I never know what subject I should blog about. If more than one thing I need or want to post about. Yesterday, I loaded up a few garbage bags, and ran them over to the transfer station. The bins where pretty much all full. I took my camera, and got a few pictures.
Yes, I'm going to go little bit more on LIZ comment about grab bars or safety bars. I have a grab bar in my shower, and I love it. Great idea. So far neither one of us has slipped in the shower or tub. But in my opinion my balance is better than my husband. But no need to wait for a slip or fall.
At one time the Veteran department or someone from the Veteran administration would come out to a vets home, and get the ball rolling on safety bars. Murphy isn't a Vet. But I'm sure there some organization, not sure which one. Can help us with the safety bar. But I know with our current administration, which I call fourth Reich. That the hill is steeper.
Washed sheets, and towels. Did a little bit in the kitchen area. And been keeping our gully wet down. If a fire came though the odds our that would come up though there. The winds been coming up though out the day. Although not super hard. It quite smoky and the mountain isn't seen.
Been quite pleased on how under the stairs is going. I thought there would been more going into the trash can. At this point very little is heading to the thrift store. Right now I'm basically three boxes, keep, trash, and thrift store. This up coming week I plan to go though two more boxes. I'm linking to SUNDAY IN THE ART ROOM

ReplyDeleteScary to think you'd be in the path of a fire. Maybe time to make a go bag? (A bag to grab if you have to evacuate in a hurry.)

ReplyDeleteI hope the fires stay far away and soon go out. My plan for my shed/garage is also keep/trash/thrift but first I have to wait for warmer weather, it's way too cold down by the garages in August and September.

ReplyDeleteHope the shower bars get put in. That's an interesting view with the stream running right through the house. All I could think of was winter and the cold air. I know that's a pretty negative view on my part though. Hope you have a good week.

ReplyDeleteYikes to the fires and smoke! Stay safe! Good luck getting the safety devices installed! We did install some stuff in my mom’s house, but she got a bunch of extra walkers….one straddled the tub (one leg in and one leg out) and that sufficed there. For a grab bar for the bathroom….take the walker and turn it backwards so the front is against the toilet tank so when you sit down on the toilet that the walker sides or on either side of you. It works great!!
ReplyDeleteWe were fortunate enough to be able to get a bathroom redo two years ago. The ceiling of the bathroom was literally falling in. It was expensive but we were able to afford it. We have two grab bars now in the bathtub area and one near the toilet. I am in my 70s and use them every night,. It's unfortunate you live in Idaho although I'm not even sure who in my area of New York would do grab bars for free. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
