I'm trying to open my search engine. I want to know if I dad was born on a Friday. His birthday is March 13. I was born on Friday. But the date was the 12th. It look like my dad was born on a Sunday. Since I'm days of the week, which my family was born on. I might as well look it up. My mom was born also on a Sunday. I don't know if it true or not. Back in the Puritans time if a person was born a Sunday. They figure 9 months back one was having sex. And one could be fine or even possible brought up to front of the church. Well it would be pretty hard to prove. Unless they had someone go around and peak in windows. Might as well look up date my husband and sons were born on. Murphy was born a Monday, Sawyer born on a Friday, and Bart was born a Thursday.
I don't why it took me so long to get my carpet vacuumed. But I did get done this morning, and load of laundry. It wasn't a full load. But more then half. Tomorrow we're going to dance show, Alice Through the New Dimension. Two of my granddaughter will be in it.
The reason I did a load laundry. I didn't want to be push up against the wall. So no laundry this weekend.
Murphy and I went to the senior center for lunch. They served Cabbage rolls with lamb, mix veggies which consist of carrots, broccoli, sweet peppers, and mushrooms. Mashed potatoes with gravy. And for fruit some sliced apples. Then they had the food give away. I'm hoping later on they will have Cherries. The other day I was in a store here and cherries was about $5.80 a pound. I doubt they will get done to .99¢ a pound. Like in the past.
The other places we stop was to pick up some prescriptions. Got gas, filled up my car. Gas here is $3.39 for regular. That's a gallon. Actual Murphy put in the full tank, I walked over across the parking lot, and went into the building. Set up appointment to have my car services. Which will be week from today.
I went to the library to pick up the book I ordered through inter-library loan. It should take about a week to read. Not sure what I will be reading next.
Coffee is on.
...of course I know my birth date, but I don't have clue what day it was.
ReplyDeleteGas is $4.21/gal here. At least, that's what the sign said when I passed the station I usually fill up at.
ReplyDeleteThere's a way to calculate what day of the week a date fell on. I read it in a book a while ago, but you can find the gist of it here: https://cs.uwaterloo.ca/~alopez-o/math-faq/node73.html
I don't know which day I was born on. Hey, cabbage rolls sure sound good!
ReplyDeleteI was born on a Thursday. Both of my kids were born on a Wednesday
ReplyDeleteSenior lunch sounds healthy
ReplyDeleteIf you google date and year it should say what day it was. We have cherries in the shops here, but it is off season so I don't know where they are from. I will read the label next time I go to the shop.
ReplyDelete" Back in the Puritans time if a person was born a Sunday. They figure 9 months back one was having sex. And one could be fine or even possible brought up to front of the church".
ReplyDeleteWere the Puritans mad???? First of all who cares (or peeks in) to see when spouses are getting together? And secondly they wanted the women pregnant all the time, yet their laws and customs were counterproductive?
Stuffed cabbage sounds good, it has been a couple of years since I last enjoyed that.
ReplyDeleteYou do seem to have good lunches at your seniors centre.
ReplyDeleteMy late husband was born on a Friday the 13th and he passed away on Friday the 13th. My daughter has taken up where he left off saying that it's her lucky day the way he used to. She has a Friday the 13th Tattoo now too.
ReplyDeleteYour seniors’ center provides a great selection of food!
