Tackle It Tuesday. (under stairs) + Heads or Tail (green)

We pulled all the boxes from out from our basement and I been digging organizing items and purging some of the items either into fill 13, meaning in to the trash can or off to one local thrift store.
I thought of doing a yard sale with the stuff but I want the stuff out of here now.

I’ve found some interesting stuff tuck under the stairs.
Each piece has a story to tell and even raise a few questions that one may ask one self. So later on I’ll share them with you

I played the violin in the school and one song we played was called Green Grass of home:
Well here is the song lyrics: The old home town looks the same,
as I step down from the train
And there to meet me is my mama and my papa
Down the road I look and there runs Mary
Hair of gold and lips like cherries
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home

Yes, they'll all come to meet me,
arms reachin' smiling sweetly
Oh it's good to touch the green, green grass of home

The old house is still standing,
though the paint is cracked and dry
And there's that old oak tree that I used to play on
Yes. down the lane I'll walk with my sweet Mary
Hair of gold and lips like cherries
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home

Yes, they'll all come to meet me,
arms reachin' smiling sweetly
Oh it's good to touch the green, green grass of home

(Spoken)
Then I awake and look around me. Four grey walls surround me.
And I realize I was only dreamin'
There's a guard and there's a sad old padre,
Arm and arm we'll walk at daybreak -
Again I'll touch the green, green grass of home

Yes, they'll all come to see me
In the shade of an old oak tree
As they lay me 'neath the green, green grass of home

Boy there sure a lot of artist who did this song. A guy name of Andrew Caxton

  2. When I was deciding what video to post this week that song actually entered my mind. I took piano lessons when I was younger and this was a song I learned, too. :)

  5. I use to hate having to go through boxes that had been stored under the stairs and such but now I enjoy it because I love finding things I had forgotten about! lol I have tons of stuff piled up in my basement right now waiting for me to make a yard sale this Spring (if it ever arrives)!! I gave tons away to the thrift shop but I thought I may as well try to make a bit of money as well with a yard sale:-)

Green Green Grass of Home has always been my mom's favourite song. One year we had brought her to the restaurant for her birthday and there was a guy playing the piano there...we requested that song for her and she cried all the way through the song!!

Hope you're staying warm! It's snowing here again! Sigh! xox
