Good News! Regis put some of his items in a box. Well, Murphy and I went into town to get some supplies. So stop in at Regis and bring him three more boxes.
Monday morning, I will text his therapist and give her a report that Regis is making an attempt to prep for the spray.
An excellent place to get boxes is from the state liquor store. Found out Monday that a shipment will be coming in. Although still determining what time. So I can pick up the boxes later on Monday or when they open on Tuesday.
Sad news...BROOKLYN ART LIBRARY....so hopeful other local and or community libraries pick up this ideal...It would be wonderful if every community (local) library did its version of the sketchbook project. So people could check out a sketchbook, like a regular book. Or even be part of the inter-library program.
Although I would like to bring my idea up with our local library board. But I still need to work out all the wrinkles.
But first, I want to see if the library board will consider adding DVDs and Audio to the inter-library loan program. February 8 will be our next library board meeting.
As for my well-being, weekly goals
Three naughty light-eating days. Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
I will increase my activity a midweek.
Work on my quilt block I have been embroidery.
It's Sunday and let's go through three bloggers that left comments. I will start with CHRISTINE and this comment...Nice artwork for lunch break...I like sharing art and creative things. Hopefully, once I'm working less. I will be able to share more creative things.
Now it's time for MARIE comment...You are brave to take on bedbugs. I don't know that I would be so brave...I wonder if I'm brave. I can't take all the credit for other people helping with the bedbugs. But I bet Regis and others would like to get the bedbugs.
The last comment I would like to share comes from RIVER...Nice art today :)
I have never heard of "Dangerous Method" is it a movie or a documentary?
I would stay away from the bedbugs too!... Dangerous Method is a story about Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, and Sabrina Spielrein. After watching the movie and reading a little about these three doctors. They may be some dispute on what happened. I will read it shortly, S.S. THE WOMAN AND THE MYTH.
I stopped by BOBBY BLOG, a new blogger. Which I found through PENGUIN
Glad you will be able to more creative with your art soon, it is relaxing
ReplyDeleteI saw "A Dangerous Method" a few years ago and enjoyed it too. I've always been interested in the conflict between Freud and Jung. Both shrinks crossed the line with some of their patients, that's for sure. The movie had a great cast of outstanding actors too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good idea to check with the liquor store and find out when their shipment comes in and ask them to save some boxes for you. Glad Regis has started to pack up a few things. It sounds like "A Dangerous Method" is NOT something I would like.
ReplyDeleteI saw the movie or read the book long ago, so long its fuzzy but the Jung/Freud feud was very bitter. Its sad Spielrein and her daughter were shot by the Nazis.
ReplyDeleteThe library here loans musical instruments, radon detectors and a variety of other items. These are all popular with the public.
ReplyDeleteYay! Regis is doing something. That's great.
ReplyDeleteA victory! It's a shame about the Brooklyn Art Library. Smithsonian Magazine had done an article about them a couple of years back. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteGood news about Regis :)
ReplyDeleteOur library (for a small charge) also loans DVD's and CD's ...
Books though cost nothing unless you keep them too long!
Wishing you a good week.
All the best Jan
Our library loans so many things and many I wouldn't even think of asking for. My daughter got a wonderful telescope so they could look at the moon the other night.
