Lazy day for me, which was planned.
Sometimes we need to kick back. Most of the upcoming week. I plan to
lessen my load for part of the following week, like taking a rest.
The book Exodus says, “God Created Heaven and Earth in six days and
rested on the Seventh day” I wonder who rested on the seventh day,
God or us Beings. Plus, it will be 95 plus degrees this upcoming
week.
Went to town to get a few groceries and gas today. Add a
few more books to my good read that I like to read. I won’t get to
all the books on my reading list. I don’t think I will be doing
much reading this week, or, let's say, hardly. I will focus on my
embroidery.
Spend a little time working on family history. I
have been working on the Surname of “Shirley,” my maternal
great-grandfather. I did find Viola Shirley, who is my mom's first
cousin. Her husband was Melvin McGuire, and they had a girl and a
boy. Shirley is more question than answer.
Coffee is on, and
stay safe.
Have a good week.
ReplyDelete...95 plus is way too hot for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm at my dad's family reunion and am so confused about who is who.
ReplyDeleteYou could maybe set aside a day to do nothing but reading, like a day for embroidery, a day for art, a day for shopping and so on.
ReplyDeleteI know almost nothing about my mother's family.
ReplyDeleteTogether with a distsnt cousin I researched the family tree of my mother, and it was fascinating!. Valerie
ReplyDeleteAh ~ yes ~ we all need 'interludes' ~ there are rests in music for a reason ~ Xo

It's good to rest, especially when it's so hot outside. Enjoy your time.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we all need a lazy day to recharge our batteries.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Isn't it sad that we could never possibly read all the books on our reading lists? Even if we constantly read all the time, but who can do that? Hope you're having a great week.
ReplyDeleteHope Shirley reveals her secrets to you soon.
