Today Is Saturday, April 19, 2025: This Is What Happened

In 12 days, another round of bills will start. Our natural gas and one of the credit cards come later in the month. Well, they're paid off. We did manage to get the wind storm limbs all picked up, and if it isn't storming, we will haul them off. The neighbors also have a load.

Maybe, I was putting too much thought into it when Murphy and I were over at his sister she is planning to do the Easter meal. Well, she is serving lobster and flank steak. I understand the cost of such foods. It is not something we buy. I know it has been well over 5 years since I had lobster. As I was leaving I mentioned getting hold of Bart and Molly, plus their girls. She was somewhat uncomfortable by her tone voice and action when I mentioned getting hold of Bart's gang. Faith has never been much of a planner. Do things on the spur of the moment. Their dad was like this as well. She mentions the cost. I know on my part it was a short notice. But in the back of my head, I wonder if there is another reason. She is quite famous giving people short notice. Lucky a 48-hour notice. I wonder if she got hold of Amy and Sam who would be Bart's cousin. And when did she get hold of them?

I started to watch Artist of the Year, both LANDSCAPE and PORTRAIT. I'm fairly sure this is based out of England. Not sure if other countries have such a reality show. The other one I've watched is ART BATTLE. The small city I noticed that hosts an art battle is, FREDERICTION. And the largest one is LONDON. Does your area hold any type of event? And which event would your area would hold? My three would be something to do with art, a scarecrow contest, and a period day. I know mine is pretty veg.

Coffee is on.

  4. I agree with one of the judges who wrote that landscape has long been a passion of British art. Does it continue into modern times?

  5. I can understand the problem with adding extra guests if she has already planned and costed the meal for a certain number of guests. it can't be easy suddenly having to buy and cook more or switch around and serve smaller portions to accommodate extra people. This is why I don't have "celebration" meals like Easter or Christmas, I can only afford to feed myself and my cat.
I hope the day goes well. I love lobster, but it's been well over twenty years since I had any.

  8. Lobster season starts here soon. The prices are expected to be really high this year. We may not be eating lobster this year!

  9. If the expense was too much, perhaps she should pick a different menu. But not a planner? Yeah, that tracks.

  10. We passed through Fredericton during a visit to Canada in 2008. My Easter dinner (at an in laws) was far from lobster. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  11. Yes we do get those programs and I’ve watched it a few times.
The price of food is getting ridiculous. I’m afraid it’s going to get worse before it gets better
