I'm making up a shopping list for Walmart. Murphy and I are planning to go to Sandpoint on Saturday or Sunday.
Lolita and I were in Sandpoint today. We went to a watercolor gathering. Today's topic was MINEITURE painting. Lolita and I did the same piece: an ocean scene. I'm generally not a fan of ocean scenes, but this one challenged me.
Not long ago, I heard of Inktober. I have only played around with ink once or twice. But if there was Inktober, I was guessing there were other art challenges out there. Here are two of them: art and art challenge.
I just talked to Sawyer, wondering if he felt the earthquake in Northern California. He was only about 25 miles from California. He didn't fill anything.
Well, Murphy and I got the living wall and ceiling washed. My guess is the first of next week. I like to take everything out of the china hutch and give it a good cleaning.
Today's art movement is the late Renaissance, or mannerism. So far, I haven't encountered any female artists from that time period. Looking a little, I did find female artists from this time period. But the artists I'm featuring are DOMENICO BECCAFUMI and ROSSO FIORENTINO.
Coffee is on.
Art history is fascinating
ReplyDeleteHistory is fascinating.
DeleteWalmart fascinates me. We have nothing like that here. I remember seeing funny photos of how some Walmart customers dress. I hope you and Murphy don't dress like that Dora.
ReplyDeleteNo, we don't like that on walmart photo. We see on the net.
DeleteLike Andrew I have also seen funny photos of how some people dress at Walmart, but I'm guessing most people just dress normally. I've heard their stores are huge enough to get lost in. I don't much like today's Art.
ReplyDeleteI don't need any of my so called private part hanging out.
DeleteNice art again.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI've never been inside a Walmart. There isn't one anywhere near where I live. You do seem to be enjoying art and art classes.
ReplyDeleteI dislike Walmart but I have no choice but shop there sometimes.
ReplyDeleteLot of time we get force into shopping at places we don't care for.
DeleteWe learn daily.
ReplyDeleteI do like the renaissance art. But I think they were sexist in art world in those days. It was hard for a woman to try and be recognised
ReplyDeleteI especially like that the chubby ladies were the hight of beauty. I would of been very popular in that time lol
I'm glad Sawyer wasn't impacted by the earthquake. I like the art today, very classy.
ReplyDeleteI do like sea images. I imagine they're easier to paint than some. Although, I can't paint worth a darn, so I may be way off base.
ReplyDeleteI never got into art history or painting but both are popular among seniors where I live. One of my husband's cousins has become an accomplished painter, in my opinion. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
