Sunday I will let you all know how it went when I told Regis about my easing into retirement plan. One of his social worker will be there today. So since he has cognitive issue when it comes to time. I will be going to a part time plan starting, Wednesday January 4th. Which is in five weeks and five days.
We were going down to Spokane for Thanksgiving. Bart and Molly girls came down with some bug. Granddaughter has a low grade fever. So we will try to go down on Saturday December 3. So it just Murphy and I. We're roasting a chicken. Couldn't fine a pumpkin pie. So we're having a Strawberry Rhubarb pie.
Well I was shocked on my blood labs I was lacking on Vitamin d. It was quite low. They gave me prescription of 50,000 ICU. Which I take 2 times a week, for 6 weeks. And than they want me to go on 1,000 ICU for maintenance.
So my blood pressure is up a bit. Not high enough to take trip to emergency. But I heard not the correct level of d, could throw off blood pressure.
Got a few things for Christmas. I'm waiting for a book that I ordered from our local book store. Got all of Maud toys. And her sister Bree toys.
Today is my daughter in law birthday, she 36 today.
One thing I like to accomplish tomorrow is send the advent calendar down to Medford.
Today artist is DIETER ASCHENBORN who is from NAMIBIA
Coffee is on and stay safe
How you had a lovely Thanksgiving, Peppy and that the family gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteI take D daily although I probably don’t need to in summer. Still, I don’t spend much time outdoors, so it is probably good insurance to do so.
ReplyDelete...life is all about changes!
ReplyDeleteChicken and strawberry-rhubarb pie sounds like a great Thanksgiving meal to me!
ReplyDeleteTime to think of Christmas
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad your Thanksgiving plans were disrupted but I hope you enjoy what you were able to have. Chicken and pie. Good luck with the last week of NaNoWriMo and planning out your retirement. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI strongly recommend retirement. Cuts the anxiety tremendously.
ReplyDeleteSometimes a Thanksgiving of just you is nice. I guess you don't get a lot of sun.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about those with the bug and fever, I hope everyone is fully well again very soon. I have high blood pressure because I eat too much sweet, don't drink enough water and don't do enough walking, but every time I have a blood test the nurse says my D levels are excellent. I can get low on iron sometimes when I don't eat enough red meat.
ReplyDeleteI'd be counting the days to retirement too!! I'm glad I did years ago...it saves on so many stressors.
ReplyDeleteHope everyone is feeling better now. Looking forward to Christmas.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like you retirement plans are moving forward and that first step is a good one.
ReplyDeleteChicken followed by strawberry rhubarb pie does sound delicious.
ReplyDeleteI've started writing some Christmas cards ... it's getting quite near now.
All the best Jan
There are so many bugs out there. Hope the family gets better soon so you can visit.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a comforting and delicious meal.
