Before I went to the senior center for lunch I decided to stop in at one of our thrift store. In search of a laminator. They didn't have one. But they had two things I been in search of. Protractor set $1.99 and Notebook binder $2.99. The notebook binder usually runs $12 to $15 retail. The shoes weren't on my list. But my knock around shoes was getting on the woren side. So for $4.99. Now these shoes can go in the trash can.
At the senior center we had Indian taco, and pineapple upside down cake.
Yesterday I went to my surgeon who did my boob reduction. She said I'm doing good. I now can drive. So look out those on road way! For a while I been sleeping upright in recliner. Now I can sleep flat. A lease when I woke up this morning. I didn't have server case of rigorus mortis.
My new lap top is still frustrating me. It should be easy to set the time. One would go into setting. And follow the prompts. Not on that new one. I start signing into my chatgpt acount. My trouble is that things move way to quickly. One just slide around on screen. I'm even using a mouse at times.
...computers are great when they work!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the healing is going well and good luck with the crazy new computer.
ReplyDeleteGood to get new shoes
ReplyDeleteI hope you get the date and time set, can you get help at the library for that?
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about a senior centre is that someone else prepares the main meal of the day and the staff clean all the dishes and cutlery after. Did you enjoy the tacos?
ReplyDeleteThat was a good shopping trip.
ReplyDeleteYou had an all around good day. Except for the laptop.
ReplyDeleteI’d say you got a bargain
ReplyDeleteThat's some really good deals you found.
ReplyDeleteCongrats for having the surgery done, I know how good that feels! And Indian taco, hmmmmm, yum!
ReplyDeleteYou found some great deals!
ReplyDeleteThose look like comfortable shoes.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about the laptop. Have you tried a YouTube help video to shut the IA thing off? Or go into settings to allow local time to pop up? I dunno. That might not be either of the answers. All of our laptops and such we went into settings and allowed local time.
ReplyDeleteNice score at the thrift store. And glad your recovery is going well and you’re back to sleeping flat—that’s huge.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy these posts where you just share a snapshot of your day; it makes for such a fun read. Finding a protractor set and that great notebook binder at the thrift store is a huge win, especially saving that much on the binder. I love that you rewarded yourself with new knock-around shoes to finally replace the old ones. But the best news is definitely that your surgeon gave you the all-clear to drive and sleep flat! That "rigor mortis" feeling when waking up sounds awful, so that change must be a massive relief. I hope you get the laptop clock sorted out soon; new tech can be so frustrating when it won't do the simple stuff.
