Today Is Wednesday June 30, 2021, This Is What Happen

Thought it would be a good day to get back for my Wednesday Journal prompet, and I'm challenge my self to NUMBER 3 Question time....Have you thought of living on a boat? I have no desire to live on a boat full time. Couple of days here and there.

The summer on lake Bear had been pleasant for so many years. Usual most of families came and only stayed for the summer month. Once school was out the village of Ballard increased. And toward the end of August people start heading back to there home, school usually start shortly after Labor day.

Less than people stayed in community of Ballard, let say 20 families, still less 200 peeople. And the families lived on ship, that was replica of ship from Ship Thistle. As I understand sail in 1730s. The Fry came to this country slightly before the 1700. Although the boat the fry family lived on never came close to the size of ship that brought their family over from the old country. Plus the ship had only parcel of sails, during the change of holidays different color of lights was strung. Valentine they put up red lights, st Patty day they put up Green lights, Christmas green and red lights. So pretty much every month a new set of lights went up. The bedroom was small and well design the beds could fold up agaist the walls, and no loose setting dressers and decore was harbored down, extra tight.

There certain things living on ship was, no garden. Had a few plants in summer time that was placed on deck. Although the family had less then quarter acre that they had a garden and a few fruit tree. The neighors that lived in little cottage had some berries of different sort. They trade fruit from tree for berries. the ship was hard to keep cool in summer and in winter hard to keep warm. So time extra blanket had to be use for insulation.

The community of Ballard had one room school house and the school house was also use as a community  center.

As any home, family, and community there good and bad. The main thing is one attitude.

Coffee is on and stay safe

  4. In answer to your question: no, I'm most definitely a landlubber! More than by the way, hope your area is not having a heatwave. If it is, do stay cool and hydrated!
