Rain, most of the day. Watch a YouTube video on ANDY WARHOL.
Statement time...I just want this election season to be over with. I figure if Biden wins, Trump and his minions will cause all sorts of chaos. If Trump wins and those who aren't part of his cult will be pretty much be shit out of luck.
I don't even want to think down the rest of our ballot.
I've been cutting out blank "Artist Trading Cards." These were made from the dividers in liquor boxes. Our income has dropped since I retired. Plus, I'm recycling, repurposing, and reusing.
Went to Artist Insight. And made some folding types of books. EXPLODING BOOK. Now I need to the inside of them.
I have yet to see a five hundred dollar bill. The largest bill printed in the United States is $100,000. But as I understand it, it is illegal for a citizen to own one.
Why would it be illegal for a citizen to own a $100,000 bill? Why even make them if people can't have them? I like the exploding books idea.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why a person to own 100,000 bill. I would guess at one time the our treasury use them. Before computers.
DeleteIt’s going to be a rough election, no matter what
ReplyDeleteThat's also my thoughts as well.
DeleteAndy Warhol was a weird guy but an acknowledged pop artist. Fascinating in many ways.
ReplyDeleteHe was different. But different can be fascinating.
DeleteIndia too has elections coming up. It's in seven phases from April 19 to June 1. Votes will be counted on June 4.
ReplyDeleteWe won't know until November.
DeleteElection season feels endless in the U. S. That’s how this outside observer sees it anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt does to me, as well.
Delete...A few versions of the $500 bill were printed over the years and was last printed in 1945. Featuring a portrait of President William McKinley on the front, this bill was officially discontinued in 1969, along with other high-denomination bills, making it scarce.
ReplyDeleteIt been a while since I had a $100 bill, let lone a $50.
DeleteI don't want to hear anything about politics anymore. I thought to myself I won't even vote this year, as a useless protest. But I promise to vote because Trump is a menace to anything truthful, good, honest, sincere, intelligent, or democratic.
ReplyDeleteI limited my self on news.
DeleteI cut my art cards using cardstock
ReplyDeleteI use all sort of things to make my art cards. As long as it heavy enough.
DeleteTrump is openly talking about authoritarianism and they clap and cheer. Frightening times. I like the idea of using the box cardboard for making cards. Good idea,
ReplyDeleteI can't figure why some has no issue leaving under an authoritarian leader.
DeleteI've been burned out on the election since before the year started. I don't think they print anything over an $100 bill anymore. The bigger bills were used for things like bank transfers back in the days before computers. It's not necessary anymore, so I don't believe they make them. I read this someplace a long time ago, so I may misremember the facts.
ReplyDeleteI am so burnt out on the election and I know many other are. I keep thinking this isn't going to end well regardless of who wins. But then I think of Vice Admiral Stockdale's principle: he was a POW in the Vietnam War and was treated horribly. His philosophy for survival “You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end — which you can never afford to lose — with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.” In other words accept the reality of your situation but never give up.
