Change May Or Not Be All What It Cracked Up To Be

I love a challenge. I love change. I love to learn. I love to growing. Oh, by now I bet your getting tired of me tell all of you, what I love.
Now I want to let everyone of you know about an up coming challenge. The A to Z Challenge
which will happen this up coming April.
I was going to link you up to there host but it hosts. But they as most things now has a face book page

I decide to change my email address to doravandenberg21260 at yahoo dot com.
It took me a little while to get this one. I just want plain doravandenberg at yahoo dot come. I guess there anther dora vandenberg some where in galaxy.

I once quote this to Murphette...”A sign of insanity is keeping doing the samething and keep hoping for different results” she just cracked up laughing.
I usual figure it out after about 3 or less screw ups. It simple I need to do something different then what I'm doing.
She had this posted on her facebook page. “Just found out that my oldest daughter and I are losing our home and we don't even have a vehicle to live in much less move our belongings with...not having a good day.”
I'll stop in next Monday or Tuesday to see what really going on.
There a woman and man in back living in shed I know like to cause trouble. So it might not be anything.

When I was young I like to party. Confession time...I had plenty of traffic tickets.
Pretty much early in month I had to pay some ticket I have gotten. Went to clerk office and paid them. Plus my other bills. Had 20 bucks to my name.
Came out of the Spokane Court House. To my amazement I had two flat tire and 20 bucks wasn't going to fix them.
So I left it park and got on the STA
A lease I had a month bus pass.
Rest of the month I lived on Rice and Beans.
So from then on I learn not to spend my entire paycheck when it arives. Start to do my check register differently...If there a depoist of 420.13 send I record 420 and leave off the .13¢
When writing out a check for let say $130.20 I put in $130 not the .20¢
This way I'm always a head of the game.

Woke this morning and we had snow. I'm so ready to garden and check the mail box to see if any new seed catalogs was put in. No such luck.

Little Here and There

One of those day. I just feel very little ambition. It seem strange to me that I'll be leaving here at 2 in afternoon.
Faith has a 2:40 doctor appointment. Her sciatic must be giving her trouble. She hardly every talks about her aliments. Plus she calls the doctor.
I guess once you hit 91. Your entitle to some aches and pain.
Then she still mention about doing her marketing. She has a bit of stubborn streak in her. It keeps her going.

For few minutes I guess I can post about Obama state of union speech. First is way to long. I don't see much changing. He had some great ideal. What needs to change in my Opinion time...Is the income inequality...Yes we need a livable wage. My ideal would be $12.50 an hour.
I guess we all would have our ideal what a livable wage would be.
I know we mention raising the wages up to $10.10 an hour but I bet the house of Representative won't go long with it at all.

I'm at home typing this on open office. I need to run up stairs and eat my lunch. Having toast and cottage cheese with fruit. So I'll continue typing after I get back.

Yes, I'm back. Even had dinner Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato Sandwich.

Took Faith to her doctor and her sciatic is acting up. So the doctor gave some termernal and Valium. She uses a cane and this time I had to assist her a little.
Right after she got done with her doctor appointment. She went straight home and had me do her shopping for her.
She want me to come for while and do some cleaning in her home.

Strange Thing happen. As I was standing in line the pharmacy said “Medicare won't cover that medicine thinking I still worked for Ellie.
I told them no I don't.
When I came in Murphy said she called.
I told Murphy right off the bat. I wouldn't go back out there. He said “I don't blame you” The money isn't all cracked up. A shift with her your ready to go home and get messed up.
Plus I don't do all that well with drunks.
I'd give up my computer connection, turn off my power, and discontent my phone.
Personal she need some heavy duty physicist help.
If I worked for her my blog would be ending "Pour me anther drink"

I add two more items to my bucket list. Is to make cream puffs and enclairs

Check Mate Leaving Politics Out Of It

For today I'm trying to leave out bull crap of people kind. I'll try not to have any religious or political tantrum in this post.

I can't see were great progress was made. But as usual something gets done.

This morning Murphy and I took out a fir tree in our front yard. It was interfering with a pine. Personal I would of taken out the pine. My Husband worked in the tree farms for over 20 years. I'll assume he knows what he is doing.
Ended up with a fence post.
The garden fence post needs to all be replace.

I went and checked out all the spots which we plant things. Never checked out the south side of house. Last year we repaint all the trim. But the siding on south-side needs something done. We're living in a Boise Cascade home from the 70's

All looks well in the gardens. Still lot of things are covered up. Don't see uncovering anything real soon. We still have a few mourns of snow in our yard.
I don't see anything showing in the “good will” flower bed.
Both the “hodgepodge” and “royal sunshine” flower beds there is some bulbs poking though.
Ever time I planted primroses.Usually they rot away. This time they look like they made.

Even clean out anther shelf on shed/barn. Add a few more items to yardsale I want to hold middle or end of March. Found a curtain which Murphy was glad I found but still need to locate the other.

Opinion time...I believe us human are meant to eat meat and non meat, look at our teeth. So our diet is of a Omnivore
Today, I tried a new recipe Amchoor  is something isn't found around here. So I got a fresh mango. Not on sale and paid 98¢ for it. Didn't have any yellow split peas and had green split on hand. Then the other thing I swap in recipe didn't put in fresh tomato add a pint of home can.
Question time how long should one cook things such as legumes? If any read the recipe it says soak the peas for one hour. Confession time...I soak mine over night. Then it reads to simmer it for 45 minutes. Confession time...I simmer it for all most 3 hours and I felt it wasn't done.
But it was taste. Anyhow. Hopeful we don't have to much of explosive (farts) evening.

At This Point I Totally Can't Cuss About It

This is the day I'm to blog about my experience gaining heath insurance. United States has a thing that if your not covered by insurance you need to jump on board.
If your super poor you can get medicaid and if your old you can get medicare. We're not super poor and were not super rich.
So we need to fine insurance though the exchange.
Idaho didn't join the federal program known as “affordable care act” but trying to make a state exchange.
Last night I tried to sign on and end up with malware and me using a string of cuss words. Then this afternoon couldn't get sign in. But no malware so no cuss words.
Opinion time...I'm actual in favor of one-payer system for our health care cost....Those who quilfies for medicaid, one should bring it up to the 21st century....But I don't see anything wrong every house hold paying 5% of there income and 2 ½ % for every medical treatment they may need or want...I don't think much of having a free ride in life, but I don't think anyone should be exploit either.

This afternoon Murphy and I went out to the bench property and did some more cutting on the property line.
One thing being out there one can pick up CBC.
Which both of us enjoy listening to.

Some reason I sleep like crap. I was all up in knots about trying to get on affordable care act and end up with malware on the computer.
So all day I had a dry hang over. Didn't have a drop to drink but I feel like I real tied one on.

The reason I went on bench there wasn't much for me to do. I just stood like dildo holding a stick or waving my stocking cap. Hubby would spot me though the trees and tie flag or string.

Still trying to figure what we want to put in the garden and I believe we will order from Pine-Tree
I also request a catalog from Baker Creek

Usual we only use one seed catalog to order though. Shipping needs to be consider in cost. But there been years we ordered from two. Or split and order with someone.

See I only cuss about trying to up for the affordable care act. Other then that I may slipped out a few bad words here and there. But no string of them.

I little later on I'm going to pour my self a little “peach whiskey” to see if it would help my dry state hang over.

Tomorrow I'm going to try a recipe using split peas and mango. The only thing I had split pea is soup. Clean out anther shelf in shed/barn. Yes, I been though it but I'm organizing it for a yard sale this spring.

Drinks Are On Me.

Something to Chew On

One thing I know we both want to grow some pole beans. Just don't know what type. This morning we went out and cleared brush on the property line, when it log the logger won't be crossing into someone else place.
We cut and haul some poles, made out of lodge pole pine
Actual I would call them whips. Not planning to plant that many hills of pole beans. Under 4 hills or less.
Ground is still frozen.
Notice below my front window we have some bulbs poking though.

We also plan to clean out the chimney when we came home. Total forgot and built a fire in wood stove (furnace) That project is being put off until tomorrow morning.

In the afternoon we going in to see about affordable care act. Then after that I have a dentist appointment. I believe it will be Saturday I'll blog about my experience mainly the Obama care and maybe a little about the dentist. I guess no one want to hear me go off a political rant.

On the way home stopped in at super one, got a chuck roast. “Sure smells good” and few other items. Spend a little over sixteen bucks.

Even had a chance to take my walk. Tuesday I went to my T.O.P.S weigh in and I was dis-pointed at the result of the scale. To many cookies.
Looks like this evening I'm going to take a look at the printer and see if I can figure it out.

Don't Mind Giving My Fellow Being a Helping Hand.

I'm send off $20 to Northen lights For Qwin account. Every month I'm going to try to something for him or his sons. I know twenty don't sound like a lot but it will purchase about 285 kilo watts.
Last summer we gave food to individuals and to the food bank from our garden. We had people thought we were crazy wanting to help someone.
Confession time...I like helping and trying to improve someone life. I know I don't have much but if I can improve someone life a little bit. Well worth it

Sunday Murphy and I went to the human rights celebration here in Bonners Ferry. Every year it seem to be the same day as the play offs.
Guess what the human right task force keep saying there going to change the day. We once again make the same screw up.
It was a very good show and informative considering only 20 people showed up. Which is about average. They were 2 guess speaker one was from our local Idaho Labor and a lady who spoke on Tanf and how it's being abuse by non profits
In the nut shell their getting people to work for $2.00 an hour. Put in there time and get nothing shown they completed the requirements and is still unemployable. Each state is some what different here in Idaho one can get $200 a month from Tanf program and it doesn't matter the size of the families.
Opinion time...I know they're and will always be people who isn't motive to improve there situation and will be in need.
Still it wrong for someone to take advantage of anther person.

Also for Martin Luther king service day
The local student was trying to fill up 3 school bus of food to donate to our local food bank here.
After work I stop in at Harvest foods needed to grab a few items. There were a group of cheer leaders and they gave me a piece of paper listing some items that local food bank may need. This time the list had on non food items such as shampoo, razors, toilet paper and etc.
I got a bottle of dish washing soap, a package of three bars of dial soap, a box of cream of wheat, a bottle of cooking oil, and 2 boxes of chocolate puddings

My friend Qunella wrote this essay and I'm posting it on my blog

There will be peace on earth when individuals matter. Every person who works is worth reasonable working conditions, a living wage, and opportunities to improve their standard of living. Respecting workers rights empowers individuals, families, communities and nations. The urban and rural people who provide the worlds' goods and services are learning to work together in labor unions and trade organization to make sure they are treated fairly by national and international institutions. Families whose working members receives a livable a living wage.
Economizes grow when people have money to spend on food, clothing, home improvements and something special once in a while.
The population of a nation thrives when families are living in urban and rural communities with a stable source of income, nutritious food and clean water, medical services, and educational opportunities for children and adults.
When we value the human rights of every individual, the world will be a better place

Not Sure Why At This Point I Could Careless

Not sure what going on with blogger. I posted yesterday and later on in the day I had bunch of links showed up on my blog post...Links that made no sense to me.. .The word home would be underline that would take you to something not even related to home.

Yesterday I went over to Faith and help look though the essay contest for our human right celebration which will be tomorrow.
The middle and high school has a chance to write an essay and the top one is read at the celebration. This year topic "workers right a human rights issue"
We also offered first time this year, a essay contest for adults. Posted on facebook, and two paper picked it up. Only receive one entry and it was from my friend Qunella.
It was our first time having an adult or open contest to the public...Personal I thought it was all in timing, around holidays. I believe if we put out the word after Christmas we may get more action. Murphy thought why we didn't get any entry was because of the topic.

There a petition going around in Idaho to raise up minimum wage and have it base by consumer price index. But getting something on ballot is pretty hard in Idaho.

Back to essay. It was interesting reading about what the young people thought about the current working situation. I believe most of them came to conclusion that one couldn't support a family on the federal minimum wage of $7.25
Two really stuck in my mind...Thought the free enterprise system would be a fair and just way of sitting wages...Statement time....At one time we had plenty of robber barron and there making a come back.
The other one that sticks in my mind is one that each state should regulate there own wages...Statement time...I know there would be states who would aloud really low or lowest wages and think nothing wrong with exploiting someone.
Question time...I wonder five or seven years down the road these high school young people will be singing the same tune.
I thought most of them had pretty good gasp on the up coming working life.

I made some cream cheese cookies to take to the celebration and I think Tuesday I'll post what what happen at the "Human Right Celebration"

Don't Know What To Put In The Blank

The other day I post on my blog about having big boobs but Mini posting on boobs
A lease she puts humor in it.

I have to say Thursday wasn't much of a day. I've struggle with depression and anxiety, nothing really bad that I can't function. Confession...I rather deal with the depression or the anxiety. The depression seem to have a stronger grip on me.
I did get some things done. Nothing big or even exciting.
Last week I picked up a job application for Huckleberry variety store in Bonners Ferry.
Actual what I would like an afternoon work on Monday and Friday. I have my one client on those days and before noon I'm done.
The part I on application I've have trouble is “Other Skills” Everyone has skills. I never know what to put down.

I shouldn't worry all that much about it. My guess it will pay $7.25 an hour or slightly higher. Idaho has the lowest wages

I've thought even stopping in at local Library an asking for a application. My friend LaWalla knows a lady who works there and she get $8.50 an hour.

Wondering why I'm willing to put up with those crappy wages. My home care company I work for a least pays $11.78 an hours.
Between Murphy social security check and me working we pull in a little over $1,100 a month. We do fine but there no room for error or mishaps in life.

My son Sawyer will soon be done with his aviation mechanical course. It unknown were he and his wife will be heading.
This my be rumors only. There an place in Sandpoint builds airplanes and they pay there mechanic only $9.70 an hour.

The cost of going to work needs to be considered and if the boss is a decent person and treats you with respect or not.

The Bed Isn't Squawing and a Swishing

Murphy and I been remove some more of our birch on the south side of our place. Birch seem to grow best in clumps of three. We don't get much light this time of year, never know when the sun goes down because group of larch trees are blocking it. Can't do any thing about it on someone else property.
The birch is becoming fire wood.Statement time... Heavier then crap. I haul it into our basement using a wheel barrow. Only got some of the butt ends in. Well we doidn't even get all the butt ends done. Murphy  chopped the butts down to size. I believe are wood stove entrance is about 12 inch square. Some day I might measure it. I could only handle up to 4 of the butt pieces in wheel barrow at a time
stacking firewood or chopping firewood, one burns about 7 calories a minute.

When walking on the ground it goes squish...squawking. The ground is soaked to max. Water has no place to go.
Laundry was full so we have no place to put the water down the drains. So we went into town Murphy stay at Laundry mat and it cost 7 bucks to wash our clothes. Neither one of us use a laundry mat and probably toss some money down the ole rat hole. Took the clothes home to dry. I did get everything dried and put away.
As Murphy was in the laundry mat, I went to my T.O.P.S meeting. I now help weigh in people. So eight people weigh in and as group we lost five pounds.
One of my weight lost goals is to be under 200 pounds by the end of February. When I start this goal I was a little over 210 pounds. So to make my goal I need to loose and average of .75 pounds a week.
Today I weigh in at 209 so I lost 1 and quarter pounds. I often wonder if I had boob reduction how much would I be down.
For my shoulder size I could wear a small to medium size blouse. No way could I get it button around my boobs.
We can all wonder about things but never may get an answer

It was the usual Spring day

I know it's not even middle of January. Over the weekend we had high winds and melting snow. No computer for us. The computer here is hooked up to broadband.
After work I stop in at our library and use there computer. I'm member of the boundary county human right task force.
This coming Sunday the 19th we're having a celebration...This year theme is "Workers Rights...A Human Rights Issue"
It's at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry..2 in the afternoon.
I said I would get hold of the radio station in area. Not sure when the computer would be up and going.

The ground is sure soaked having trouble with the wind, the good side of it soon everything will be dried out. The drains are sure having trouble so extra careful how much water is going down the drain.

Bloggers Block So Here Is My Day

One of those evening I have “posting block” I guess I'll post about my day. Not very exciting and which suit me fine.
I been reading and I'm almost finish with an article about the new pope, Francis
Opinion time...This pope is breath of fresh air, but the catholic church is backward in so many ways....They need to let woman or married men into ministry...as they got set up it just makes people pervert.
But him speaking out on income gap is admirable trait.
In that same New Yorker I just finish reading about evolution. Opinion time...species comes and goes so does human. I believe human are always evolving for many reason...Who knows what we will be like in a million years a so. But it usual are own fault not being good Stewards of this planet we graze upon.
One more article I want to read is about “plant intelligences”
I've never read a fantasy store so I went into our local library a check out In the Forests of Serre

Went to work this morning my client husband had growth taken off his back about the size of a mug. Not sure what it is. But he told me that his wife “pees on him” My reply was “oh you two must be into golden showers” Actual it takes quite a bit to embarrasses me, but it can be done.
I hope the growth on his back isn't anything.

I ran up and visit my friend Quenella.

Trying to get my “bucket list” up to 100. I did get one completed I made a souffle with sweet potatoes and it came out. Looking froward try different ones.
I have 20 more things to figure out what I want to try....

The Ole Switchroo Play

As Murphy was getting a hair cut and checking on our property up by the three mile area. The FFA flag some trees that needs to come down, because there to tall and in the flight path. A lease log prices are up.
But after Murphy looked over the property, he got hair cut and picked up some nutrient at Harvest.
As he was in town. I change some drawers around. Put the hot pad next to the range in kitchen. Moved the stuff like sandwich bag, foil, and etc. Also that drawers has in scissors, calculator, pens and etc, but they went into a smaller container.
Wash all the dishrags, dish clothes, and hot pad. Add ammonia as I would bleach to that load. The ammonia cuts out the grease. Kitchen has plenty of grease.

In Bonners Ferry they want to put in an drug, alcohol, mental illness center. Which would be located on Cody Street. A residence area mainly. Not sure were on Cody it will go.
The neighbor are having fits about it.
This is what concern me is there attitude “We don't want those undesirable people” Opinion time....At the corner of Vanburen and Cody is Evil-Gentility (Evangelical Church) there narrow mindedness is undesirable and so is there intolerance.

Hubby Uncle Went To Great Cross Over

Lavern Dinning, 80, Of Bonners Ferry, Passed Monday Dec. 16, 2013 in Coeur d'Alene
Lavern was born in Rush, Colorado to parents Mary Walker and Roland Dinning Sept. 7th 1933. He married XXX on May 3rd 1953 at St. Ann's Catholic Church where they both were members. He and his wife settled down in Bonners Ferry where he fathered his two daughters and his massive garden.

He retired in 1993 after working for the City of Bonners Ferry Water Department. Vern loved the outdoors and often enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and feeding all manner of animals that visited his home. It was in the rivers and woods of Bonners Ferry that he taught his grandchildren to catch frogs and grasshoppers, fish with his home-raised earthworms and to enjoy nature to its fullest.

Quite the rascal, he was always quick with a joke or a goofy observation. He loved stealing noses and food off of plates when you weren't looking. Driving in his truck he would honk and wave at strangers, cows and horses and even street signs to the delight of his young ones.

He had an exceptionally green thumb and a garden that produced preserves, pies and vegetables to no end (with the help of his wife). The pride of his garden was the hazelnut trees that gave him buckets of nuts every fall.

Lavern is survived by his wife XXX and his two daughters: XXX and XXX and Son-in-LawXXX He is also survived by his three grandchildren XXX,XXX< and XXX sister XXX and brother XXX and a large and much loved extended family.

Services will be held at St. Pius Catholic Church in Coeur d' Alene on Sat. Jan. 4, 2014. At 11:00am.

So Saturday Murphy and I drove down to Courd d” Alene.

Then on Sunday Murphy fell part of the birch tree on corner of the place. Southeast corner, it seem that birch doesn't best in clump of three.
Birch holds a fire well in a wood furnace. But yet haven't had much of cold snap this winter.
I got chance to go though the corner of the sewing room and got box of stuff that I'll donate to one of the thrift stores.
Still one box to go though looks like some VCR tapes and other odds and ends.
