It has been some time since I took part in Friday Words. For more info, stop over at RIVER. And I will be using the second choice of words.
Which are leap, candle, overview, officer, pain, and wilderness.
Penny lived out in the wilderness and had a small farm. No large animals such as cattle, hogs, or horses. She couldn't afford them. But she had to sell her handiwork and pick up odd jobs around. So her retirement check just needed to go further.
The pain in her left shoulder has given her trouble off and on since she got hurt running cross country in her sophomore year in high school. She leaped over a log and caught her left leg. Down she went. Hitting the ground on her left shoulder.
So one thing Penny made was candles. She sold them at the local village market, and she used them. Practicing her white magic. See, Penny was a witch.
But one time. Some person, although still determining who. Called the police and reported Penny for being a witch. An actual officer came out and knocked on her door. And talk to Penny for a short while. Since there were no body parts. He figured everything was ok and left.
The overview of Penny was always good. She was a very kind person.
It has been a while since I shared any art. Work gets in the way. That life. On Wednesday evening class. We did some abstract art. I asked what abstract art is, and she had to look it up. But disagree with the explanation that pops up.
Statement time...There has been a time I looked at the abstract, and I didn't get it.
Once I learned where the word abstract came from. I start to UNDERSTAND
I'm linking my art to GILLENA
When I came home yesterday evening, the sun was setting, and I thought the hole in clouds and light showing through was fascinating. So I tried to get a photo of Venus and Jupiter lined up. But I thought it would be an excellent SKY WATCH photo.
Today I stopped in a local animal thrift store and found a suitcase to put my art supplies in. What needs to fit in. Can go back to the thrift store. I need to get some individual containers to sort art supplies out. It goes into a suitcase.
Work went good this week. March is my last month of working four days a week. Come April, I will be taking two days off. Wednesday and Friday. My friend Lolita is going to play The PLAY THAT GOES WRONG on Saturday afternoon.
Coffee is on, and stay safe.
I like your abstract art and your skywatch photo!
ReplyDeleteIt is a compelling light through the clouds. Thanks for sharing your world.
ReplyDeleteYay, you found a suitcase. Finally. I was wondering if one was going to turn up.
ReplyDeleteGood use of the words and nice art
ReplyDeleteI like your story, thank you for joining in. I also like your photo with the light shining through that gap in the clouds.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I've seen abstract art or not that I've enjoyed. When is that vacation of yours, that you posted about awhile back, although you were not sure then which of a few places you would go.
ReplyDeleteI like your art. I'm one of those people that must do something creative everyday.
ReplyDeleteLuv your abstract art. I view Abstract Art as a painting where a lot of detail is left out abd a lit of feeling is kept in. Thats my personal take on the matter. Thank you for linkibg to Art For Fun Friday
ReplyDeleteMuch💜love
...I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteLovely art, and I hope Penny can live peacefully selling her candles and handiwork!
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset and a lovely setting you took the picture in. I wonder how much of the story is autobiographical - I feel good things are ahead for your upcoming retirement. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
