Glad the weekend is here. Work were on me. Although my client actual are quite kind to me. When I came from work on Friday, my upper left heal ache. Don't worry the ache and such moves about in my body. I guess it get bored staying in one place.
One thing can you tell the difference between a Washington and Idaho clouds.
I'm thinking only lightly on it. I might start going part time or decrease my hours starting in October. Murphy has a few medical appointment this month. I few question I want to ask doctor. I don't think he hiding anything. People forget to mention things to there doctor. Like the last time he had an x-ray on his back. Ages since his herniated disk was looked at. Although it doesn't need to be done immediately. We got to pay the part of what Medicare doesn't pick up for his colonoscopy. I think Medicare covers a general colonoscopy. But the medical center has there cost, anesthesiologist and labs. I don't recall the cost. But it didn't see all that bad. I rather have his back re-look at after the colonoscopy is paid for.
Talking about work and retirement. Rumor has it that us state workers. My check comes from medicaid . They set our wages and it send to home care agency. To the best of what I can find the agency get about $18 an hour. Agency I work for pay us $14.99 and twice year we get bonus. It look like the average wage is around $12 and hour, for caregiver But if I don't get a decent pay increase. I'm starting to consider put my resignation in October. But in my own mind I'm not sure wage increase should be. Not last one, but the time before our wage increase was laughable. If I recall right we didn't get Nickle increase.
Fast food joint pays $17 or so an hour. Anther caregiver I know was working over at Subway. So my guess she making $5.00 more an hour. I would give the wear and tare on body about the same.
Yesterday at work Regis and I stop over in GARLAND DIST he went into some vintage toy shop. He did get a kiss the band figure. I have to admit was pretty cool. I heard of the SPOKANE ART SCHOOL
But didn't know they had a small GALLERY. One thing I want to go is an opening and closing art reception. I know art work takes time, thought, effort, cost, and work. But I just don't get pricing of it.
Did a load of wash, clean out the rigs, and once again the table.
The top cloud photo is an Washington one and last one is an Idaho one. To me they look the same. Shape differently.
Coffee is on and stay safe
...I hope that everything's "looking up!"
ReplyDeletehope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteCare workers are underpaid for the wonderful and valuable work you do, no doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteCare workers should get a lot more, they are so needed in society and very much in demand. Sure should get more than a fast food worker. We could all live without fast food but not without caregivers.
ReplyDeleteSky and clouds are the same everywhere, just depends on what weather is brewing. I like the clouds photos. Care workers here don't get paid much either. Nursing homes for the elderly are badly understaffed because people don't want to work for such little money.
ReplyDeleteGlad you can take pain with humor! Bored, LOL.
ReplyDeleteHow can someone in the fast food business get more money than one who takes care of people?!!!
Carers aren’t paid near enough. Such important work!
ReplyDeleteAnd that’s why there is a shortage of home health care workers
ReplyDeleteAlways remember to look up - at least some times.
ReplyDeleteI work with someone who is having lots of trouble finding caregivers for her father, who will be turning 100 soon. I think there is a shortage of home health care workers nationwide but there is certainly a shortage here in New York State. When fast food workers are valued more than home health care workers (not to put down fast food work , which is far from an ideal job, too), that really says something about our society. ReplyDeleteI don't understand the pricing of art, either.
ReplyDeleteYou are woefully underpaid. So are all caregivers, it seems. It's too bad you can't get unionized and strike. But I know you can't do that in Idaho.
