Today is NATIONAL READ BOOK DAY I either take a book or craft project when I'm at a doctor office, mainly with clients. Question time....What are you reading now...I'm still reading “The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian. I'm pass the half way mark on this book. I have no clue what I will be reading next.
More from CNN on our LIBRARY, it doesn't look good for our library. At this point and what I have heard they can't find insurance for it. Well look like other counties here in Idaho is having trouble getting insurance coverage.
More tomorrow or the next day.
Coffee is on and stay save
That's terrible about your library. I really hope it doesn't go away. It's such an important resource.
ReplyDeleteI can never remember the titles of the books I read. Or the authors. And I'll flit about from one book to the next, not necessarily finishing one before I pick up another. (I'll finish them all eventually. Just not necessarily before starting another.) A strange habit, I admit. I've only been reading this way since I got an ereader.
...at the moment I'm reading your post!
ReplyDeleteTom is funny
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading a kindle book called "In a Jam", also reading "Always Remember Your Name" about two sisters In the Auschwitz camp of world war 2; "The Viking Heart" and "Hidden Valley Road".
ReplyDeleteNational Read a Book Day is a good concept. With smart phones, many kids are not reading enough. Sorry to hear abt your library. I read using Kindle so i can easily carry 4 books or even more. Reading "Educated" by Tara Westover. I find it sad but it was uplifting that she is a survivor and attended College inspite of all the challenges.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading, The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks. He's one of my favorite authors.
ReplyDeleteHope you can save yyour library! Valerie
ReplyDeleteTom :-)
ReplyDeleteSad about your library.
I just finished a book about a Braunschweig-survivor from WWII and found so many books in the street, I cannot decide! Real old books, too!
It doesn’t sound good for the library. Hope it is rescued!
ReplyDeleteAfter I ran out of C.J. Box Joe Pickett series, because my friend, who supplied them died, I started my Hemingway short stories. It's dreadfully good. I love most of Hemingway but not all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrible thing that some of the citizens of your area may be suceeding in killing their library. It may die from lack of insurance, for all things! We must take this to heart. You have fought the good fight, regardless. (Right now, I am reading "The School for Good Mothers"). Scary times. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
