Today Is Friday, May 5, 2024: This Is What Happened.

Hubby watching Gunsmoke. We went to town and put gas in pick up. A lot of people were getting gas. We paid $3.69 a gallon. We got Hubby medication, not quite $20, and laundry soap. I'm not sure what the soap cost. I know it wasn't free.
And the last place we stopped was the senior center. They are still having their food giveaway. Murphy and I got two bags of food.
I got a letter from the state tax commissioner. I must go in on Monday or Tuesday to see the accountant who does our taxes. There is a mix-up.
Went to physical therapy. Looks like one more week.

Coffee is on.

  4. I remember Gunsmoke. I guess you mean he is watching the original Gunsmoke. 4.5 litres to the gallon, we are paying AU$9 for a gallon of petrol. It is even more in England and Europe.

  7. A tax mix-up doesn't sound good, best of luck with that. I'm glad to hear that you got some grocery items through the Senior Center.

  11. I'm jealous. Our gas was about $4.40ish last time I checked. (I haven't gone anywhere this last week, so I haven't had to fill up.)

  13. We just had a new report saying fuel is going to go up
Our government taxes fuel which adds almost a dollar to the price.
Thank goodness I don’t have to drive a lot or very far. Or I might not be able to afford to keep my car

  14. I've not watched Gunsmoke in a long time; but used to watch it when I visited my Dad. He would watch one show after another. On our drive back from Hilton Head we noticed how much gas prices varied by location. South Carolina seemed to have the cheapest in route, and than again when we arrived back in Ohio. I don't remember what it was but remember hubby talking about it when he filled up. Good luck with the accountant. Hope they get things straighten out for you.
