Today Is Saturday, May 30, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Let just blame it on unseen force in the cosmos. Every time I thought of doing an post. Some thing came in way. The last one we had major storm come though, with lot of wind, lightning and thunder. When I was young I thought someone in the sky was rolling potatoes around in sky. As I'm older and I guess wiser. That's what I been told. Well the potatoes would be bruise to know end.

Did an load of wash today, and notice I was pretty much out of laundry sheets. I try to be friendly to our environment. I order 120 sheet back in November, and now I need to reorder them again.

I did mange to see the eye doctor. My cataracts aren't even close for removable. But I do need glasses.

Ms DV left me this comment, a little over the week ago, Very good post, Dora. I agree that if you don't vote you can't complain. I really like the family photo. I also enjoy seeing the photos east and west. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you, for the comment on my post. Sadly I don't think there is a solution on getting people to vote. I do think compulsory voting might be to be consider strongly. I took moment to do a google search on COMPULSORY voting. I did have making my great grand mother Dora and her sibling using A.I Here is a LINK to my post of the clowns.

Coffee is on.

  4. Last time I went to the eye doctor, he also told me I'd eventually need cataract surgery. I wear glasses, and have no issues during the day, but I don't enjoy driving at night much anymore. Blessings!

  9. Mmmh, yes we have duties too. But is a MUST to vote necessary!? I think we should give more lessons in school for political. It's important for the youth.

  10. Australia, as I guess you found out, is one of the few countries with compulsory attendance at a voting booth to have your name crossed off. You don't have to actually vote. For postal voting, you can return a blank voting paper and that is ok. This applies to Federal, State and local government elections.

We can have cataracts removed at any point, before they become bad, but you have to pay. If you want it under the public system for free, they have to be quite advanced.

  11. I love that idea of potatoes rolling around in the sky. When I was a kid we were told thunder was just the angels bowling. A big one was when they knocked down all the pins. It's a sweet thought, just like your potatoes. Have a lovely start to June. And end of May too.

  12. Welcome back! Thunder sounds like empty steel barrels being rolled down the barn ramp.

  15. I always vote. I just sent in my mail in ballot for judges we are electing here. I would love some rain and thunder here right now. It's getting hot.

  16. I miss the thunder and lightening storms in N. ID. They can be magnificent. We just get wind and rain here. LOL Thank you for noting my comment. Here in Oregon we have mail in voting. It is so easy. I had cataract surgery several years ago and I haven't had to wear glasses since. Well, I have dollar tree readers for close up but no more everyday glasses. The surgery was very easy. Hope your day is going well.

    1. little sheets of compressed soap, they look like paper but dissolve in the machine, some are better than others, some will block your plumbing.

  20. I tried laundry sheets and they felt a bit "greasy" when I took them from the packet but I used them anyway and eventually that grease residue blocked my plumbing!!
Having that cleared cost me quite a bit in $$$ and I went back to powder nad liquid laundry detergent.
