Tomorrow is my moontha. Like a sabbath. Just going to do not much of anything. I wish I could honestly say I wasn't going to do anything. But what I need to will take less half hour. A little pick up in the morning, and in the evening, after dinner.
I been quite busy. I was hoping to get in a lease 20 minute of reading. It not in me. I think I will be able to 10 minutes or few pages.
I went to senior center this afternoon. Learn to make a bag to hold some plastic bags. Sewing up the side seams, we did what is called a french seam. Last time I did one, was back in school. Once the teacher, started me on one. It all came back.
We used to have bags to hold plastic bags, we called them the Bag bag and some people had quite a few all filled with plastic supermarket bags which didn't seem to get used for anything. Supermarkets no longer give or sell plastic bags here, they sell cotton bags with handles, and some other type made of something stronger, a type of woven nylon I think, they're quite strong, reusable and can be washed.
ReplyDeleteGoodness... teachers really DID know what they were talking about. In 1959 I didn't realise that.
ReplyDelete...we have a bag like this too!
ReplyDeleteThe seniors’ center has great programs.
ReplyDeleteSewing is not my thing …
ReplyDeleteYou have some super classes at your senior center. Better than a lot of places. And nice bag too!
ReplyDeletePlastic store bags have been banned here for awhile now. We have to take our own. I have a couple nylon ones that fold up into themselves so I can carry in my purse.
ReplyDeleteWonderful about the sewing
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful senior center.
ReplyDeleteThere are times when I'm just too tired to read. You'll get your reading time in, and it'll make up for the time you missed. Those books aren't going anywhere.
