Welcome to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: Hurt So Bad (1980)
Unfamiliar with this week's song? Hear it HERE. Click here to see others who PLAYED.
1. Do you have any aches or pains this morning? Most morning I hurt some place on my body.
2. In this song, Linda Ronstadt complains that her ex doesn't get what she's going through. Have you recently felt misunderstood? Yes. But the other side I have misunderstood others.'
3. Now let's put a positive spin on it: Is there someone in your life who gets you completely? Can't think of anyone. I don't if I would really want that.
4. Linda recorded a best-selling album in Spanish, and has also performed in French, German and Italian. How many languages do you speak? Just English.
5. Linda once dated George Lucas of Star Wars fame. Who is your favorite Star Wars character? Don't know.
6. Steve Martin has spoken affectionately about Linda and their romance in the 1970s. Are you a Steve Martin fan? I like all of Steve Martin movies and such.
7. Linda worked consistently and successfully with record producer Peter Asher throughout the 70s and 80s. Tell us about someone you enjoyed working beside. I usual worked alone. Went help people in there home. I only had one client I didn't care for.
8. In 1980, when this song was popular, People magazine named author Stephen King one of the year's most intriguing people. Have you read any of his books or short stories? I haven't read anything by Stephen King.
9. Random question: Looking back on last week, would you describe it as exciting or boring? In general I would say my life is uneventful.
The living room wall and ceiling were washed down. Now, we've moved on to the kitchen and dining area.
I did a little more clearing and organizing in the guest room. I found a few items that need to go to the thrift store, but I'm sure I can find more.
It's totally bizarre! Last year, quite a few of our Christmas Tree ornaments went missing. We put our Christmas items in one of the two totes. Well, for strange reasons, quite a few of the ornaments went missing. I thought I might have accidentally put the ornament in the fall/Halloween decoration tote.
I have been working on my embroidery. Compared to others, I'm moving faster on this quilt block.
I'm done with "Western Renaissance" art. Today, I will be sharing works of the NORTHERN RENAISSANCE. Most of the Renaissance work I post usually came from Italy and a few other southern European countries. Some of these places no longer exist. Now, I will share from the art movement NORTHERN RENAISSANCE.
Let's look at these four artists from this time period. PETRUS CHRISTUS. DIERIC BOUTS, HUGO VANDERGOES, and JAN JOEST.
...take care and be well soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you.

ReplyDeleteI did forget that Steve Martin played the banjo.

Delete#5: I don't know enough about Star Wars to have a favorite either. Glad to see I'm not the only one.
ReplyDeleteI only seen the first star wars.
DeleteI like your answers. And the art.
ReplyDeleteI been enjoying posting about the art.
DeleteAging is definitely a strange occurrence. I guess it is better than NOT aging. The aches and pains that come with it are bitter but better. Love you 9 yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI plan to live quite a few more years. God/dess willing.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to read the questions and answers.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the art too.
All the best Jan
I hope your Christmas decorations turn up.
ReplyDelete#7 Tell us about someone you enjoyed working beside. Kim and Fred from back in my home building days. Kim was fun and a great team player - we would help each other get things done. Fred was a little bit crazy and made the days fly by.
