but no takers. They move the hanging to after the fair and this time they even was willing to have a large payout for a lease six people to build the gallows.

Dr talk to local shaman and see what kind of attachment a community like Birdton would let this happen.

Editor Note...Story will continue on next time.

I was hopin about my coffee pal list and over at "Song Bird" there is and hopeful on regular bases they will be WEDNESDAY MEDLEY

It's "Frozen Yogurt day"A cold dessert on what must be a very cold day for most of you reading this today!  Do you enjoy frozen yogurt?  Does it matter what the weather is?  Share with us your favorite flavor and/or topping, please!!....I love diary including yogurt but I have trouble digesting it and even leery about yogurt but I seem to handle it a little better. One my favor one is pear yogurt.

 2.  What food do you know you shouldn't eat but can't help yourself? The diary is one I have horrible results. Maybe the key word for me when it comes to eating is "moderation" or staying in bounds.

3.  If your life was a meal, what kind of meal would it be? A fun not overly sweet or sour.

4.  Do you like spicy food?  Why or why not?  What is the spiciest food you have ever eaten? I like food that has season to eat, nothing flat for this gal. Ginger is one my season I like.

5.  (Most of you know I have been sick with a cold.) What food do you eat or crave when you have a bad cold?.
Chicken noodle soup and home made. But I like to nipple on saltine cracker when not feeling well

6.  Please tell us something random about your week (and maybe it will involve food). It been cold here in North Idaho.

Those Southern Kin

It been a while since I've done any genealogy or family history. I knew by my DNA I had connection to the southeastern part of United States, just how I wasn't sure.
But I have 14 ancestors according to my DNA, and it looks like a little less then half has some type of southern connection.
At peak of slavery in United States only 1.4 percent own slaves, usual it was wealthy plantation owns had slaves.
Then also didn't serve in the confederate army.
The Northern or union army wasn't much better. Even our President Theodore Roosevelt his own dad hired a replacement for his duties in military during the civil war.
Don't want this to lead on political and the arm service is form of slavery.

Like in above have those southern roots. I was digging in to surname of "Brunson" and "Ford" well I learn my third Great Grand Father born Tennessee and served in Civil was as Union soldier.
I guess there bit of curiosity living in a slave own state and when he went out and about in community. How did things go for him and his family.

Ronald Regan and Jimmy Carter was the first president election I voted in. And I listen to our present President state of union address.
I was surprised the first 10 minutes of his speech he didn't hackle my feathers.
But quickly after that he got my feathers hackled.

Weigh in at our local T.O.P.S I was down a little over 3 pounds. Weigh in at 201.50. But the end of March my goal is to weigh 197.25.

Sewed the quilt block as I watch and listen to state of union speech. It sure doesn't look a wreath. And I'm going use the block as part hot pot holder. Had every plan to be part of block exchange.
As I was putting it together I had to wonder on the instruction of putting it together. Mostly the top part.
So next one I see they need to be some simple changes.

Not Quite Perfect Groove

Last few post been about my trip. Now I'm slowly getting back to my life. I've never had a one hundred points of routine.
Today is my full start of work. Last week I only actual got in seven hours. Which I know is going to be pretty pathetic pay check.
But it better them zero.

Haven't yet start to wear my zip bit. It's one of those things I know I need to put it on and kept procrastinate about hooking it to my bra strap. When I got fourth way down Peterson hill and that's when notice I didn't hook on zip bit.

A lease I got back doing my morning stretches. As for eating nothing late at night.

Let see for breakfast eggs, bread, sausage and didn't eat it all. Lunch a beef and bean burrito, and then there dinner steak, coleslaw, and bake potato. I don't do well with dairy so had a little ketchup on my potato.
3 Oreo cookies, chips, and Carmel pop corn.
Might seem like lot in sweets. But honestly it would fill a one cup measure.

Yesterday I start to sew the block together. It going so so, and the triangle corners aren't as coming out smooth as I like.
But still I don't see any reason why it won't be completed by end of month.

Spectacular

Hawaii or lease when I was there had some spectacular sun set. Can you spell "spectacular" But next or if there is next time I want to see more of east side of island. And watch the sun come up.

But two places I want to see is Smithsonian and desert. My hubby for some reason want to see San Diego and Palm Spring California and Yuma Arizona is near by. Both are desert.

Two places I like to check out as tourist is a thrift store and museum of some type. Didn't get a chance to check out full fledged museums.
But I did find this little art shop of CINDY COATS GALLERY and bought a print. The colors what caught my eye.

We did find a thrift store. Interesting find the store had. Got some shark teeth and I would guess I paid a little much. $5.00 a piece.
Not sure when they quite making them, but I bought package of candy cigarettes. seventy five cents.
But what was shocking or a spectacular price was the clothing. Hawaiian tops starting at $30 and let me remind you this was thrift store. Even a few at $50
But I believe Hawaii had some Nice's eggs and with beautiful yokes. Four dollars a dozen.
There were sea turtle on shore. Not sure if it was a male or female but it was in tide pools having a snack.

We got an entire home though AIR B AND B. I like air and B and B. Get entire place your own kitchen and such.
And a lot more room then hotel room. Unless possible if rent a sweet.
Actual we could of used a smaller place. And I wish I had a photo of how steep the drive way was in to the place.
I guess it wouldn't be bad but if you live in colder and snowy climate it could be tricky.

Trying to piece anther quilt block together. It's part of block exchange I'm member of. This one called the wreath and most of photo I've seen it in Christmas colors.
But I want to do it in spring flowers.
It not easy figuring the lay out. Hope it sew together a lot easier.

Weigh this Morning scale and the home one said "200.8" (90.94) and Tuesday at weigh in with T.O.P.S I want to actual weigh about the same.
Goal is going good. End of March I want the scale to read 198 (89.8)
But still big goal is to be 185 (83.5) for this year, end of October.

January Report 2019

Got thought the first month of 2019. End of January I was in Hawaii and thought as I did my report I could share a little on trip as highlights of January.

Hawaii developed or came about different then what the area I live in. Island are from VOLCANO activities from ocean floors.
Our area is mainly because of GLACIER activities.
But I found it easier to walk across granite rocks, compare to volcano.
On top photo is some tide pools and I've found them interesting. The field below had some volcano steam vents. At times there closed to public because of high level sulfur. There were a few open and to me they smelled like top raman.

I didn't take my fit bit on my trip or my lap top. I decided to be an active tourist on island. Confession time...I was afraid I would forget something.
Looks like I did a total of 59,000 for month of January. But look like last half I hardly wore my zip fit bit.

We saw a volcano crater. Different color of lava I found interesting. The lava that came up over the top of mountain and flowed to ocean remind me of big cow poop.

We visit a lava field of once was a battle between two HAWAIIAN tribes. One thing they would of needed to be agile to keep there balance of lava rocks.
But if one fell moving across these rocks they would of cut them self all up. Wonder what type of foot wear they would use. I could see shoes would be worn in no time. Or being barefoot one would have tough feet.
Summer time I would go barefoot and pretty much go any place when I was kid, but no lava.

Goals was to clear out closet. Didn't complete finished out the linen closet. Went though the two boxes in one bedroom. Never start on smaller bedroom closets.
Want to do two drawing a month and two tarot cards drawing. Only completed on drawing and tarot the drawing is 99% done although I still want to possible add music stand. The put some color in it.
The other creative goal was to do two quilt blocks which I'm part of exchange. Only got one out and the other one I'm having a little trouble figuring it out.
And same for hot pot holders. Just doing a smaller version of blocks. One done although I didn't do the backing and will do them factory style.

I could use being gone for an excuse but I was only gone for last part of the month. Maybe I would completed the closet, although I could of gotten a little more done.

Now it time for a little from PERSONALITY INSIGHTS from January 2019.....
You are shrewd and skeptical.
You are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them. You are authority-challenging: you prefer to challenge authority and traditional values to help bring about positive changes. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
Your choices are driven by a desire for discovery.
You are relatively unconcerned with both tradition and taking pleasure in life. You care more about making your own path than following what others have done. And you prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment.
you are more likely...
"Like Musical Movies" I haven't seen that many, maybe I should check a few out. I did enjoy hair spray.
"Be sensitive to ownership cost when purchasing a vehicle....I do call my insurance company and see what the premiums are. And I usual get a large V4 or V6. I've found out though experience a small V4 it cost in repairs and big V8 chews up cash putting in gas.
"Have experience playing music...I can turn on the radio. I did play violin and little bit on trumpet.

Beautiful and Creative Meme Number Seventeen.

Just shortly got back from HAWAII BIG ISLAND and I thought I would take a photos from my trip.

This is first time I shared someone else work other then mine. I was in KONA AREA and found this little artist shop, CINDY COATS GALLERY and decided to purchase the print above.
To me the key word for me picking this is "fun" and I tend to like art work that is colorful, fun, fantasy, and whimsical.
For more artist who take part in "paint party Friday"CLICK HERE

People told me I should watch a sun set in Hawaii. And what surprised me that it seem there wasn't much of DUSK and now I want to watch a sunrise on east side of Island and check out sunrise so I can see what type of DAWN they may or may not have.
