Yule Boxes

Our local Pagan group in Bonners Ferry is doing up four Yule boxes. In hope to bring joy to some. Paganism is nothing like the Hollywood version.
We're in hope other pagan groups or covens picks this ideal up and do it in there community.
And one doesn't need to be pagan, any faith, organization or group can do this, and or individual can built of community box.

Coffee is on

  1. Yule. Ox, what a great idea. And the things you included were so practical.

But did you realize you were upstaged by your cat?

  6. That was interesting seeing what you put in the box. I don't do community boxes, I don't think anyone does. Usually there are Church groups who make up baskets of necessities and some Christmas things plus a gift for child or children and they take them around to very poor people. All shopping malls also have a "giving tree" with tags for boy or girl in different age groups, what you do is take a tag, buy a gift for a boy or girl in the age group you chose and have it wrapped, then deliver it back to the giving tree and whoever organised the tree makes sure the gifts are given to the appropriate children. Many people choose toddler and baby gifts, so my daughter and I choose an older age group, maybe around 11 and take tags from a boy and a girl, then we wrap a toy, a book and a piece of clothing.

A hot cup of coffee sure does sound good during this time!

  12. We have something in our church where kids can share their old toys with under-privileged kids. I think that is a great idea, really!
