Quite windy most of the day. Thought it Thought it would rain this afternoon, but no. That's okay. For March we got about 5 inches of rain. And about 1.50 inches of snow. Fairly wet.
I kept track of what we spend our money on. Look like food was the biggest expensive this last month, was food. It was a little over 25% of our income. We spent about $360 on grub. Then everything else was under 5%. Like donation $10, Senior center $45 Gas $45, Medicine $72.
Clean out the lower part china hutch. Lot of older magazine, which I will give to the thrift store. The only possible thing someone could do with these magazine is possible use them for collage work. But I'm trying hard to get all of my so creative supplies. In one certain area. I did keep two older garden magazine. Then there was just papers from eon ago. They were dispose of.
Went to the senior center and had lunch.
Coffee is on.
It's amazing what we hold onto, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGood to declutter
ReplyDeleteGood idea to centralize your art supplies in one area. Makes it easier to find things when you need them!
ReplyDeleteDecluttering is a good idea
ReplyDeleteThe changes aren't good, na?
ReplyDeleteI need to start clearing out junk from my garage. Some of it is seasonal things that I can't store in the flat because there just isn't enough room and a couple of trunks are filled with Christmas decorations that I'm not ready to give away yet. The rest is just "stuff" and I need to do something about it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw Little Free Libraries going up in my suburb, I thought nobody would trust others with their old but much loved books. Wrong! I haven't seen anyone take a book out of the book-box without replacing it with a book from their own home!
ReplyDeleteSo if you leave your garden and craft magazines in a Little Free Library, as long as they are not falling apart, people will love them.
I haven't heard or read the the word grub to describe food for ages. I though it was just an Australian word, but clearly it is not. So, what's for grub?
ReplyDeleteYou are getting things organized!
ReplyDeleteFood is a major expense, and you do pretty well at that cost.
ReplyDelete...and here I thought that King Trumpy Dumpy was going to make food cheap on day one. Did I get this confused?
ReplyDeleteFood prices have certainly gone up. Our electricity cost has gone way up. It's only going to get worse.
ReplyDeleteLots of things will be even more expensive now.
ReplyDeleteSeems Trump bit off his nose to spite his face, also affecting us in the UK where we are being hit with higher and higher fuel and utility and food costs and so it goes on - hope you will ride the storm. Betty
ReplyDeleteFood is probably our largest expense (other than my expensive travel habit.)
ReplyDeleteEverything is more expensive now.
ReplyDeleteI have moved so often in the past 25 years I have no paper left. My son has my books. Everything else is digitized and stored elx=ctronically with two backups, cloud and portable hard drive.
ReplyDeleteMy mom saved every paper that came into the house. They may be in the attic. I am not looking.
I am in the midst of decluttering. What a job it can be! Good luck. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteIt seems all prices are going up!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
It's so satisfying to clear out and simplify spaces! πͺ I love that you're giving the magazines to a thrift store where they might be reused for creative projects like collages π¨. It's amazing how much lighter a space feels once unnecessary papers and clutter are gone βοΈ. Keeping the two older garden magazines sounds like a smart choice for inspiration when youβre in the gardening mood πΏ. Great job getting everything in one area for easier access to your supplies! π
