Our Little Candy Store on a Side Street

I just finish shopping for my valentine swap partner and in all good intensions I was going to make a chocolate cinnamon mousse cake but I came down with the crude and had to continue working although now I’m feeling almost human.
When I do a swap I like to include something from my own home town we have a lot of lovely shops here in Bonners Ferry and all their owner and the people who runs the shops are such nice and warm people

This late morning I went down on Bonner Street one of the side street. Which there is no parking. There this lovely little gift shop and candy, all their candies are home made!
I decided to purchase my candy for my valentine and I couldn’t decide which ones to buy.
I took one of everything except the longer bars and the lollipops.
I’ve heard this little shop has very good cinnamon rolls and coffee for under $3.00. I’m thinking of calling my friend Quenella up. Her and I’ve been talking about getting some ladies together and going out some afternoon and having a snack. When I got home and thought “why not there.”
I don’t when or who all going but I know I’ll get a few more chocolates!
Honest time…Out of good will or little guilt I bought two of strawberry cream filled chocolates and took them home for Murphy and I do have.
We both agree they were outstanding in taste and texture.

I had to run a few unfun errand like go to the bank and get some money on the credit card Confession time…Opps I spent a little to much on the card So right now I thought the credit card show go into slumber for a while. So we can get it paid off and in control of the credit card.
I swung into grocer store to get a few items.
Murphy and I are the only one I think will be home tonight for dinner. Sawyer is pretty much moved out of the house.
Bart went down to Rathdrum Idaho.
So I’m clueless when he will be getting back.
As I started to look at the section of meats I thought of getting some crab and I even see if there was a possible steak to get.
All in all I end up getting some beef liver. Ok, I know most of you are going “yuk” I actual like fried liver and onions.
When I was growing up the only time I had fried liver and onions when my dad was out of town with the railroad.
So my mother and I would have fried liver and onion, carrots and some type of starch.

  1. The candy sounds yummy. Sometimes I think it would be nice to live in a small town. Then I think about when I lived in a area of TN that only had about 25,000 people and that drove me in insanse. Currently I live in a city with a Population of 182,551. Last year I lived in a city with a population over 400,000.
I'm sure there is a home made candy store somewhere in the area, but I haven't found it.
Oh by the way. I love liver and onions. I like chicken liver too.
    Yummy

  2. I love old fashioned candy stores like that...I wish there was one near here but I have to drive 3 hours to get to the nearest one! Your Valentine swap partner will love it! I loved liver and onions when I was a little girl but I haven't cooked it in so long, now I don't know if I'd still like it! lol
