Spooks Who Stop By

Samhain  is celebrate now! For those it half way point between fall equinox and winter solstice. Things what one would use in the warmer days (summer and spring) is being put up. The leaves are falling off the tree. The majority of trees are bare now. The larch is glowing a beautiful gold color. The clocks will be set back an hour Saturday just before we go to bed. We're getting about nine hours of sunlight.
Did anther shelf out in the shed/barn. This one was pretty easy. Quite a few of the boxes are filled with canning jars and some of my good glassware. I still end up with box that heading out to one of our local thrift store.
Now there only two more shelves to go. The shelves what are left has mostly boxes of canning jars.
I got a few more small items complete around the place. Two loads of wash both colors. The kitchen and dinning room floors are clean. Table got clean off also. Who know what spooks will swing by hope they like Mexican type of dishes. I don't see my self adding a table cloth.

This is last day for the ultimate blog challenge which one blogs every day in October. . I would have to go back and check facts but I believe I only missed two days. What I like most about this prompt after you put your url link on there facebook page. You went and visit the two other blogger who would be just up above you. I kept list who I visit. So the 3rd of November I'll be posting a list who I visit.
I total forgotten about nablopomo Put on by blogher

Testing Nine, Five, Three hundred and Eighty Two.

I was trying to find “site” how my blog would rate as a movie. You know that R, Pg 13, and XX, so forth. Back in the days one would pop over to blogthings answer a few question an out pop some answer. Or put in your blog url and out pop some answer which usual don't mean crap.
There a site that rates the value of your blog Like I'm going to sell my blog. Anyhow I blog simple because I enjoy it. Still haven' found the movie rating quiz.

Now back to what every I feel like posting...about my cards
for weight lost. I never told you what is what. I got my cards divide up to best for 2,000 calories. Confession time...I hate to post that I weigh 210 pounds but it's the truth.
This is how my calories are divide up.
  1. Fat Card...on the average one tablespoon = about 45 calories on average. I'm allowed 5 cards a day.
  2. Milk Card...on the average 1 cup of =130 calories on average. I'm allowed 2 cards a day.
  3. Starch Card...on average ½ cup of =80 calories on average. I'm allowed 6 cards a day.
  4. Meat Card...on the average ½ cup or 3 oz =72 ½ calories on average. I'm allowed 6 cards a day.
  5. Veggie Card...on the average 1 cup = 25 calorie on average. I'm allowed 3 cards a day.
  6. Fruit Cards...on the average 1 cup = 60 calorie on average. I'm allowed 5 cards a day.
  7. Free Cards...on average ½ cup = 68 ¾ calorie on average. I'm allowed 3 cards a week.
If your wonder what a free card it's for junk food.
So this way I feel satisfied and usual I don't use up all the calories usual. Once I get down to 200 pound mark then I'll reduce my calorie intake to 1,800.
This method seem to be working for me.
If I use up my calories. If I get hungry I'll pop some popcorn add nothing to it.
Don't eat anything after 7pm and if I do once again it plain popcorn.
Last little bit I walk 3 times a week.

Out and Round

This morning I went to my T.O.P.S meeting in Bonners Ferry. I did loose ¾ of pound. One of our members lead the group on her new diet, Trim Healthy Mama In a short nutshell it was about food combo. It sound interesting but I'm wondering how hard it would be to do and keep to. Well next week she'll wrap it up.

I found out using the cards method been the easy and most successful tool for my weight lost. I been told a person needs 10 to 15 calories per pound. Depend on age, sex, and other factors like how activate one is. So for easy math if a person weigh 200 pounds and should eat about 2,000 calories to maintain current weight.
Not to be very un-comfortable to take off 20 pounds reduce your calorie intake by 200 so your eating about 1,800 calories.
I have a mixture of card types, which hopeful I'll explain tomorrow or the next few days.
For this year I lost 7 and ¾ of pound. For the holidays and all the goodies around. I just want to maintain my current weight lost.

Haven't been doing my walks do to a hacky cough, that hung around like guest who starting to smell fishy.
This morning after T.O.P.S and after my other short errand I took a walk, been a while.

I went south of Bonners Ferry turn up the road were the state highway department keeps there equipment. Found a place to park.

I like this landscape design.

Then up though draw and pasture would be heading up toward Paradise Valley.

I want get anther shelf in the shop/barn done. This is the odds and ends which was laying loosely on the shelf and a box.

This is what going out of here.

Also did three boxes of canning jars. Not bad most of them are Kerrs and Balls. I tossed out what was broken and non canning jars. I believe I toss out five. Which isn't much at all for the amount of canning jars I have.

Some Seem To Struggle More Then Others

Yesterday Sunday I was in Super one. I bought three bags of Candy We don't get door knockers for Halloween but Murphette, Alice does. Like usually they seem to be short on funds. Grab threads out of there pockets to make though the month.
After work I stop in at Muphette gave her bag of candy and a dozen cookies I made up. My first cousin once remove Bess was there. Told me that Alice was helping out Aunt Nancy.
Then I stop in at Alice but her ex-husband Marium answered the door. Found out she was out taking care of some business. So I gave the dozen cookies and bag of candy to her Ex.
The third bag of candy and dozen cookies went to my new client who don't seem to struggle as much as some of I've seen.

Melt In Your Mouth Cookies. (short bread cookie)
Put these wet ingredients in a bowl...1 cup of butter (2 sticks) at room temperature , 1 cup of powder sugar, 2 teaspoons of maraschino cherry juice, (the rest can be save or tossed out, juice that is),1/4 cup of maraschino cherries ( I got an 4oz jar when chop it was just slight under the ¼ cup) ½ teaspoon of almond extract...mix together.

Then you want to chop and add these ingredients..¼ of mini chocolate chips, ¼ of finely chop pecan ( I just bought a ¼ cup bag) 2 ¼ cup of flour, add to flour is ½ teaspoon of baking powder and ¼ of salt (I didn't add the salt because I use salted butter) and few drops of food coloring if you like.

Mix dry and chopped ingredients with wet ingredients.

I like to have my cookie dough rest so I place it in the refrigerator as I did up dishes. Half hour or so.

Place 1 inch cookie ball on un-grease cookie. 2 inches a part slight press down on cookie dough.

Bake for 10 to 13 minute until done at 350ยบ One might have to lift up on cookie to see if there done. Look for golden brown on bottom. Had trouble tell when cookies was done.

Never Know Where You'll Learn Something.

Let me tell you something yesterday I had my day sort of plan out. I even considered it may rain and it did, all day. I really want to clean out anther shelf in shed/barn. Never got to it. I'm ok with it.
So I finish washing my living room wall. Sure brighten up place

Let me tell you what I wasn't going to do was list an ornament for sale on my esty page. I was going to do this tomorrow after I got done with work.

Though out time. I been embroidering a pair of pillow cases. One of them I got the print design on good and strong. The other one not as.
I thought it was about time I show what I been working on. Instead of posting about it.

One thing I was going to make some cookies. I got the recipe I want to try. Went up stairs and Murphy was mopping the floor. I just couldn't start them and I know I would spill even a little bit of something. I know I would of got tiny bit flour on floor. So I'll do them after dinner or tomorrow after work.

As you can see I'm trying to sell the mouse painting the rainbow. But I also finished up king, donkey, and turkey. The odds are I'll be giving these 3 ornaments away.
I'm painting on a teddy bear and tin solider.

Yesterday I was browsing though the net. Confession time...I was over on facebook looking though one my groups can't recall which one...homesteading plain and simple or garden one.
One lady just harvest her ground apples Which got me wonder what she was even talking about. Well I think I might give these little things a try.

Never know how things may work out. Can't say much went as plan but nothing majorly went wrong. Why fight it

It Some Were In This Dang Computer.

I had my post all written out for this weekend photo hunt. Guess What I can't fine my picture I took for stir or figurines
Once bisque is painted using acrylics it needs to be sealed. I found out hanging the ornaments using a flag pole and laying it across the rail so far been the best. Not saying there isn't a better way.
I'm trying to get some greenware cleaned and loaded in to my kiln, so it can be fired.

We cover up some areas of the garden. The leaves you see sort of in middle are leeks; which been healed in.
Loose covered up the radishes, turnips and spinach. Knowing there is a strong possibility we need to get into them.
The artichokes didn't make it. Ran out of growing season. So we cut them back and covered them with leaves. Tucked a tarp around them all snuggled. Even a few years back we had so many artichokes we even got tired of them.
It the fathers one way with dirt tucked around it tightly. Or closes one to the fence by the shed/barn.

We went out to Murphy Aunt Shirley place up on North Bench. Look around since there moving down south.
I posted about the gas range. We're taking it for $75 dollars. But they were so busy moving things about. Best thing we could do was just get out of the way. So we didn't take the range but Murphy sister Faith has the key to the place.
We did come home with an lazy boy chair, paid $40 for it.

Like most people who picks up there odds and end but not everything from second hand and thrift stores nothing matches.

Do Ya Think It's Better Deal.

For a while I thought I would have the chance to go to the Samhain service
down in Spokane. But there a great deal knocking at our door.
Murphy Aunt Shirley moved down to the area of Dalton Garden between Hayden Lake and Courd'Alene.
Lot of the items in home up here there going to sell. One the main thing we're interested in is there gas cook range. For a while we're wanting one.
The electrical stove been having some issue. Mostly the left front burner. The heat can't be regulate. I'm sure the thermometer is pretty much shot and soon the burner will soon be good as dead.
Anyhow my home is plumb for gas appliance.
Actual Both us like cooking on Gas. Not sure what Murphy Aunt will be offering that we will be interested.
So I figure I might as well stick close by. Don't think I should past up a deal like that.

The other day I just finished pouring up my last patch of ceramic slip. It will be some what rare if I cast anymore ceramics. My shop/garage is just to cold to pour in. So next time I do any more pouring of ceramics will be some time after winter, March or so.
One thing I need to order is some supplies though National Art Crafts Not a question asked I sure need some rubber bands and band straps
But these ornament hangers things would be handy.
Still have three items list over at my on line shop, Nice and Nifty Stuff Halloween is quickly approaching.

Once I got done with work today. Carrie ask me to stop by one of the thrift store, drop off some books. That her sister Lavon had. I wasn't looking for anything in particular but it never hurt to browse though. Once a week I send out two cards to pen pals. Most of my cards comes out second hand places. Today I got three of them at .25¢ each. Pick up two boxes of petite glass ornaments, $1.99 a box. Like I need more ornaments. I should go though mine and donate some of them. Confession time....I'm not a big fan of Christmas tree done in one color.
Pick up a Mr and Mrs Clause for a $1.75 already fired. Then I got  four ornaments at .79¢ each. Not sure what I paid for the light house. But I know it all was under thirteen bucks.
One item was free a catalog for hospitality line. My front room drapes are getting pretty frail and my sister in law Faith gets her stuff though one of there catalogs.

Mid Week Affairs.

I thought I would post something great for samhains-sirensgive away. Actual there two of them so just go back and click on link.
I like “zucchini “ bread but didn't get a chance to make any. But I've never tried with pineapples and so I thought I would share the recipes from Samahian Siren.
Pineapple Zucchini Bread
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsps baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsps ground cinnamon
2 cups white sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups shredded zucchini
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat an oven to 325*  Line the bottom of two 9×5-inch loaf pans with parchment paper.
Mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon in a bowl. Beat sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a large mixing bowl, and stir in zucchini and pineapple. Gradually pour in the flour mixture, mixing until just incorporated. Fold in raisins and walnuts, mixing to evenly combine. Divide batter evenly between the two prepared loaf pans.

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Working with one loaf at a time, hold the pan on its side and gently tap the sides of the pan against the counter to loosen it. Cover the pan with a cooling rack, and invert it to tip the cake out of the pan and onto the rack. Peel off the parchment paper, and allow bread to cool completely.

Murphy and I went up in the mountain today. Usual we take the saw just in case we run into some firewood. It's not like we have enough firewood. Plus we also have natural gas and electric heat.
First thing right by the split to either go up Myrtle or Burton. There was a young mule deer buck with five does. Not very often you would see a spike with that many does. Most of the time when a buck is that young Usual the older buck with massive alters runs guys like the spike off. He sure most be one lucky spike buck. Question time...Wondering were the older mule deers was...wondering about the health of mule deer population.
Well I had may camera in bag and didn't get a picture of the mule deers. But I thought the moon was sure pretty up against the blue sky in Selkirk mountains.

Some company put in a new logging road and with gate on it. But it gave one a different look toward “Myrtle Peak”. Murphy and I didn't walk down the road to see were it went. But it has been in that long. We go up in that area quite a bit.
Myrtle creek is were the city of Bonners Ferry gets there water from. Lets just hope they didn't log next to the city water source. Confession time...Not sure how far I was from the actual from creek it self

Murphy has his little spot up on Myrtle creek area that he likes and usual we come out pretty good. This is our first little part of our firewood. Usual we like getting larch or red fir. I've taking a liking to vine maple. But older we get we're always considering how easy is it going to be to get out. Somany years or one may say as time really pass bye. We're not quite there yet. We want the wood to just jump in and even do a song and dance number. We're even willing to take nice clean pine.
This load was fairly easy going. The load after this one the wood was heavier. The larch died recently and it was still wet. Won't be used this year needs to season.

On the way back we saw a cow moose. This time I did have my camera ready. She just walk a little bit up the road and turn and went up in woods.

The valley been full of foggy last few days. Once you got above the clouds in mountain it was actual fairly warm. I didn't have coat on I wore a long sleeve shirt. Wore a stocking hat for two reason it hunting season and my ears every so ofter will get sore. Being in Mountain getting firewood ones need not to worry about fashion.

What Have I Done My Lovelies

I'm total clueless why I forgot to mention yesterday about the events over at (Samhain Siren) But lets get right to there give a way.
Today give a way is by Danni of Heart Root Studio

Ms D is giving away the "The Torchbearer" . Swing on in at Samhain siren (link above) to see how you may enter to win.

At one time. I even tried my hand at painting on canvas. Actual here is one of her pieces I like.

Don't forget they offer a lot more then a give away.

I stop in this morning before I went to work. I knew Alice client Carrie will be in the nursing home and hospital for a bit.
I mention Murphette and both of us took care of her. Not all hard person to take of. She wouldn't get that many hours do to the sequester.
But once I got home and found out one of my cousin called looking for help for her mom. Her mom or my Aunt is in pretty bad shape. She has cancer and it's gone to her brain. I understand she needs quite a bit of care.
Couple of reason I'm not interested. I'm not quantify to do th is can of care. Not interested in take care of family if something doesn't work out it can cause major conflict in the family. I've seen it in family even my own.
Not saying I don't care about my fellow human.

At time I shake my head on how people manage there life. One reason I stop at Alice to see if she found work. Well she haven't yet. So I told her about Murphtte and she still needed to get her paper work in.
As always Murphette is having money trouble nothing new. So I told her I would go over and talk with Murphette and pay for the postage. Alice gave me a large envelope so it can be send off.

One day a short time back I stop in. Murphette was asleep and I talk a short time to her oldest daughter Doris. Found out they were short of mattress couldn't afford to go and to the thrift store
to get one. But sure look like they were putting in satellite television.
Bart was storing a futon in our basement and he said I could give it to them. So as I was at work Doris came and grab it.

Alice income is a lot more then ours. Last year she brought in $40,000 and her tax base was based on $20,000.
When Carrie went the hospital Alice lost $6,400 of her income. She gets $24,000 a year taking care of
Liddy. Not sure how the income from Libby works out; Liddy is an Indian who has down syndrome. If your wondering Liddy isn't all that hard to deal with a least majority of the time to her the world is “sunshine and lollipops”

Then the rest of her income would be from her business. She makes up preserves and crafts. Which total about $6,400.
I should bring up one more possible fact about her income. Her son Kyle gets a disability (SSI) check for right around $750 a month and little bit from the state of Idaho.
Idaho isn't big spender on any safety net program. The max one can get from Idaho is a whopping $75 a month.
If you don't have expensive it will effect your SSI. So Alice charges her son $200 a month for rent. Now how that all works out in tax world I'm clueless.
So it looks like per support in her house hold is $670 a month. In our household support is $551 per person. Come right down per person there a head by $119 a head.

Alice got I believe is 3 pay day loans that equals $10,000 and I know some of went to purchase craft supplies, what percentage went I don't know. But I know crafts type of business is to undependable. Also the home care is also that way but not as risk as the craft business.

Hold On To What Every.

Yesterday Someone was up set with my post. Like I care. I used the “N” word. Being a “N” don't mean a dang think do to with the color of your skin. When someone treats you with out respect or a lower class citizen. There treating you like a “N”.
I wasn't using the “N” as racial slur

I found out possible my hours might be double. The people I take care of had there hours increase. I didn't go right home from work. I stop over at my friend LaWalla and chit chad for bit. Actual longer then I want to.
The way my client talk I'll be getting in anther 2 hours a week. So I'll be helping them out about 4 to 6 hours week.
I had a good visit with my friend. One of her friends came and visit her from Vancouver Washington and they went up to Nelson British Columbia and United States Customs at Port-hill pulled a gun on them and they got worst then the third degree.
Haven't been to Canada for ages but it seem like when I came though; for some reason I didn't impress them. Even once I got ask if I was carrying heroin on me. Statement time...what dumb question

A little later on I'll call my friend Alice up to see she will be home around ten until a little bit after ten-thirty. Nine until ten I have my T.O.P.S meeting. But I'll have a little bit of time to kill.
The client she now is in a nursing home with congested heart failure and will be there for a while. Last time I talk to Alice she was going to call up the company we both work. To see if there was anyone available. If no one is available she then was going to start calling some other home care agency. Some pays pretty poorly, $7.25 an hour.
Depending on what one did a lease were we work our hourly wage average out $11.50 an hour.
I know Murphette could use a caregiver but like most she won't get that many hours and I'm going to suggest her to Alice. Statement time...Murphette isn't that hard to take care of
Hopeful she found work.

It been such a lovely fall. Me out gallivanting sure don't get things done around here. There a few flowers and bulbs I like to move around.
I been still stab along on my pillow cases and my ceramics. In ceramic line I got three ornaments going. One of the kings and a donkey to a nativity. Then also a mouse painting a rainbow; which the only thing needs to be done is backwash and sealed.
The other two things is a little squirrel and a teddy bear magnet.

Someone post this on facebook and I thought it was interesting. My toes aren't anything to the extreme
I would lean more to the Celtic with possible a little Roman and Egyptian.

Five At Forty Six Cent Each

Don't buy this stamp! It is pretty, but keep reading!

Will be available November 1, 2013
President Obama has directed the United States Postal Service to remember and honor
the EID Muslim holiday season with a new commemorative 46 Cent First Class Holiday Postage Stamp.
The new stamp is the second MUSLIM stamp, and celebrates a Muslim holiday!
If there is only ONE thing you Forward today, let it be this! REMEMBER to adamantly BOYCOTT this stamp
when you purchase stamps anywhere. All you have to say is,
"No thank you, I do not want a Muslim stamp on my letters!"
Buy our US flag stamp instead, please!
Pass this along to every Patriotic American you know & get the word out!
Honor the United States of America.

Found this over on facebook. It got some people panties pulled up in there crouch. Question time...I wonder if they had pentagram for a stamp if they would be shitting green Twinkies?

Not sure if I'll get any depend what else being offered. Actual it reminds me of some thing hippie like.

I never could understand why so much is spend on our military. If you say anything about cutting aid to military or to Israel. It get people up in arms. Opinion time....Military don't protect our freedom...they just make sure the big companies (oil and who every else) can go and exploit. If the military was fair rich would be use for cannon fodder.
They're will always be the poor among us. Working in home care heath field. Notice that lot of the program for needy, could be ran more efficiently. Opinion time...cutting back the little the needy gets just makes there life into more of a hardship.
There is a different between “low income” and “poverty”

More and more I see the united states is becoming more and more of oligarch country. It seem to be slipping faster into only a small percentage of the population will hold the wealth.
If you think the top tender is going to trickle down in great amount to your pocket books. If they still manufacture the hay penny. After one receive the hay penny. One then should be thankful. “Here is a hay penny and Ah bless you” In simple term “Ah better bless you” with some left overs in garbage can.
Question time...What is a livable wage?

It nothing wrong being self reliable on one self. Hubby and I been growing a garden and putting up food. Either by freeze it, canning or dehydrating. Garden season is pretty much done. Still need to take care of some of root crops.
The artichokes didn't do anything but I'd like to cover them up. At this point it seem the cold frosty morning haven't damage them.
Both hubby and I seem to live with in our means. Neither one of us out control spender. Sure we had a few close calls. Confession time...never gone to pay day loan or to pawn shop. When I was about 19 or so I got my self in mess that I had to be someone nigger. Learn my lesson and never did again. Maybe in some past life I was a slave for more then 3 months and had no desire to be in that situation of kissing ass to make a living.
Confession time...I rather not keep up with Jones and do with less material items then be exploit.
Who knows what we will get done over the winter. We could use a compost area. Confession time...I have a little trust in our food supplies or how our country is going...To much oligarchs!....Both of us just like taking care of our place

My ranting like mad woman. Now I would just like to share this beautiful picture.

Never Know What One Should Post About

Before I took Qunella to pick up her Chinese Clippers. I thought I would post my blog. But I couildn't come up with anything. Confession time...I had blogger brain fart

I even had a chance to do a little bit in yard. Pulled out all of my whirly stars and put in garden stuff in the shed/barn. Did a little bit of weeding in the “royal sunshine” flowerbed. Murphy did the heavier type of work today. He dug out a tree from the front yard and move it to the back yard. We're trying to block the view of Bonneville power post but not block view of the mountains.

When I was in town Murphy did load of whites. When I got back home I end up folding and putting them away. Also I did a load of colors.
Did up the dishes last night and this afternoon I got the dishes put away.

This afternoon I even poured up some ceramic molds. I'm trying to empty out some slip I've made up. Today I poured a plain mug. This mug is comfortable to hold and it can be done up in so many ways. Then I found a figurine of set of Pilgrim with a turkey. Last thing was little squirrel. My main goal is to cast up what slip I have left in the pail. Statement...I'm not set up to do casting during the colder months.
As for ceramics. I got couple of beads clean and place in smaller kiln. One thing I need to make the holes in beads more uniform in size.
Painted on some bisque. Fired Greenware.

If any of you don't know what Chinese Clippers are. Dentures! We had a nice drive out though the game reserve. It been six months since my friend Quenella had any teeth. As soon as she got her new teeth her face just lit up an glowed. Opinion time..With her new set of denture it made her face look more balance.

I don't hav e a reader device. But over at Samhain Siren they'll be giving 2 copies of a book by Sally Dubats

Just Hair Pass Half Way.

I been taking part in Ultimate Blog Challenge and Samahin Siren. Oh I'll put the links at the end of the post. We're half way though the month. What does half way means. It depends what and how one want to look at half way. There so many way of looking at half way. Confession time...Lot of time I'm not even sure where the half way mark in life.
I guess if I'm half way though my life. 106 will be it.

When it come to ceramic I have trouble figuring what is the half way mark. Last night I worked on these pieces. One can say when I'm using acrylic and if I decided to add back wash to the pieces; once it dry and sprayed with a sealer. Then I'm done

I thought of trying to figure on my project if I'm quarter done, half or three-fourth the way done. It just to mind boggling.
Question time...Does anyone know when something is half done or not?....I'm quite please if my day goes 80% smoothly. Anything higher then that one may cop an attitude.

I know for fact that Samhain Siren, Still will link below!.Had just barely pass the half way dot. So that means there nine more days until Halloween. So far I've made it pass the half way though Ultimate blog challenge. It to blog every day in October and visit two new blogs.
I been keep list of the different blogs I visit. I have to say I sure visit all sort of blogger. It might be an act of fate but it seem like I hit duplicated of “self help blogs”. What needs to be said, nothing. When I put up my October weather report I'll also share the links of all the blogs I stop in.

Giving a way W itchy Tote Bag. courtesy of .urban threads  Take a brief look at the wonderful things is sold
Her little lady bug is a favorite of mine.
Ms K did a posting part of Samhain Siren blog explain Halloween actual it mid way point between fall and winter. If any of you would like to stop and read  more from Ms K.

Now since I been busy running off at mouth about /samhains-sirens Now I should say it been quite the challenge blogging everyday. But mainly I been enjoying visiting the blogs thought UBC

It Sort Of That Feeling.

I haven't had one of those day. When I was working for Donna I was so stress out and wound up. If you don't know who Donna is. I took care of her and she was extremely demanding. Statement...Not all the people who get in home care are easy to deal with...actual some are pain in the ass. Majority of the day I worked for her. I would come home drink beers and play farmville. Confession time...A lease I didn't have to guzzle a few beers down now.

Work for Carrie is sure a lot different. She doesn't get that many hours a week two and half hours. Then on last of the month she gets an extra fifteen minutes.
Some how she broke her foot and they got hold of my supervisor; but in a request for extra help. My supervisor came out and took picture of her foot and send them off. Now it been a good two weeks! Thursday the seventeenth a medicaid nurse is coming out to determine how much help they need. She is lucky that her husband Hershel loves and takes care of her. But I've seen couples that won't help each other..
Those who need help or some extra help for what every reason; don't have anyone could be in a world of hurt.
At this rate her foot may be all most healed.

It been a while since I had a chance to clean a shelf in shed/barn. Yesterday I had a chance to go though one of the shelf. Actual most of the stuff looked like pretty good stuff that is worth keeping a lease for now.

Murphy and I did some work in our raspberry patch, so it will be ready for winter. We prune, shorten them up, and remove any sticks that was used this summer. The reason we take care of the raspberry now is mainly to prevent snow damage.

When The Wind Sells

Ms Loren the owner of Sagas Cottage is looking for a few more likes on her facebook

Just listed two more items on my etsy page; witch and a ornament for sale.
Then also I have anther witch done differently.
These are some of the pieces I'm now working on. I'm not sure what exactly will be done with greenware and bisque. What I usual do is sell or give them away.

I want to change the curtain on the kitchen windows. I know my fall looking curtain is up in linen closet. It would be wise if I clean it up. But I'm not always wise.

Murphy and I did some cleaning with muriatic acid. It sure brighten up the foundation.
We clean out the chimney also. It went real smooth and weren't cover with soot.

I was hungry for something gooey. There still plenty of apples in our shop/garage. So I made up an apple crisp. Before I share the link to the recipes. I did some minor changes...Cut the sugar amount in half, add a pinch of stevia ...instead of cinnamon place it with apple pie seasoning.... Put 1/8 teaspoon of salt in apple mixture but nothing in topping; because the butter I use has salt in it.
I bet by now your ready to see how to make this crisp

Weekend Photo Hunt (Close Up-Plant)

Later on in Winter when the ground is white. Grey Jays will show up and start to nibble and nibble on little apples until they become tipsy. But right now the leaves are starting to turning color with the bright red apples. So I thought I would use a close up for my photo shot.

When we were out yesterday (10-11-13) getting firewood. The mountain are sure pretty during the fall.
Kinnikinnick is one of my favor plant that grows around here. I have taste the red berries which taste like tart apple; quite favorable. It sure would take a lot of berries to do anything with.

It been a while since I took part in photo hunt meme . I take part in two of them Gattina and Sandi. (Likes to follow) Each week were given a theme to take picture of, and share our picture'
So next week themes will be vehicle and or zip

Some May Have Different View

I like the work of rlc and there reasonably priced and nicely done. Once again Samhain Siren is given away one of her piece, Fluorite Earrings
Handmade, one of a kind earrings set with genuine, 10mm fluorite cabochons. Clay pendants dusted with dragon’s blood for a bit of autumn color! French hooks.  Measure 2” long.

Take a few minute and see what else is being offer at Samhain Siren and RLC....I believe anther piece of her, I like is Bohemian turtle bracelet.

Today Murphy and I went out and cut load of firewood. Actual we like going out and gathering firewood. Confession time...Not all firewood trip goes this smooth actual there been a few trip someone ends up getting few boo boos....but nothing to bad that we end up in emergency room.

At first when we're planning to adventure out on firewood gathering trip. We had a little trouble deciding were we want to get firewood. There a few things one need to take in to consideration. Fuel and place were wood will be gathered. Woke up and the mountain around my home had snow on it. It been a while since I gathered wood in snow. Like any other wood trip it necessary doesn't mean it easier or harder to get the wood..

But we decided to go up toward Harvey-Hall which is up by Eastport area. So Murphy decided to stop and walk up the hill and ran into one dead larch. Getting it out went fairly smoothly. The only minor problem we had is when we were rolling it out. A few time a piece would roll some where we didn't want it to go.

Here is a pile of larch rounds right before we sent it down over the hill to the road. Next step once it hit road was to split it and de-bark before we load it up in Pick up.

Fall is such a pretty time in wood. I keep on my stocking hat and wore a lighter weight sweater. Lot of changes out in wood.
