I'm actually typing this for two days, Wednesday and Thursday. When this is actually posted. I will be on my way down to Washington. Regis is going over to Moses Lake to see a friend. I did promise him that I would take him to Spokane. He has a friend in Moses Lake who went to high school with him.
This is my first time taking part in MY CORNER OF THE WORLD., And I sense we're on the subject of the world. Today's post will also fit into WHERE IN THE WORLD.
I last visited our local fair two years ago. The main reason was because of Covid. People here didn't take it seriously. Extremely low mask rate. For today I will leave it at that. I enjoy going to county fairs.
I like to look at all the items.
Garden and flowers.
Animals.
Arts and crafts.
Can goods.
But what I don't care for is the religious and political stuff. I took no photos. But I thought I would share just two photos I took.
One thing our fair doesn't have is a carnival.
Took two photos of the sky, one from our back deck and the other from the fairgrounds. Which I'm linking to SKYWATCH.
...next week, we are going the a county fair. I love to the see the 4H items. Safe travels to you.
ReplyDeleteI was in 4H when I was young. A great program.

ReplyDeleteI did have a good time.
DeleteI haven't been to a county fair for years, and haven't been to our state fair since 2019. It is so enjoyable, though. I enjoyed your sky picture, too. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI haven't been North Idaho state fair. It only 60 miles away.
DeleteMe too, I've not been to a county fair in about 30 years. I'm okay with that though. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI like going to fairs also and looking at all the crafty type things that people entered. Last year at the Tulsa State Fair, they did away with all that and just posted a list of the people who won ribbons.
ReplyDeleteWho wants to read a list!! I want to look at what they did to get on the list.
I used to enjoy going to fairs when I was much younger and not yet married. After that I was too busy and also because I don't drive I had no way of going.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful this fair is and you brought great photos of it with me. That was worth a trip.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, hug Elke
I wonder what that black and white creature is. Rabbit?

Country fairs are fun. I haven't been to one since before covid either, but you've inspired me that maybe this year I should go to one. Happy weekend. hugs-Erika
