ReplyDeleteSacred Samhain to you Dora! Yes, am still around... just taking ages for this broken wrist/hand to get moving again. Can utilise the fingers a little now, but am still keeping 'extraneous typing' to a minimum. Have been reading and watching though!!! YAM xx
That is very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI was immersed in the tarot last night and goal setting. According to today's card I am on point. - Left you a msg on YouTube as well.

ReplyDeleteSorry I had to delete my original comment. I had a hard time editing it, so I just gave up and am starting again. Here goes:
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your talk on Samhain. This Sunday, our church will celebrate the Feast of All Saints at both morning services and a choral evensong. We will gather in the cemetery behind the church at twilight, recite the names of loved ones who have died and light candles in their memory. Then we will enter the church for an ancient liturgy with hymns and readings.
Went to choir practice last night and was a little sorry to see (from the printed service bulletin) that we won't be singing "I Sing a Song of the Saints of God" this year as usual. I suppose the words are starting to sound a little quaint to the iPhone generation, when it speaks of meeting contemporary saints "in school, or in lanes, or at sea, in church, or in trains, or in shops, or at tea." I loved it a few years ago when one of our former priests mentioned how he and his friends had changed a line of this hymn when he was a kid. They changed, "one was a soldier and one was a priest,, and one was killed by a fierce, wild beast" to "one was a soldier and one was a BEAST, and one was killed by a fierce, wild PRIEST"
My latest comment could also do with some editing. The lines that were altered ("one was a soldier, etc) ) refer to contemporary saints.
ReplyDeleteYou've been pretty quiet...everything okay?
ReplyDeleteLovely to see and hear you in your video.
