Read some blogs before I went to work. Only started work this afternoon. I had to take Regis for his acupuncture and his toradol injection.
Then he had an old stationary bike I hauled up to the dump. Thursday will likely be my last day. Got my finger crossed.
Plus, before I went to work. I had fun in an art journal.
I was working on some family history; 1st cousin 3 times removed. I learn from my cousin, Della.
Her husband, George Moore, was part of the ORPHAN TRAINS. And hope to learn more.
Coffee is on, and stay safe.
Fingers crossed for Thursday.
ReplyDeleteIt is rather good how you have planned the easing of your hours before going into retirement.
ReplyDeleteThe poor children they were sent like cattle to unknown places and who knows if they were all treated well !

The roommates just watched a movie where the orphan train set off the plot. Harrowing stuff, although the movie was more Hallmark-style, so no one got too hurt.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed tomorrow is your last day. The orphan train sounds like something to learn about. I know my mom & brother were placed for a while. My grandparents were not able to care for them. It was after great depression. The fami!y they were placed with were good to them. They were poor & these people fed them & even had toys to play with. After a few years, their parents did get them. It was a blessing really.
ReplyDeleteThe orphan trains was interesting to read about. Only one more day, WOW!
ReplyDeleteYay for Thursday.
