Today Is Thursday December 29 2022, This Is What Happen

Had a grand time with Bart and Molly. And doing the grandma thing with Claudia and Wendy. Murphy got one of those fancy food boxes, and I got a camera.
When the Grandgirl opened their gift, they were so excited.

As many of you know, I'm heading toward retirement. So after the first year, I will be only working 4 days a week and taking Wednesday off. Regis has a running order to get a Toradol shot 3 days a week. So he gets his shot on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It has been suggested that he use Medicaid transport or our local bus service. But then Regis says, "He doesn't do Medicaid transport service and or bus service" Well, I guess he could give one of his neighbors a few dollars to run him across the bridge to his medical clinic.
It should or could be interesting when I don't come in on Wednesday.

My first Wednesday off. I plan to scrub down the entire fridge. Plus, even pulling it out and getting behind it. Also, wash down the flour and sugar canister. And the last thing is the coffee maker.

Sawyer and his family are taking us on vacation, and we have a choice of 3 places. Alaskan Cruise, Redstone, Colorado, and Laguna Beach, California. We have yet to make up our minds. But I'm leaning toward Colorado. It will be in August or September.

Today artist is PAULINA CONSTANICA who is from PHILIPPINES

  3. Isn’t it amazing how on “days off” we plan to do extra work around the house.
I’ve always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise! But no matter where you decide to go I’m sure it will be amazing

  4. Ah, so Regis feels too grand to use a provided public service or public transport. Don't you take him.

What a great offer from your son. I don't know Redstone but how to choose between the stunning scenery in Colorado and an Alaskan cruise. Your could drive to Colorado and even San Francisco but you can't drive the Alaskan cruise and I know people who have taken the cruise and absolutely loved the experience. That is a once in life time opportunity.

  5. Oh, boy, you are as terrible as me!!!!
Day off > I defrost the freezer and clean the fridge.
Glad it´s installed into the hole kitchen, so I cannot get behind it, LOL!
    Have fun ;-)

Oh, once I want to see California....

  6. Retirement plans . . . I have a few. We took an Alaska cruise in 2008, in early September, it was wonderful. Before labor day, lots of children, after labor day almost all adults - if you like having children around go for August. For me the highlight was the Yukon and White Pass Railway.

  7. Wow that is unbelievable to be given a vacation like that. I don't know much about Redstone Colorado or Laguna Beach. I did live in Alaska awhile when young, and took the ferry back to Seattle to Skagway, sleeping on the backpacker deck. That was after hitchhiking from Seward, where I'd worked, to north of Whitehorse, then hiking the Chilkoot trail backwards to Skagway. It's really beautiful country, to cruise up from Seattle through SE Alaska, but farther north, like Resurrection Bay, culminates at Seward, might be even more beautiful. I'm going to look up those two other places, see what they offer. Laguna Beach, I can't imagine what might be there, except, well, beach.

    1. Well after looking up Laguna Beach you might like it--lots of art!@ And its warm. Unlike where you or I live. Something different. I know people like cruise ships and I've never been on one, but seems like it would be boring as all get out.

  8. They say those who don't have plans for retirement don't see a lot of it. So make sure you have plans!

  12. Ooh, that vacation sounds fun. FYI, in Laguna Beach in the summer, they have a ton of art festivals. I'm particular to Sawdust. (It runs from June until August.)
