Statement time: I don’t know how much more stupid Idaho is going to get. I will let you follow the link. I usually get my vaccine at the pharmacy.
Welcome to Saturday 9. We’ve committed to our readers to post nine questions every Saturday. Sometimes, the post will have a theme, and at other times, the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks, we do “random questions,” so to speak. We encourage you to visit other participants’ posts and leave a comment. Because we don’t have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today’s meme! If you want to play, here is the link to other players.
The song is called “Back To December” by Taylor Swift, and here is a link to the song.
1)Taylor Swift sings that when her mind wanders, it usually
returns to a specific day in December. How about you? Do
you often daydream? Or do you focus on what’s happening at the moment?
I have ADHD. I tend to go from thing to thing. I’m working on it. At times, I have to set a timer. And stay on task for the set time. But it is good to dream either at night or daytime.
2) She’s looking back on December. We’re going with a different take: What are you looking forward to this month as we enter November? Nothing big. I don’t see anything happening out of the ordinary. I will probably see my son and his family in Spokane for Thanksgiving. I have a few things on my to-do list.
3) The lyrics recount a casual conversation between two former sweethearts. They talk about their families, their careers, and the weather. Are you good at making small talk? It depends on the person and subject.
4)This song was rumored to be about her breakup with Taylor Lautner, the actor best known for playing a werewolf in the popular Twilight series. In acknowledgment of the Halloween season, Did you ever trick or treat as a werewolf, vampire, witch, ghost, or other scary creature? I have been both a witch and a ghost.
5)Taylor is currently involved with Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, and naturally, this is his busy time of year. How’s your football team (NFL or NCAA) doing this season? It’s been a while since I’ve watched or followed any sports.
6) Taylor loves chicken tenders and says she’d eat them daily if calories weren’t considered. If you were to enjoy tenders right now, what dipping sauce would you prefer --sweet/sour, barbecue, or honey mustard? I do like all three. But my favorite dipping sauce would be blue cheese dressing.
7Thinking of food, Taylor Swift recently donated $5 million to Feeding America, with the funds earmarked for those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Does it make you feel good to do good? If yes, what is something you’ve done recently to help others? At times, I give to birthday charities through Facebook. I also pick up a few things for our local toy drive for Christmas.
8) In 2010, when this week’s song was a hit, the iPod Nano was also famous. Did you have an iPod? No
9) Random question: Did you run the dishwasher or clothes washer more recently?Dishwasher
We have snow on the top of our mountains.
I went to my art journal group. There were five of us.
When I hear “Train,” I think of a locomotive with cars behind it. Being pulled by an engine and going down some tracks. Not be trained. This painting is called Young Girl Leaning to Write. This painting is done by JEAN BAPTISTE CAMILLE COROT, and here is some of his WORKS

Fun Saturday challenge
ReplyDeleteNo vaccines, that sure is strange!
ReplyDeleteI’m holding my breath until Tuesday, the election …
ReplyDeleteYou chose a nice painting today
I'm with Songbird on hoping the country doesn't go nuts over whatever happens Tuesday with the election. My health care provider no longer gives vaccines, says to get them at the pharmacy, which constantly has a very long line of people waiting just for prescriptions. So I've not even had a flu shot this year.
ReplyDeleteLove that painting you featured today!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting ~ hoping for the best ~
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days ~

That was nice of Swift to donate to the hurricane victims.
ReplyDeleteI never had an iPod either.
ReplyDeleteToy drives are the best, aren't they? I just donated a Nerf football to a pediatric cancer patient at a loca hospital. It was fun, and I love thinking of him opening it at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy healthcare has tables set up at the entry for those needing vaccines. Our church has been doing Operation Christmas Child. I love filling a box for child. Local toy drives are nice too!
