Today Is Monday, November 18, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I was asked a question: Why list eight things when you're planning to only complete four? It's simple; it goes back to MURPHY LAW. If I only listed four, I figure two will happen. Some small things will happen, and I won't be able to complete all the tasks. For example, Hubby and I went over to pick up his medication and arrived during lunchtime. Now I know they're closed from 12:30 to 1:30.

I put together an art supply bag for the granddaughter's Christmas gift. I got the vehicle insurance bill today. It's just under $550 for two rigs for six months. I'm going to talk to the agency and see if I can get it marked down. We did that for our home insurance. We got about $300 taken off the house insurance.

Turn in the paperwork for energy assistance. I'm not sure how much we will get. One of the ladies eats at the senior center. I'm not sure what her income is. The only thing I know is that it is under $1,000 a month. And she mentioned she got $400 for energy. Usually, energy assistance will last us four or six months.

The other thing I did was take our paperwork over to the health clinic. They work on a sliding scale. For us, our office calls will be $35. Murphy and I hardly go to the doctor. They will be taking $185 for our social security in 2025. I want to talk to one of their social workers to get the $185 waived or discounted. Right now, I get $509 a month. I should get a $12 monthly raise in January of next year. So that puts me at $521, and they will take $185 out of my social security check. So that leaves $336. Murphy's check is more than mine. He will be getting 1,080 in 2025. And they will take out $185 from his Medicare check. So, our income for 2025 will be $1070. I doubt that we will benefit from any Trump programs.

On the first and third Wednesday of each month. I go to watercolor class. I'm so thankful. Our art teacher, Brie. Don't charge. At times, $20 would be hard. She does have a donation jar. Usually, I put in $3.00. The money is given to the senior center. Well, Brie's husband is in the hospital, and it looks like he is getting out on Wednesday. Also, Greta has a Saturday class. She also doesn't charge. But still, I try to put $3.00 in a donation jar. She also furnished the supplies. Not long ago, I went through my acrylic paint. I had way too many. I wouldn't been able to use them up. They would have just gone to waste. I kept some that I will use up.

I learn about a new art medium,  TEMPRA STICKS.

Coffee is on.

  9. I never make to-do lists anymore, I just do stuff until I feel tired or until everything is done that's important, then I stop for the day.
