They were some interesting comment and Anna, who I believe I don't know. Made this comment over on Herald facebook page...”Shall we chat about your blog” I don't care who visit it. Only they press on the ad, so I can bring up the number and make a few extra buck. As I can see she against the school bond that we will be voting on this Wednesday. She mention she has trouble making her bills. I'm sure not rich. But I mange to pay my bills. I save back about $250 to pay our bills that we don't pay monthly. Such as property taxes, insurance, repairs, vacation, and such.

Usually our Library does a nice display of banned book, during banned book week. Not this year! Because of safety reason. Sad.

I always want to see a drag show. I don't know why they call it drag show. I would call it flamboyant or even possible exuberant. So I stay over at Liz and watch RUPAUL DRAG and I though it a fun show. They were couple of female who took part in the drag show. I don't see what the issue of drag reading to children. It like a someone dress up in a bear, beaver, buzz light year or what custom they choose. I thought of next custom I might do is a “Gas Pump” does that mean I could have effect on price of oil.
Well I talk to my son Sawyer, we will be heading down to see him in October. They are going over to UK in September. Next year they are planning to take us on a trip. They took us a week to Big Island.

ReplyDeleteHeritage Civilisation of Jews sounds interesting. As I understand it, from people I know here, if they can't get on top of their bills, they should stop spending. They use credit cards and buy things they don't need. I always manage to keep ahead of my bills and I am not rich either. My rent and utilities are my first priority, then food for me and my cat. Clothes are something I only buy when what I have starts falling to bits. And then I buy cheap things in the men's department, because they are cheaper than women's clothes. I don't care about being in fashion.

I don't know why dressing in the clothes of the other sex is called "drag" either, except it's a very, very old gay slang term from way back in the days when gay slang was meant to be understood only by other gay people. That's when terms like "gay," "straight" and "the closet" originated too but nowadays EVERYONE knows what they mean, lol!

ReplyDeleteThere's a story that I don't know if it's true, but I like it, so I'll repeat it. Back in Shakespeare's time, men played all the roles in plays. When they were playing a female, they were "dressed as a girl" which was abbreviated to DRessed As a Girl or DRAG, and this was noted on the script. I kind of like the idea that it's an acronym.
ReplyDeleteThere was a shooting in Bend last night, another man with an assault rifle. They haven't ID'ed him yet, nor the two people he shot in his hormonal gun rage. I'm sorry people are harrassing you because of what you believe. Some people cannot handle freedom, that's for sure, which comes with enduring things you may not like at some times, but like someone else commented, if you don't like a book, you don't read it. Doesn't mean it should be banned. We don't want America turned into a Taliban style Afghanistan, which seems to be what some of these radical right wingers want. But really? Do they?
