WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
This time DRIFTING THOUGH LIFE IS OUR HOST FOR WORDS ON WEDNESDAY. I will use one section of words. Maybe in January of 2019 I may try to work in all the words. For this round I will be using....noose, moose, soon, omen, shoe, and onion.
The tribe was about ready to harvest there root crop and the crones of tribe was to teach the young ladies how to set up the root crops in to storage. This wasn't one of there best years for a few of the root crops. It seem like the carrots and onions did the best.
Usual when onions and carrots seems for some reason to be the abundance crop. The elders usual meet under the new moon of each quarter and read signs of omenn.
Well the onions usual means moodiness among the people which could be caused by jealousy. Then the carrots is there is a positive solution to every thing in life.
Now what are the elders to do. As soon as the sun rises over Quinnipiac ridge and they will meet once again and have a plan and hope there is positive solution to what may or not happen.
There was slight breeze from off Quinnipiac ridge when sun came of its shoulders. The elders had a special drink of cranberry, mint and caapi. Each member of the seven elders took of there right shoe and lifted the foot towards the mid morning sun.
Then the eldest elder soon got up and got talking stick... Said "This stick will travel as earth does around the sun then each member will bring up two omens they have seen in short while"
Talking stick soon was going around. The third elder said he saw a noose hanging from the tallest Elm tree on the west side of creek.
The eldest elder stood and things became still and he begin to speak of the meaning of the omen.
One self or tribe will be harness in some way and things may drain away.
Still rest of tribe spoke of different omen and things.
Soon it was decided to have a spiritual circle for the moose on the third afternoon of first quarter of moon. In hope this will give tribe and energy for to break the curse of omen and give all people energy of hope and love.
For ABC WEDNESDAY the letter is V and my v word is Vacuum cleaner. This is one of better vacs I've own it was under $100.
But after I sat up the Christmas tree, even it was fake I had to vacuumed up some fake needles of tree.
Coffee is on

Well done, Peppy.
ReplyDeleteDrinking my coffee now:)
I do hope they can turn the omens into a positive direction.
ReplyDeleteHi Peppy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and yes, isn't it funny that even fake Christmas tree needles fall off!! Happened to me, too :)
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and yours!
Too many omens. Ominous.
ReplyDeleteNeat post for V ~ fun ^_^
ReplyDeleteHappy Day to you,

Very cool story, Dora.
ReplyDeleteLots of needles fell from our fake tree this year and I sneezed a LOT while decorating it. Maybe it's time for the tree to retire. I liked your story and especially the name of the ridge. It seems familiar to me, but I can't think why.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you wove the words into your story and the story itself is a good one. I do hope the tribe manages to banish the bad omen at least a bit.
ReplyDeleteI'm not putting up my tree again this year, there is no space for it, but I will have a couple of miniature trees around the place.
t find a good one is a job at itself… recently I had to search again and thankfully I found a very good one, more expensive than ours by the way but we need to because we have 2 large dogs and 4 cats ;-0
ReplyDeleteHave a splendid, ♥-warming ABC-Wednes-day / -week
