I decided to take part in Wordless Wednesday, My granddaughter Maud and Bree was up for a visit. And we built a big bird nest. It look like Big Bird could set in comfortably. CLICK HERE to view other or even to play.
Not much going on today, no rain. Yesterday I pretty much felt like a stiff. But I did mange to get a few things done.
It been slightly breeze most of the day. No big gust. Did load of whites, and mopped the kitchen and dinning room.
The other thing I got my husband flip phone restarted.
HELS, asked me about our senior food box...A senior food box sounds like a great idea. How often is it delivered and what sort of food goes into it? It comes once a month, shortly after the third. But one need to pick it up or arrange someone to pick it up for you. Every month it slight different. But it has a range of food. This month he got some can salmon, and chicken. Then also we got some can carrots, peas, black beans, rice, and some other things. They say the value is about $50. It looks like all fifty states does this is one google “Senior food box program and your state” it should pop up.
Although each month is slight different. This month we got tomato juice, which I like a lot.
Coffee is on.
Sounds like you had a fun visit with the Grands!
ReplyDelete...it's great that kids can entertain themselves outside with sticks.

Phew, you were a total household warrior today! Restarting a husband's flip phone deserves an official tech-support medal all on its own. 🤣
ReplyDeleteThat Senior Food Box program sounds absolutely wonderful, and $50 worth of solid staples like salmon, chicken, and rice is such a great monthly boost. I love that you got your favorite tomato juice in the mix this time around! Savor that fresh pot of coffee, take it easy after all that mopping, and have a beautiful, restful weekend!
I think there are free food box programs where I live but we have lost so many of our safety nets in the past year. The only one I’m aware of for our county requires that you’ll be able to pick it up and there is a decreasing amount of low cost Transportation available. I’m happy that you have a program that can help you out even if it only comes once a month. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful visit with Maud and Bree—a giant bird's nest is such a fun idea! Props to you for getting the kitchen mopped and tackling the tech support on your husband's flip phone even when you weren't feeling 100%.
ReplyDeleteCute bird nest, made me think of Big Bird, you know the big yellow one from Sesame Street. lol. Sounds like you had a fun visit with the grands. Never heard of the senior food box. I'm 75 and not in need of it, but it makes me wonder how well they advertise it? Wondering if folks who could benefit from it even know the program exists. Going to do some googling, thanks for posting about it. Bravo to you for getting your husbands flip phone started again!!
