Glitter and Sprakles of a Tree

I got the tree trim with all its light and ornaments. Both Murphy and I decided at this point not to add any icicle or garland.
We are please as is for the tree.

I have a wide selection of ornaments to hang on the tree. I’m not a big fan of one or two color of ornaments.

I like a variety of ornaments hanging from the tree. I think each tells a story.

I don’t know where I got this fishing Creole but the reason I got it. We are all like to fish.
It seem that the boys get more opportunity to go then I do

When we took a trip to San Francisco to see Murphy sister Faith and her hubby Heinz one thing we did was to ride on a trolley car. All of the old folks sang “Rice roni the san Francisco treat”.
To my boys anyone over 25 is older then dirt.

I believe I bought this ball with dazzling sparkles and mirrors. It reminds me the story of Aladdin’s Lamp and flying carpets.

Well I bought some lights real cheap after Christmas. I decided I want to add a little lighting around the side porch.
So Murphy and I played with different ideals on how it could be done.
So only having 20 feet of icicle lights.
I live in a very spars populated area. Hardly any traffic and the road is gravel from the highway, which is a mile.
So not many will see your Christmas yard display.
But all in all we like the way it lit up

Edit Note…I took the picture this morning and there not the best but if you click on the picture you can see it better

  1. Your home sounds delightful - down a sparsely populated gravel road. I'm so jealous!

I just noticed your Poe quote on the top of your page - that's hysterical.

  2. I'm with you. I don't like a one colour tree or lots and lots of icicles and garlands and other stuff. Yours is beautiful. And I like your outdoor lights too. Don't forget, the critters can see them. LOL! Well, the ones that don't hibernate, that is.

  3. A real Christmas tree! I see mostly fake Xmas trees in Singapore.

  4. Your tree and porch look so pretty. I am jealous that you have a live tree. We are not allowed to have one in the apartment. Some stupid rule about fire hazards.

  5. What a beautiful tree! We never go with one color either. It's so much nicer to have a variety of colors. :)

I'd love for you to come back to Hot!!!!
