Today Is Monday, March 30, 2026: This Is What Happened

I'm tired. But I had plan to do quite a bit today. Like wash out the fridge, yesterday I took out all the no good stuff, or the edge of yuk. I thought they would be a lot more.

I never know what to get my sons and their families for Christmas. So I got a SOBSCRIPTION to Chat book mini. So far each book I taken a picture of a picture. Today I add my mom, Myra. But I actual will make the book tomorrow or the following day.

Murphy and I load up the back of the pick up with brush. We're going to the senior center for lunch. But before that we will go up to the dump, and drop it off. Our local dump add a GRINDER and INCINERATOR. I did wonder if the incinerator and air quality. Plus I wonder if it could generate power. I try to be aware of my plastic I'm using. But one of the complaints I have about senior food give away. Quite a bit of plastic in my opinion.

May 19th Idaho will be having there primary. I had to ask Chat Gpt how many democrats is running and what percentage compare to Republicans. Look like 117 democrat is running with in federal, and state. But there is a non measurable group called RINO. I'm in this group. At this time voting here for a democrat is pretty much a waste of time. Or gas. Idaho is CLOSE PRIMARY There hardly any democrat runs anymore. I feel like I'm voting in the old Union of Soviet Socialist Repubic. Up and down the ballot.

Let take moment and look at some facts about my county.

  • The county is considered “solid Republican”

  • It hasn’t voted Democratic for president since 1964

  • Most elections are decided in the Republican primary, not the general election

? This is why:

  • Internal Republican differences (like moderate vs conservative) can matter more than party vs party

  • ~96% White population

  • Median age: ~40–44

  • College degree rate: ~17%

? Rural, older, and less urban areas tend to vote more Republican nationwide.

  • Boundary County is more Republican than Idaho overall

  • Democrats exist, but are a clear minority (~20%)

  • The real political action is often within the Republican Party, not between parties

Idaho, pass it BATH ROOM BILL, and it made the New York Times. All bathroom I've use has a lock on the door. I'm including the stall ones as well. The only was some one would see your unit. I think we all can figure out, what I'm talking about. If they get something to stand on, and look over. Or get down and look under. The entire thing is ridiculous.

Idaho pass the Flag bill, HB 561. I know the city of Boise was flying the “pride flag' and was fine .$2000 A DAY. . Not sure if we still fly the CANADA flag. I should go down town and see what flags are flying. There three flag poles. I wonder what flags are approved other than United States and State Flag.

Both to me is Fascist and or Nazi ideals.

Stamps are going up. There a good chance a basic stamp could be close to $1.00. It won't be until July.

The one daffodil is about to open up.

Murphy and I did take the brush to dump.

For dinner we're having ribs, mashed potatoes and spinach.

In a few days, or around the 1st of April. Chat Gpt gave me, more or less different so called assignment to do with my camera.

Try this little exercise:

Pick one object (coffee mug, chair, tree, anything)

Take 5 photos:

  1. Normal distance

  2. Step closer

  3. Step back

  4. Zoom in

  5. Zoom out

I'm playing with the auto mode.

? What to Pay Attention To

Don’t worry about settings yet—just notice:

  • Is the picture bright or dark?

  • Does it focus where you want?

  • What changes when you zoom?

It been a while since I visit all blogs on my reading list. So the last day of March I'll be stopping by 56 blogs.

Coffee is on.

  1. It's interesting how many people vote against their interests. I mean, Republicans are basically about enriching themselves, but I doubt your neighbors are seeing any of that in their pocketbooks.

    1. Exactly, it becomes about social issues that don’t affect anyone’s pocketbook.

  4. A picture of a grandparent is a great present for your children, especially if they knew the grandparent when they were young. Ahh the memories.

  5. A lot of politics these days centers around bathroom use and women's bodies. I think some types of people are sex obsessed. Or something.

  6. That's a nice photo of your mother.
You could become the activist at the Senior Centre to get recycling going.

  8. The building code here, now allows for single occupancy public restrooms with no gender, as long as there are two or more, and a lock on the door. It negates the issue of a trans person upsetting anyone who confuses peeing with sexual interest.

  9. Minnesota is a democratic state but only because of the Twin Cities and the south eastern part of the state. The rest of the state could be Idaho. I wonder who will be on the hit list when they tire of trans?

  13. Our stamp prices have gone up here in Canada as well. However, a clerk at Canada Post told me that if there is a 'P' on the stamp, which supposedly stands for permanent, if you are using this stamp, and the cost has gone up, you will not be charged more. Guess this is good.
You have definitely been busy, you are an inspiration!

  14. Nice post. I do like this photo of your mom. She is very pretty. Stamps are up and now there is a temporary 8% surcharge on certain parcel deliveries to address rising transportation costs, starting April 26. We will see how temporary it is.

  16. You’ve been busy! Between hauling brush and keeping up with your blog reading list, I’m not surprised you’re tired. That photo of your mom is lovely and will be perfect for the book you're making. Enjoy your photography 'assignments' this week!
