Just A Bite Of Life

Never know what to title these post.
I was down pound this week and I thought I would be up. I've seam to be struggling with getting back on track with my weight lost.
I had a goal to be under 200 by the first quarter of the year and the last day to that was March 31st. But I have to remember the weight I have lost in 2018 well over half I haven't gain back.

I'm toss between to and not to that the question. Brooklyn Library is offering something fun and interesting, CANVAS PARTY. But it looks so much fun and you get to share art of someone in world. Now how cool is that.
Well I have enough creative projects going.
Plus I need to get a few bills under wrap.
Only have little bit to finish up on my one tarot card I been working on, Page of water. I need to add the hen, the page it self and color it in.
I've done a little on my sketchbook project got the edge trim up. In my head I pretty much got lay out for Aries in Pluto and then Taurus in Pluto.
But how to execute the plan could  be something else.
How I'm doing my sketchbook one might even call it historical time piece. Taurus was in Pluto from Civil war and part of RECONSTRUCTION time in our american history. I want to draw something easy that would represent (reconstruction) time in our history. Question time...what symbol or item(s) would represent this time period?

Every Meant a Why

As many of you know I been making my own tarot cards. Some actual come fairly easy and other come fairly had.
But I wonder why I put certain objects in the cards and often wonder how I would do the cards differently
And which part of the brain is making the choice of what I put in the drawing.
There total of 78 cards total/
Ok I'm going to do ten of them and take two items I drawn and see what possible they mean.
1. Eight of Swords...handcuffs, subdue to those oppressing you...Wall, is obstructing your progress.

2. Eight of Cups...Umbrella, emotional security, you are putting up a shield against your emotions or other negative occurrences like the rain or other misfortune...fireplace,  a reflection of appeasement.

3. Queen of swords...clock, Are you tied to the time? Should you be precise more? Leaves your time? Do you pass the time a party? What is your relationship with time? The mystics perceive time very differently than ordinary people. The deeper you get into the center and come in contact with the divine, the less power over you have the shackles of time...rainbow,To see a rainbow in a dream, is prognostic of unusual happenings.

4. Four of wands...Megaphone,  indicates that you need to be more vocal and expressive about your feelings. Speak up and express yourself. Perhaps you feel that you are overlooked and feel that your voice is not being heard....wine glass, o a party during which there will be a scandalous event.

5. King of wands...Lotus flower, Inner peace, spirituality, perfection, or a spiritual process of opening, unfolding, or evolving...Beaver, surprise.

6. Temperance...Moon, Your desires run, especially if you dream of something dreamed of...Cougar,  symbolizes wild beauty, power, grace, and raw emotion. It often refers to feminine power and aggression. Alternatively, it also indicates lurking danger and death.

7. Empress...Swing, Swings on a playground might represent going back-and-forth, such as in the process of making a decision or trying to understand something...Bluebirds both happiness and sadness. It is also an indication of purification and resolution to the opposing conflicts/paradoxes in your life.

8. Page of Swords...wind,life changes...telescope, represents your need to take a closer too at something that you don't understand or that's unusual. You may be experiencing uncertainty or strange events and desire a sense of clarity.  

9. Two of Swords...blindfold,  represents intentionally lacking the ability to notice something...eye(s),observation, judgments, and consciousness.

10. Hierophant...apple, eviction from the paradise...Hand,your relationships and how you connect with the world.

Well some came from a dream book have and the other though different website. Well hopeful if all works out I'm going to Medford Thursday or Friday.

Not All Impress and They Can Go Back In Closet

The other day I was looking on Facebook and less then fourth I believe is every post there. But something are worth checking out.
There was an old story from INLANDER about a hate group coming to my home community. Editor note...Although it said Courd'Alene which is about a hair of an hour drive for me. Not sure what happen to this church  Well I don't believe everything I read and did a little research and they have a local ADDRESS
Which is the old John Deere dealership building they had some business which I thought would benefit our community an Army Surplus, Knife and different blades place to be sharpen. But also what I was excited about is possible a variety store BOTTOM DOLLAR.
Been in both the surplus store and the place they sharpen blades, all very nice people. And had small glance about the variety store and what I saw I was impressed.
Statement time...If the business there is supporting hate I won't be spending any money there.

Did mange to get a few chores done and increase my walking distant, now I'm up to fifth power line pole.
Confession time...I'm amazed at my self how let my self get this heavy and out of shape. 

Have to wonder about those who put these sign up and around.

As one can see it an open meadow and If you look careful there is horse in background. But when I first saw it distant I thought it was a grizzly bear and it got my heart rate up a little.

For Easter we're going to my sister in law down in Post Falls.

Creative and Beautiful Pop Up Number Twenty Six

Anther tarot card and this is my four of swords. Done in color pencils. Before I explain this card and it meaning no divination  can a total glimpses in future.
Three positive key words for the four of swords...take break, recuperating, and completion
Three negative key words for the four of swords...restless, deteriorate, and burn out.
This might interest some about the KOI or GOLDFISH in my card.

But I was on amazon looking at blank ones and I thought they were on costly side.

Today I stop in at one the thrift stores on my way home from work and what I'm looking for is a hole punch for one my pages for sketch book project

So I found a paper cutter for $6.00 and these two new (lid and bottom) gift box for $2.00
And if I decide to get back in to ATC cards and if my math is correct I should get out 120 ATC cards. Which ends up being a little over three cents each.
And I never figured the sides out and there four inch deep.

Now What's Fair

I been recent looking and reading about BASIC INCOME and I have one main question. How do they figure the amount to be given to a person or house hold, that it doesn't enable them. I would guess depending on countries plays in RESULT
Before I move on with my thoughts on Universal Basic Income here link for the negative and positive side of a UBI

Believe that some people would benefit from a UBI. My three main issues with it would be how much one would receive with out enabling. No strings attach, and the amount.

I believe most people has good intention when they set up safety net programs here in United States but the bureaucracy actual hinder a person growth and or put them in trap of poverty.

Might as well toss an amount out of what an amount should be $1,960 a month per person. Some place this would be a great income and other place not. So where it not so great there state would could  make up the difference.
Question time...Where you live what would be a fair UBI check? 

Then there would be no more things as snap, disability, unemployment and such. All income should be subject for taxes and taxes will be brought up possible the 25th of April or some time in May.

As for string attach or no strings to an UBI. I would say no attachment to the UBI. But either by a doctor reasoning and or by the courts the person incapable of handling there affairs. One needs someone to mange there affairs.

I understand some place the UBI been a real blessing and other not. Not sure the reason why this is. But there will all ways will be those who can't or won't mange there life with common sense. As I see here in United States we first need to work on our medical before and UBI. My main reason I would be for an UBI it would give people more choice and cut back on bureaucracy.
Last little thought on UBI it for all not just those who fall in poverty or low income.

Wednesday Pop Up Number Thirty Four

I'm total clueless were the term "Pop Up" came up but I will be using it instead of meme. I like it much better and more comfort with term.

I will be starting with....WEDNESDAY MEDLEY and here this week question...

4.  April 17  is National Ellis Island Family History Day, too,  Did any of your ancestors or relatives immigrate through Ellis Island from another country? Lot of my family were here before there actual was the United States, I can trace my dad direct line to my ninth Grand Dad who never came to America, but his son did. They were puritans. Then on my mom maternal, my grandmother maternal side came over in about 1850's

5.  We also celebrate National Cheeseball Day on April 17th.  Do you have a favorite cheeseball recipe to share with us or have cheeseballs basically disappeared from parties today? I don't do well with diary but I like cheese.

6.  If you want to share, please tell us something random about your week....One of my sons friend and class mate had committed suicide and left a wife and two young children. WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Ok, now I'm going to do or attempt a story but out list I'm going to just the even words...abounding, quince, toothpaste, debonair, instrument, and horn.

For being born in such a small town Sarah did quite well handling her self with other debonair. She carried her self with pride and grace. As she wasn't from any form of money new or old.
It was her natural way. She was invited to all sorts of art, theater and stage events. Even people had paid her way to many things though the world.

One of her favor was a play from small theater group came from small town of Jacksonville just Northwest of Ashland.

People showed up from all over and even well known people of film and stage were there and it was fund raiser to help with personal care that would help people purchase hygienic items. Such as toothpaste, toilet-paper, laundry soap, and a lot more. 
It was live performance of local contest of play written. And this had even draw producers from larger companies. 

In left hand side of stage was even a brass band and there interments shine. There horn did a excellent job before, during, intermission, and after.

The play that won was called "Honey what did you do today" a story of one actress who stayed home and it only had her and few more actor. She was interview men from baby boomer generation to be come house wives. 
The stage has a kitchen and the interviews were done at kitchen table. And the kitchen wasn't necessary clean or filthy. 

The play was quite hit and all sorts of food were available including some fresh quince brought in form Australia from one of the better known directors.
As one can see a small towns does have abounding of talent.

Out It Go and Don't Tell Me That

Here in United States except Massachusetts and Maine is holiday and they get to pay there taxes on the 16th.
Well once again I'm sending a check to the UNITED STATES TREASURY and even second check for my quarterly installment, for 2019 tax year.
President Trump had a new tax plan and opinion time....it seem to give the upper income a tax break.
From my facebook post...Tax day. I promise to post if we paid more or less. Between 2017 and 2018 the dollar amount is less. But if you look at as percentage wise we paid more. But all in all I would call it a draw.

I have a thing or hang up in different internet site searches. Actual I been looking though the digitized part of the sketchbook project in Brooklyn New York.
I decided to use word "crazy" to see what sort of sketchbook pop up. The sketch above is out of REICHSTETT a French community.

I'm trying to get movement in my life. There no need to sit in morning and watch hours of news. But I like to keep up on current events. But also I like to hear both liberal and conservative take on subject.
Well today I went to fox news and read two articles one was on Julian Assange and about apples we eat. Then for my liberal take on news I went to Huffington report read something about Tiger Wood and Bio Metrics.

Murphy and I went out for Breakfast at Soul Shine he had breakfast burrito and I had there hash special.
Then walk over to accountant and picked up our tax stuff.
Then we went home and I wrote out two checks one for what is owe for 2018 and made my first quarter installment payment. Then went to our library and got some copies. But as I was at the library

As I was there I ask if they had a two or four hole paper punch. Like me they had a three hole paper punch. I don't really want to purchase one I just don't see my self using one all that much. I'm going to call up a few print shops and see if they could be a help.

No It's Not Happening. But It Did Happen

I'm still thinking of doing a manifesto. When is question. I know my thoughts are my thoughts, like every thoughts and what someone says has an equal important.

Made my to do list for week in my BULLET JOURNAL mines pretty simple. Let see I got chores, health, thrift store haul, spiritual/creative and mark off  items in bullet journal.
There some pretty fancy ones.

On facebook I ask a question. So I might as well ask it here...Question time....What is the best (conservative) and or (liberal) news source on web? 
The reasons I'm asking. I like to be current on current event and need to mange my time better. 
Confession time...I spend to much time setting and need more movement in my life. 
In morning I get up an get my coffee and set watch the news for a while, I mean a while. But summer heat will come and this present habit needs to be change.

Hubby and I did some cleaning in garden. We're planning to down size, which includes the garden. Not sure if we're even doing a garden this year.
We have a few project needs to be finished up, and won't be adding any new ones this year.
I been looking for glasses though site called ZENNI and so many choice it sort of frustrating

What Enter Thy Mind

Sorry this might be a little heavy on political side. Or even  possible religious way. So be warn.

Spend a little to much time on Facebook, shame on me. It's not all politics and did activities with other social media friend had nothing to do it politics.

Not necessary thinking of MANIFESTO's and wonder what is considered one. First time I every really heard the word Manifesto is with Unbomber TED KACZYNSKI and don't know what he had in his manifesto the only thing I knew it had well over 20,000 words. I will just leave LINK and move on.

I guess there all sort of ways of doing a manifesto. Question time...Have you every thought of doing a manifesto? I would say mind would lean toward ECONOMIC EQULITY and which to me means no free gravy.

It been a while since I done any Artist Trading Cards. Two reason I did this up quickly was to show a friend what they were. And send one to anther friend who recently lost her husband. I send her the last one, smiling daisy.
Plus I thought it would be good to have break from my tarot cards.
Confession time...I been looking though different site at "ATC" supplies. honestly I got enough in the fire and don't need to have any more.
Well a good thing about ATC cards it good way of using up a lot of odds and ends of lot of things.

Let Continue But Not To Quickly

Also on Wednesday I also take part in WEDNESDAY MEDLEY a group of question that one may learn about each other. And how we are the same and different.
Today topic is about "siblings" I thought this would be interesting since I am an only child.

 How many siblings do you have? I'm an only child, born to older parents. My mom was in her mid 30 and my dad was in his mid 50 when I was born.   Are you rivals or do you support each other in all you do? I remember bagging my parents for a siblings and I even promise them I wouldn't fight with them. They just laugh...My dad was oldest of 6 children and my mother was middle of 12.

  Have you heard of the Birth Order Book? What are your thoughts on the premise that your birth order affects everything you do in life? Yes...One thing I notice about only children parents when raising them they seem to go two ways...The world revolves around them the sun rises and set because of them. Or it just 180 degrees the opposite. Just take my word I had plenty of chores and responsibility I known others around me had less chores then I did, and they had siblings. 
I believe my mom didn't want a spoiled only child brat running loose in world.
Both Hubby and I are first born and at times we bump heads. Anther words "Who on top" 

Is there something that you still do that drives your siblings crazy?(this would be easier if the question was flip...asking what traits a siblings have that drives you nuts) There certain traits which is not many that let say I don't take liking to. People who lies and what pushes me over the edge when there clear evidence of there lie and they just snicker about it. 
Last thing when people are STEREOTYPE and things are assume before all facts on the table...My mom use to say there three side to a story..Your side, my side, and the correct side.  

 Are you closer to your siblings now than you were when you were younger? I wouldn't know but I don't see to eye to eye with all my family. I've never could get grip on BLOOD IS THICKER THEN WATER Let just say I would be straight up and truthful for or against any of my family members. Statement time...If someone will lie for you will also lie about you.   

 Would you dare to tell us an embarrassing story about a sibling? None, but I've been embarrassed and I'm not easily embarrasses. Confession time...when someone purposely embarrasses me I get very up set with them.

Tell us something random about your week. Had an eye exam and need glasses.

Wednesday Meme Number Thirty Three

Wednesday I do a story and photo. And to be honest I don't think the word MEME is what I need to be using. But not sure how I would integrate the term BLOG HOP Usual I have my coffee pals but then today I will be visiting some blogger that I haven't in past or rarely stop in. So hopeful by next week I won't be using the term Meme.

Like usual I don't get a chance to start my story to later in day, so I using the last set of words. BAD, SHAKE, SCRIBBLE, FLOWER, AFTERNOON, and CAMP

The storm clouds sat all day on the other side lake flower over on lower edge of the mountains, sound of thunder been happen most of the afternoon, although no rain had came in. But things at camp had already been put away that couldn't get wet.

A little later in the afternoon the lake had became quite wavy the trees had start to shake and branches start to fall about. Thought it would be good time to quickly extinguish the campfire before something bad happen like a forest fire.

In less then hour the storm had came though and now it was time to scribble storm in the weather almanac.

Happy Monday

Actual I have know ideal what to call this post. So as today is Monday and it sure wasn't a sad day. Went to the artist group meeting here in Bonners Ferry. There going to have a yard sale next month and I notice I have a lease a few shoes to share. But sure I could find a few more items to bring.
Believe me there plenty of items around here.

Today I told Liz about ARTIST TRADING CARDS and she never heard of them. It seem living in small populated area. One might say news travel slow. See actual they start in 1997 by a Swiss artist, M.V.S But 1997 the oldest was in third grade and youngest in first grade.
So I did two up for Liz and I'll take them in Wednesday and give them to her.

Well oldest Grand Daughter just turn three yesterday. Two years she will be in kindergarten. And my two younger grandchildren will be year old, one in July and the other in August.

She did pretty good haul. Both set of Grandparents got items that she can be creative. Her maternal grandparents made her a cook stove out of cardboard box and got stickers for like the burners, oven doors, dials and such. And of course the cooking utensils.
Then her Paternal grandparents got her some side walk chalks, kazoo, and magnetic puzzle of a fashion dogie salon.
I need to give high five for cheese cake out of CITY ORGANICS out of SANDPOINT. It was one of the best cheese cake I've had.
It was a vegan one made out of cashews.

Now briefly back to my art life. Friday I will post some photo of my artist trading cards for part of my PAINT PARTY FRIDAY and I did get my paper cut to size I need for the SKETCH BOOK PROJECT but now I need to get holes punched. The place I got my paper trim down didn't have a multi hole punch. I have one put although not sure it's adjustable or not.

Today it was the dentist, weigh in at TOPS tomorrow and two things I want those scales to say "You maintain or your down". And Thursday off an eye exam

My take on the three of wands, in tarot deck. I choice a ship about leaving port off to possible a new adventure or land.
As one can see two of my wands is as one is about ready to walk up the plank and the third one is using as mast.
Three positive...relocation, liberation and growth.
Three negative....Travel delays, set backs, and failure to check fine print.

Wednesday Meme Number Thirty Two

This look quite challenging for me. Topic is MUSIC SCORE FROM FILM it part of "Wednesday Medley"

1.  Let's talk about film scores/songs.  What is the first one that you thought about when you saw today's subject? Panic, I'm not much up on scores or song that relate to movies

2.  Do you remember the first movie you ever saw on the "big screen"? Sure that easy Would you tell us about it? Snow White and Seven Dwarfs 

3.  Who is your favorite female movie star?  Who is your favorite male movie star?  Go ahead and list more than one if you must. At present time none. But as I got older I admire good skill of an actor or actress. Who does there part with feeling 

4.  How about those old black & white movies!  Which one do you always stop and watch, even just a little? Time period in movies doesn't real have appeal for me. I would have to say I like to watch movies or shows that take on social issues. If it made in 1949, or today.  

5.  Is there a movie quote that makes you laugh or one that you repeat often in life that you can share with us?  Will we know what movie it comes from without you telling us? Can't think of any

6.  Please share something random about your week with us. Been crochet with left over pieces of anything from fabric, string, yarn, lace, and ribbon.  

Took me a little while to find this week host for WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY since it late in day. I am using the last set older, cardboard, wounded, front, empty, astonished. 

Mary was up in front part of the attic going though her Grandma stuff. She died and the home is to be sold and was to be divided up among her five children. 
Mary notice a sort of small cardboard box, in corner of her Uncle Larry room when he was younger. As she took off lid to box and there was and old diary, plus a some letters that they wrote to each other as we serve in WW2 in Europe theater  of her Grandpa, Grandma husband who died 7 years ago just little over 90 years old. Although Grandma quite didn't make her 90 birthday, a few months short. 
Mary Grandpa was wounded in Metz during the war, and it was said that entire round from Walther was empty in to there Grandpa. His wounded didn't slow him up and end up serve 20 years in the military.

Mary Brother Larry was on front porch and decide to walk around the walk way to back of place were they would come spend time with there grandparents. And all five of there Grandparents children put there foot and hand prints in the back pouch. The first one went in 1958 and last one in 1966.
There grandparents could be explain in one word "astonished"

  Last thing I will be ending with is WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Off My Rocker

Been putting together a magikal bag which connect with my purse. Today in mail got my last charm, believe Thursday I will share my charms with you.

But these are the stones I carry in my magikal bag. The one to left is Tourmaline (Black) it my shield stone. Not going into a lot of details. It keeps negative energy or dispense of it, helps one understands and have better look unto situation, and one of my friends in ELECTRO SMOG so she moving back up here from Southern Idaho.
One time I end up at bigger hospital with client some time ago and at Radiology department, and being in that area it gave me a horrible head ache. I rarely get head aches.

Now rest of them going left to right. The other stones in from my astrology my moon sign is Leo, then my rising sign is Pieces and my sun sign is Aquarius. A fire sign, water sign, and air sign.
Well for my leo in me I got a Hiddenite it's uplifting, fills the heart with light that permeates though the entire body, and it works with upper heart chakra
For my pieces I went with amethyst. It increase the endocrine system and metabolism Then it improves memory, and for the chakra it works well with throat and crown. My last one is for my sun sign of Aquarius is a garnet and key word is "revitalized" the chakra. Well the other two things it does is to assist one with courage and hope.
There a few more stones I want to get, but it will be a while until I get anymore.
Now I wonder if other religion works with crystal. Opinion time...Both the science and spiritual does have it part in healing.  I wouldn't tell someone if they had some medical issue to put a rock on what ever and there going to be healed. 

Finely I did it. I drop a pound and this last quarter was hard. Last year I drop 13 pounds in 2018 and didn't want to gain it all back. We received our awards for our local chapter.
Today we open our quarterly goal letters. Our club we write a letter to our self and then when quarter is over we open them. So first part of July we will open them.

Start to make part of my zodiac sign of cancer for Sketchbook project. I'm taking odds and ends and crochet them together. This is to represent the shell of crab.
My sketchbook is to represent all the zodiac planet going though Pluto.
Not sure if I'm all that impress with colors. But the texture of it makes interesting. My sketchbook can't be more then and inch thick.

March Report 2019

I make plans and I have issue of marking off what I did. I know this conversation been posted before.

I did fairly well on weather. Mid month sun was up over the Parcel range around 7:45 AM and went down behind the Selkirk range a little before 6:30.
End of the month sun came up around 7:15 and goes down at 6:45
About 30 minute gain in morning and in evening a 15 minute
Now for temps.
Warmest day was on March 30 at 60 (15.5)
Average high was 43.5 (6.4)
Coldest day and two days were tired March 2 and 3 -3 (-19.4) We usual don't get this cold in March.
Average cold was 25.3 (-3.7)
24 days of record temps and 19 of them were blow freezing.

One of my goals was to keep my table clean, and I need give my self pat on back. Then small high five was I did get a few things out of closet.

No I didn't do good on keep track what I spend out penny cash or the odds purchase. But for some reason I did make a note on my monthly bills.
The smallest month bill was water at $43 and highest was my health insurance at $409. Statement time one month I forgot to pay it and also we qualify for subsidy. 
The grand total of March bigger bills were. $480

Can't think of what I did in creative or spiritual line.

Now for the three part of my personality...I'm extremely high in openness range. which was 99% which comes down to a person try new things, emotional aware, and intellectual curiosity. 

Agreeableness well that slightly below average at 44% They tend to be skeptical of other motive. Confession time...I just don't see my self as this and I wonder exactly how they came up with this. To me it sound like "I just know your up to something and I'm not sure what, but I know" But also I confess I seem I need some type of proof of what is what. One could say I'm a DOUBTING THOMAS 

Emotional range is at 37% and this time lower number is good. Not likely to be upset. It takes quite a bit to get me unnerve me. 

Almost forgot about my well being. I did a lot better in keep track of my steps. So I'm trying to get in 40oz of water and my daily average is 30 oz.  And for my step my daily average is 4,397. And my goal is 7,500. Granite I didn't record every day. But most days I did.
