Today Murphy and I attended the Sunday Service at the Gardenia Center and today speaker inspired me to post this.
He spoke as non-believer and as humanism.
I never thought it was all that important to claim a sect of any type. I do have my personal believes and where do they come from and I have to say here and there the rain, wind, and my own inter self brings them.
Do I listen to different teacher and I have to say yes. Everyone was something to offer but that doesn’t mean I agree with everything hook line and sinker.
It was also the first time I heard some one speak on evolution. Opinion time…I real don’t think the scientist or great religion people have how the earth even started
Opinion time… I think our environment has influence on our evolution. This happen with us as stewards of the earth.
When we pollute our bodies and everything around us, changes our environment.
But when we take care of our bodies and everything around us, changes our environment.
Is this positive or negative I’ll just say it is.
Now some may ask if I believe in higher power a god of such, yes. Who is this so god/dess he or she is all and lives in each of us.
God/dess is life.
Do I follow a certain teacher as Christ, Buddha, fairies, or etc. I don’t have certain teacher that I follow but I believe we are all students and teachers of life.
But we all have free will to choose our life
Interesting that you should mention you went and listend to a Humanist today....I remember studying about Abraham Maslow theory of Humanism in nursing school. This theory if I remember correctly dealt with humanistic perspective on self. This veiw argues that you are free to choose your own behavior, rather than reacting to environmental stimuli and reinforcers. Issues dealing with self-esteem, self-fulfillment, and needs are paramount. The major focus is to facilitate personal development.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the movie "Expelled" by Ben Stein....it looks at Scientists and the debate about Darwins theory on the evolution and the scientists who believe in "Intelligent Design" A very fascinating movie, if you ever get the chance it a good movie and very thought provoking....
I really enjoyed this post....thanks
Great moon shot.
ReplyDeleteLife and the universe as we know it is the Disneyland of Spirit. We leave the eternal oneness for a short vacation in the material world. What you make of the break is entirely up to you.
I'm a Christian but I visit temples and mosques and learn about their religions. Living in a multi-racial society, I learn to live in harmony with all mankind.
ReplyDeleteI got lost in smalltown Rn's comment and had to go back and read your post.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that we are responsible for your planet. And we choose what to do with our own lives.
Blessed Be
