I’m
a fan of Doctor Who. There is an episode of Vincent Van Gogh
. I’m
thinking of renting this episode. The song VINCENT
(STARRY STARRY NIGHT)
makes me tear up.
Murphy and I went to the senior center for lunch. They serve Cheeseburger Soup. Confession time: I was sure about it. I was almost thinking of not going. I’m glad I did. I would give the soup five spoons. Plus, we had garlic bread, green beans, and fries. They also served a mix of fruit. I skipped the fruit.
The local quilt group donated some quilts to the senior center. I chose this one because of the color. I do like color.
We stopped at the store and got $61.77 of groceries. Plus, I got $10 back in cash. There are a few things we do. That is free, or they ask for a donation. I appreciate it when someone or a place offers an active Murphy, and I can afford it. I have no desire to get a free ride in life, even if it’s free! I like to donate a little, even a few bucks. Eighteen eggs cost $5.17.
They had food given away. I did get a cake, so I had a slice. For dinner, I will be eating a leftover burrito. Senior center meals are quite filling. I managed to put the ink cartridge in my date stamper and also general things around the place.
I forgot it is Friday. That means it FACEOFF. I'm sharing some art from ANCIENT ART. Here link about ANCIENT GREECE HISTORY.
I decided to share my “How I Think the World Should Be” writing—Part One, Part Two, and —on Sunday or Monday. I will continue.
If you read earlier, we all put in 3
hours a month. To make the world a better place. We can give three
hours a month to the betterment of humankind.
But there is also
the so-called government. Our election office needs to cost a lot
less. There should be no more political ads. Otherwise, how will we
learn about our candidates and what they stand for?
For presidents
who are in the primary, there should be 12 debates. No more than 12
candidates can be in the primary. If there are more than 12
candidates who put their names in the hat to run for president, their
names will be put in the hat and drawn out. After the 12 debates, all
candidates will ask the same question.
After the 12 debates are
over, people will be able to vote on the same day. The four
candidates who get the most votes will have a run-off for the office
of the president, and political parties will be no more.
There
will be 10 debates for the general election for president, and then
we will all vote on the same day.
Now, the United Senators
will be president. Only eight people from each state will be allowed
to run if there are more than eight candidates. There will be a
random drawing for the eight candidates. There will be ten debates
for the office of the Senate. Voting the same rule as the president.
Only the top 3 candidates can advance to the general election.
Now, for the Representative, it will be pretty much the same as the office listed above. Only six people can run in the primary. If over six people can run, the same thing will happen: a name will be drawn out of the hat. There will be three debates for the primary election, and the top two candidates will go on to the general election.
Suppose a person doesn't vote. It will be fine as in Class A crime.
A
few elective and/or appointed officials do lose track of everyday
people's lives. So there should be a cabinet called "Kitchen
Table." This cabinet will not be appointed. But all people will
have their names in a so-called hat. If your hat is drawn, you will
attend a cabinet meeting for three months. Then, another person's
name will be drawn out of the hat. Other departments worldwide,
federal, state, and local government shall be served for six
weeks.
Once a kitchen table position is served, one wouldn't
serve again.
Class A: The judge would have any of these choices and/or a combination of these: Fine between .50% and 3% of an individual monthly income. Home time between up to 8 days, and/or community service between up to 8 days. Up to 8-page paper writing and/or less 250-page required reading.
At first, I thought of just our law war. Well, there was war way before the time of Christ. I'm not even sure when the first war was fought. People aren't going to stop being biased. There may be some behavior based on prejudice and bias. Confession time...I have a bias toward some religions. But I don't do anything toward this group I will be in. Most of these religions don't even know I have disdain toward them.
We should completely change who will fight our wars. We sent young people whose brain isn't developed. I thought of writing a novel that takes place in the future. There is no money system, and there is peace. But something needs to be done about the world population. I recall my mom saying the war was necessary to control the population. With advancements in medicine, people live longer and survive intense injuries; back to my novel. At a certain age, a person would be given a draft notice, and if they go to this area and a specific location, they will be killed. Painless way. Of course, some won't be killed. If they survive, they will live out their natural life.
Most wars I know have been connected to religion and natural resources. Greed is what war is based on. I suggest getting rid of greed. It is not happening. Young people don't need to fight in our wars. I'm sure that before my family came to America, they fought in wars across the Atlantic. There has always been tribal war. War is coming to an end. We all need to think about the way we fight in war. Those over 95 should go off to war.
...wow, eighteen eggs for $5.17, we buy 5 doz for $13.99!
ReplyDeleteNice face for the face off -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteEggs here are about $10 or more for a dozen free range, we can get cartons of one dozen 600gram, or 700gram, or 800gram and the prices are higher for the bigger eggs.
ReplyDeleteGetting rid of greed is impossible. Mankind had greed from way back when one caveman had a mammoth skin to keep warm and another caveman wanted it.
I remember that Dr Who episode. Is it possible to rent just one episode?
You have solved the problems of government and society, Dora! I vote for you to be Queen of the World!
ReplyDelete"Starry, Starry Night" is one of my all-time favourite songs. I never get tired of hearing it. I've never seen that episode of Doctor Who but it sure looks good! Van Gogh was such a tragic genius.
Wouldn't it be nice to have elections which don't count on who gets the most money from billionaires?
ReplyDeleteMatt Smith as The Doctor … ❤️
ReplyDeleteAnd I’ve always loved that song. And Van Gogh.
Creative and varied post ~ great face for Face Off Friday ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Here 18 pack of eggs is $5.75. I refuse to pay that. I wait until I can get to costo and get 24 eggs, free range for $4.50. Groceries are so expensive here and they are only going to get worse. All of that aside, I love the faces you show this week. Simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like the Vincent song too. Boy, that soup does sound good.
ReplyDeleteDon Mclean sang lovely ballads. I see war as hormonal, fighting over territory and resources or females, like males of all species. When world leaders fight, I see a couple of unfixed male cats yowling and puffing up on a fence. The money spent on elections is a horror for me to think about even, like burning big piles of money, that could be used for good.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Van Gogh episode is one of the good Doctor Who episodes. I put it up there with "Blink" and the one where the Doctor is trapped in a castle for a billion years.
ReplyDeleteI like Dr. Who also, and I remember that Vincent Van Gogh episode. I think I actually saw that plate when I went to Greece. It was amazing that it lasts so long without breaking. Hope you're having a nice weekend. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI've always liked the Vincent song too.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
