Forgot to mention that Murphy, self, and one other lady had a mask on. During Dave service. Like I said before only around 30% is vaccinated.
Assembled the Christmas tree. I believe this will be last year for the tree. I would like to find a taller one. Maybe up to 80 inches( 2.03 meters) But if it doesn't happen this tree will do.
Finish up the last little bit of Christmas shopping. I was clueless what to do with adult. The issue was lack of funds. So the money I would spend on them went to a local non profit in there home town. I figure money is better spend this way. The ones I send $10 was DISHMAN HILL CONSERVANCY, and SPOKANE FOLKLORE SOCIETY. Than this one I'm sending $20 to SECOND HARVEST. Two non profit I will sending $25 to is SPOKANE ART SCHOOL and NO PET LEFT BEHIND.
Both Murphy and I talk to Bart. Told him we will just give him cash to help them out, and they can use it as they need to. So we will send them a cashier check. It for our mental health as well. Plus I send him a link to possible PLACES TO STAY this mainly for the family. But he seems to be in good spirits.
Well it Sunday here in North Idaho...It review of weekly comments. My first comment I will using is from CHRISTINE I believe she lives in Canada. "You appreciate art" Yes I do and in many forms. I feel it one best way to bridge our difference.... Now for second comment I'm going with LIVING WITH NANCY Not sure where she at, although I know it not North America Continent "We stop exchanging Christmas gifts it only benefits the stores. You have tough job." As you see there link above for adults I'm giving to charities that I think they would donate to. I try to purchase and support my local businesses. We have a wonderful little book store, BONNERS BOOKS. Although it wouldn't be true if I said I didn't order or get a few things by big business, like Walmart and Amazon... Last comment and which is third is coming from BASTELMANIA who I believe she is from Germany and her comment "You will have an early start, look after your ankle!" It the day Regis had early doctor appointment. But it seems around this area doctors start any where from 7 on. He has appointment at 8 in morning come tomorrow. I told him he will go to the Library down in Sandpoint, unless roads tells me differently. My ankle is still giving me trouble. Monday I will set up appointment toward latter in week. I hoping time will heal it.
I honestly feel sorry for Regis being so mentally ill. Although he at times just irritate me. Statement time... I surely don't want to be in his head. We all go though rough patch in our life. But being SCHIZOAFFECTIVE DISORDER Plus his relationship with his Dad didn't help. With his support team he will come around. But no one knows how long.
Coffee is on and stay safe
Sometimes the tree you have is the best. We got a new one this year and we really don't care for it. I'm glad Bart has high spirits, that helps lots.
ReplyDeleteYeah adults, what do you get for adults. Sometimes I buy a stupid gadget to send someone. They probably just throw it away and then its money thrown away. But food gifts, my favorite to get and to give.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's better to not do the gifting thing. I like your idea to just give to charity.
ReplyDeleteOh Dora, I love your new blog layout. Your current tree looks like the one I usually put up, but as you read, I didn't put it up this year, since I won't be home much, so I did several little trees. Not much shopping for me, just two good friends, my mother and my post carrier I give a little cheer too. I like to just spend time with family and friends, with good food and drink. I enjoy the holidays but looking around people are nuts. People think the gift giving is more important and too commercial. Looking around it's no wonder people don't enjoy the holidays...everyone seems to get worked up into a frenzy and pressure of the gift giving.
ReplyDeleteSo many have mental issues and need therapy
ReplyDeletemy tree is about the same size as yours, it is a plastic one and has been stashed away in its box for about six years now. I just don't have room to put it up. I buy gift cards for adults to be used wherever they want, when ever they want. I don't have any young ones for gifts anymore, youngest grandchild is 17. Christmas 2022 will be different! I will have six month old twin grandchildren to spoil.
ReplyDeleteI may have told you already that I had to give up giving at Christmas. But we did did make a gift today for a fund-raiser for glioblastoma since Sue's nephew recently died of the disease and his wife has become heavily involved in the society.
ReplyDeleteI like that Tree, perhaps you'll want more than just this Year of it?
ReplyDeleteI like how you handled the gift giving.
ReplyDeleteToo many people these days have mental disorders, and there is not enough help and treatment for them. Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt is a great idea to donate to a charity as you did.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is cute.
